Chapter "Hitch A Ride On A Giant?!"
Before entering the Maze Sofia gestured to the tall mountain peak in front of them, and asked. "Are those-"

"The Horrid Hills." She told me with a shiver again.

"What's up there?" I inquired.

"Don't know, and I'd rather not find out if you don't mind." Aunt Tilly spoke to her niece.

Awhilr later we were in the Sunflower maze and stumped.

"Aunt Tilly, are you sure the Locus Pocus map said to go this way?" inquired Sofia.

"Absolutely, "Through the Meadow it said" but it didn't say how to get through the meadow." remarked Tilly to her new niece. Low mid right corner of the Maze map up above they ran into a deadend.

"Hmmn, maybe, we took a wrong turn." states Aunt Tilly.

"Aunt Tilly are we lost?" inquired Sofia.

"No, not all dear, we're right here." She replied. "It's the path that's lost!"

We ran into another deadend on the further left from our first spot.

"Oh, it's no use." Sofia groaned.

"Oh, come on, now Sofia, we've to keep trying; nobody's got anywhere by giving up!" She exclaimed.

"Oh! Okay!" Sofia comments after running into a few more deadends. "It's like a big maze! If only we could see over the flowers then we'd know the way out!"

"What a Wizbang idea! I'm sure I have something." says Aunt Tilly setting down her carpetbag, and opening it. First thing she pulled out with bouncy balls. "Maybe if we had a dog who likes to play chase!" Then a ticking clock and then a teapot tray with a teacup with tea already in it.

"Tear, dear?" She asked her niece as she finished her cup of tea.

"Uh, no thank you." Sofia responds.

"Here we are Magic Jumping shoes, try these on for size." She handed them to Sofia.

"Whoa! They're so fluttery!" S
They were flying with me already as I struggled to put them on while taking off my old shoes which my Aunt held for the time being after she closed up her carpetbag and kept in one of hands preferably her left one and held my other shoes in your right.

"Oopsie doozie upses daises!" Tilly said watch Sofia trying to figure out the Magic Jumping Shoes. "Whoopsie doosie, no worries! Third time's a charm, Sofia. Remember to keep your knees bent, and always remember what goes up must come down, dear."

After that advice, it really helped I mastered that in no time.

"I'm doing it, I'm really doing it!" Sofia exclaimed bouncing round the Sunflower Meadow maze that took up half of the portion of the area called "The Melodious Meadow."

"I can see the way, Aunt Tilly!" urged Sofia. From the picture, I think we all know which way Sofia went to get through that maze, right? Because it kind of does stick out in that picture?

"Excellent, dear!" Tilly praised Sofia's bouncing ability.

"C'mon, follow me." Sofia urged her Aunt on and they came out of the Maze.

A few minutes later.
"Shouldn't be much far now, keep your eyes open for a deep wide large—"

"Aunt Tilly, look out!" Sofia shouted as she pulled her back from the edge of the gorge.

"Gorge! You found it! Well done." spoke Aunt Tilly a big startled.

"Look there's a bridge," Sofia took notice of an old rope bridge across the width of the gorge with pieces missing off of it to their left if you turn your phone to be more at a lookout angle with these two. They went over to stand in front of the bridge.

"Ah, doesn't seem too sturdy, does?" Sofia questions her Aunt as I paused before saying, "Let's test it!"

"Good thinking, dear." compliments Aunt Tilly.

"Sure don't make rickety old rope bridges the way they used to." sighed Aunt Tilly.

"Garrawwwh!" A loud booming upset voice came from our right.

"Huh? What was that?" Sofia question.

"The only way to find out is to find out." comments Aunt Tilly. Aunt Tilly's sudden quirkiness made Sofia feel like maybe the palace might just be her home after all.

"Ah ha ha ha!" It was a giant crying really big tears sitting down on a cleft in the gorge.

"It's a giant." said Sofia in a whisper to her Aunt. "Why do you think he's crying?"

"Suppose you'll have to ask." Tilly encouraged her niece on.

"Me?" Sofia stammered.

"You." stated Aunt Tilly. She put up her umbrella to shield us from the giant's large tears.

"Excuse me, Mr. Giant Sir are you alright?" asked Sofia loud as she could. He blew his nose with a giant tissue, Tilly and I turned our heads from the giant breeze it was to us.

"Argh, ah no... I'm not at all alright." stated the Giant very upset. "I stepped on a thorn and it really hurts."

"Did you try to get it out?" Sofia asked.

"I did, but it's too small for my bigger fingers." He responds.

Hmmn...." says Sofia. "Maybe, I can help."

"But you're just a little thing what can you do?" He questioned. "Awwh, just go away! Eh, ha, ha!"

"I know it hurts, Mr. Giant, but if you let me take a look, I think I can help." Sofia said confidently. Tilly smiles at her brightly. Mrs. Hanshaw would love her so much.

"Here," He lifted his left foot and placed it right un front of us.

"Oh my!" gasped Tilly sweetly. "It's not a thorn dear, it's the whole bush!"

"Do you think we can get it out?" Sofia inquires to her Aunt.

"Well, we won't know till we try!" She exclaimed. "Be careful of the thorns!"

"Let's pull on the count on three." Sofia tells Aunt Tilly. "1, 2, 3!"

We pulled the bush out.

The giant was surprised exclaiming in disbelief as well as jumping for joy. "You got it out! You got it out!"

He jumped to the top of the gorge and the earth rebounded quivering at his joyful jumping underneath us.

"Oh, thank you so much, how can I ever repay you?" He asked.

"Well, there is one thing we do need to get across that big gorge." I stammered through my request.

"Ha! You call that a gorge, I can get over that in one step, come along!" He said lowering his hands for us to climb upon.

"Wow! We're so high up!" Sofia exclaimed.

"Yay! First time hitching a ride on a giant, huh?" Aunt Tilly asked her to which Sofia replied dumbfoundedly, "You've done this, before?"

"Who hasn't?" asked Tilly rhetorically to me very obviously.

"Hang on tight!" The giant warned as we came closer to the other side of the gorge, and as he lowered the two of us down we were merrily laughing with each other. When we were on the ground, Sofia waved and bowed saying. "Bye, Mr. Giant, thanks for the ride!"

"Sure thing." He answered. "Goodbye!" He salutes Sofia and waves back before going his way.

Tilly pulled out the Locus Pocus Map to check our path and compass point on it. Then she put it back in her carpetbag.

"Come along, Sofia, this way!" Tilly gestured. "We're just a hop, skip, and a jump away."

Chapter "The Woolly Wombeest"

"There they are The Arabelle Apples!" Tilly gestured to an orchard of Apple trees sitting behind a white fancy picket fence ladened with a bunch of fruit upon their branches.

"Wow! They're beautiful!" exclaimed Sofia.

Sofia's Pov
Tilly was one step ahead of me and pulled out a tan brown cloth from her carpetbag and said, "We can use this to carry them."
She hands me the cloth which I laid spread flat out upon the ground.

"Here's a nice red one, and yes, that one's a fine one too," remarks Tilly.

"Hehehe," I giggled. She had two apples in her hands already.

"And here's another." as she picked a third apple of a tree.

I went around about and picked five apples carrying them in my arms back to the cloth.

"How about these?" I asked her. There were four apples, placed on the sack, I placed my five down on it too.

"Lovely!" She compliments. Amber and James were sure missing out on how cool their Aunt actually was really.

Then Aunt Tilly placed three more onto it. 4 +5= 9 + 3= 12 apples on the sack currently.

"That should be more than enough!" Aunt Tilly tells me, so I start bringing in the corners of the sacks like you would fold in a bag, and it formed a sack where the apples were nicely cushioned.

"Huh, eh!" I lifted the sack over my shoulder, and said, "I got it!"

We exited out through the open white gate. As we did two trees disappeared behind us and golden sparkle sweeped through the area. I heard it and turned around just in time to see the Orchard moving disappearing right behind us.

"Huh?" I questioned. "The Apple Trees where did they go?"

"Of to find a better spot, I suppose." remarks my Aunt.

"Aargrrh!" a growling grumble emits out from before them frome something unseen and unknown.

"I hope that was your stomach dear." Tilly comments.

"No." I answered.

"Mine either." She informs me, then what was that?

From a thicket of thorns up ahead a giant black furry creature with purple wings went "Baaaagaaah!" flashing his canine teeth now that I think about it he was basically a giant winged bat with a chubby body and bottomless stomach, why do I say that you'll find out soon enough.
He startled me so much I dropped the apple sack in the process to the ground.

"Uh oh!" exclaimed Tilly. "It's a wild Woolly Wombeest!"

She put up her umbrella using it at a threatening yellow shield, and shouted. "Go on now! Be a good Wombeest! Shoo you! Shoo!"
"GARRR!" He roared.

"It's not shooing." I spoke in a fluster. We backed up slowly leaving the apples in front of us and suddenly his eyes went to the apples.

"You'd better get the apples." Tilly told me. Why was she asking me to do everything? I'm honoured, but she's the grown up she knows these wild beasts better than I do and when there's a wrong move to make. But I put aside my doubts and worries deciding to be brave.

"Hey, those are ours!" I exclaimed. After a few minutes of tug a war with the Wombeest he flew away with the apples.

"Aunt Tilly, he took all the apples!" I ranted on with a series of complaints. "And the Orchard's gone so we can't get more. Now, we'll never get to bake your pie!"

I sat down on a rock just my size, and held my forehead with my left hand, and slumped over.

"It's okay, it's okay, Sofia; I'm sure you'll come up with a solution." replied Aunt Tilly.

"Me?" I gasped. "What can I do?"

"The same thing you've been doing all day long." said Tilly. "You figured out a way to get through The Flower Maze! Bravely faced a Giant, and convinced to him to help us cross that gorge! Wow! Sofia, my dear, you have what it takes to be a Great Adventurer!"

Percussionistic explorer music starts playing in the background.

(The Lyric Video is for those of you wanna sing along with the music video, if you need the lyrics they're right here in this chapter too check back anytime to clear confusion, Joylights. If you struggle with moving on or if your life is even worth or your friends do play this song and say, "A reason to survive is to meet someone like Aunt Tilly along your future road!")

Aunt Tilly began to sing to me words of encouragement that moment, "🎶If you find yourself in trouble,
And you don't know what to do;
Don't pull your hair
Out in despair!

Before my song is through.

See I got a little recipe
To take away your woes.

And all of the ingredients
Are right behind your nose! (She taps at my nose)

((She went over to her bag and pulled out a mixing bowl still singing for me))

You just need too cups of Courage,
And a little pinch of pluck
(((Okay no one's ever told me I'm all that plucky!)))
A quarter pound of cleverness

A dash of plain old luck!
Then you mix them up all together
Into one Tremendous stew.
It's A Recipe For Adventure
Cooking up inside of You!

So put on your Thinking Helmet
Like Adventurers must do,
I have no doubt,
You'll figure out a great idea or two!

(((She turned my hat into a hat with a lightbulb at the top just by letting it soak in her magic carpetbag. Cool! James and Amber are missing all the fun! Aunt Tilly is really cool!)))

Cause the key to finding what you want
Is knowing where to look!
And now that you've got all the ingredients,
So now, it's time to cook!🎶 (((Hold tight the song's coming back. The Instrutmental bridge is playing)))

"If only, we could find the Wombeest, then we might get our apples back." suggested Sofia walking up to the carpetbag of her Aunt's.

"But he's long gone, dear, how can we find him?" questioned Aunt Tilly.

"Hmmn." sighed Sofia. I knew the answer and said. "Your Locus Pocus Map, we could ask it where the Wombeest went."

"That's a Wizbang idea!" exclaimed Tilly. She gives me the Locus Pocus map, and I rolled it out on the ground.

"Locus Pocus Map, please show us the Wombeest." I asked it nicely.

It gave a 3D image of the

"He's in the Horrid Hills." remarks Aunt Tilly says with a shiver. "Oh, oooo oooo!"

"That's okay," I responded and sang. "🎶Cause I got two cups of courage,
And a little pinch of pluck,
A quarter pound of cleverness,
And a dash of plain old luck!
Then I mix them up all together
Into one big Fricassee.
It's a Recipe For Adventure
Cooking up inside of Me!🎶

I was doing what she just taught me and got her smiling again as I handed her back her bag and umbrella and yes, I have my normal hat on again, and the Locus Pocus Map is back in the carpetbag safe and sound.

🎶We just need two cups of courage🎶 Aunt Tilly joined me in the song and it was the first duet I had ever sang in unison with one from my step-family now.

🎶Two cups of courage🎶 I repeated

🎶A little pinch of pluck🎶
🎶A little pinch of pluck🎶
We turned onto the path where the sign pointed the way towards the Horrid Hills.
🎶A quarter pound of cleverness!🎶
🎶A dash of plain old luck🎶
Together: 🎶Then we mix them up all together
Into one Tremendous stew!🎶
Aunt Tilly: 🎶Yum!🎶
Me: 🎶It's A Recipe🎶
Aunt Tilly repeats: 🎶A Recipe🎶

(You get the gist of it right now; right? I don't think I need to tell you who's line is whose anymore, currently right?)

🎶For Adventure!🎶
🎶Adventure!🎶
Both: 🎶And it's Cooking up inside of me, and you!🎶

We were at the bottom of the Horrid Hills now just inches away from us. So we took a few more paces towards the bottom of the Horrid Hills at the end of the dirt path together. When we were right beside the foot of the place, Tilly pulled out her Locus Pocus Map, and checked our bearings.

"It looks like the Wombeest cave is all the way up there." Her eyes went to the highest peak in the clouds that met the clouds at least.

"It's really steep." I noted to her.

"It sure is." agreed Tilly.

"Not even your Jumping Shoes could help us get up there." I stated.

"They sure couldn't." Tilly agreed with me again.

"But maybe, you have something else in your bag that would?" I suggested to Aunt Tilly.

"Hmmnnn. Good thinking." said Aunt Tilly.

"Let me see here, oh, Eureeka! A kite!"

She pulled out the smallest pocket sized kite I've ever seen from the carpetbag.

"That's A Kite?" I asked again a little confounded at all the stuff I saw come out of her carpetbag. I was seeing it but I still couldn't believe what I was seeing.

"Remember, things aren't always as they seem, dear." She enlarged the kite as she spoke to me.

"Wow!" I exclaimed.

"Ah huh." agreed Aunt Tilly. "Now we just need to pin the tail on the kite, and there we go. Now all we need is a breath of a breeze! Oh, wonderful, hold on tight, and up we go!"

Yep, you guessed it the tail for the kite was also popping out her carpetbag.

"Whoa!" I said as we lifted off the ground with the kite.

"I think we can see the whole Kingdom from up here." I remarked.

"Ain't that something?!" Aunt Tilly comments rhetorically again.

Tilly directed the kite carefully to entrance of the Wombeest cave." Sofia told most of the story to Ogron hoping to cheer him up a bit.

There was a hole in the rock emitting a green eerie light.

"That's Wombeest cave right there; oh I'll never fit in there."

"It's okay, I can handle this on my own, Aunt Tilly." I assured her.

"Spoken like a True Adventurer!" She compliments me yet again. Man! James and Amber really are missing all the fun today! I crawled into the Wombeest cave hole. "Keep going, Sofia! Be brave and bold like your new Aunt." My head no the conscience that governs my mind pushed me forward through the tight space.
