"Hi!" I yell as I walk into our apartment. Haley meets me in the hall and tags along to the kitchen. Ella greets me from the sofa.
Haley nudges me with a smirk. "And who's jacket is that...?"
I feel my cheeks warming up. "Tom's"
"Ooo." Haley smiles. "Tell me..."
I look over to see Ella paying attention to us from the sofa.
"What did you guys do?" Haley asks, still with that annoying smirk...
"We did our scene and then he gave me a ride home, and we stopped by the store." I gesture to the bags I'm unpacking.
"You were at the store for three hours?" Haley shakes her head.
I chuckle. "No, the makeup artists left before we finished so I helped him take off his makeup."
"And when did you get the jacket?" Ella is coming over now and she has this curious look on her face.
"I was cold when we were at the store and he gave it to me." I shrug.
Haley shakes her head with a smile. "Nothing else happened?"
Ella looks from her to me and back. "Okay, what's going on between you and Tom?" she asks me.
"Uhm..." I blank out. I do trust Ella. She won't say anything, but I just haven't said it out loud before. I have no idea what to tell her. I look over to Haley for help.
"She likes him..." Haley giggles.
Ella brightens up. "You do?"
I feel my cheeks turning warm again.
"Aaand... He likes her." Haley adds.
This makes Ella's eyes an inch larger. "Really?"
I don't answer, but Haley laughs and nods.
Ella pulls out a chair on the other side of the kitchen island. "Now I want to know everything! Has anything happened between you?"
"Definitely!" Haley squeaks and plops down beside Ella. I sigh, resting my elbows on the counter.
"Uhm... Well." I start turning to them. "You know when we were in New York for those interviews?"
Ella nods, paying close attention.
"We kind of hooked up, and then he invited me to dinner..."
"Wait, wait, wait... You two hooked up?" Ella shouts.
"Yeah..."
"Oh my god." Ella looks to Haley. "I know!" Haley laughs. Ella looks back to me. "Okay, so you went to dinner..?"
"Yes, which was lovely. Then when we were at that party we hooked up again and I kind of spent the night in his room..."
Ella's mouth fly open. Neither Haley nor I can hold in our laughs when seeing her expression. It is replaced by a big grin.
"I knew it! He acted so suspicious when we went home from that trip!"
I chuckle.
"Especially when he was asked if he's gotten anything... oh my god I should've realized!"
I hold up my hand. "We didn't have sex though, just so that's clear..."
"No?"
"No, it just... We didn't, he held back. Both nights."
Ella shakes her head with a sigh. "Tom... such a gentleman." Hayley nods.
"And after we came back... Not too much happened. We ordered dinner over at his place once, and yeah..."
"You still haven't had sex?!" Ella exhales.
"Nope. Nothing like that has happened."
"Oh, but what about that night when we found you sleeping together in the morning?"
"Nothing happened." I chuckle. "We did actually just read our lines that night."
"You were so cute... I should have realized..."
"Yes, you and Tom would be so great together..." Haley sighs resting her head in her hands.
"We met some fans at the store. One of them said the same..." I sigh.
Ella laughs. "Seriously? What did you say?"
"We didn't answer and just laughed. Neither of us brought it up afterwards..." I explain feeling my cheeks burn. "Before that they asked us if we were dating..."
"Oh my..." Haley puts her hand over her mouth.
I nod before continuing: "We joked with them before saying we weren't."
"Do you have any plans now?" Haley asks.
I shrug. "Not really... or... Well, he told me that if I had time one night, I could come over and he'd make me a secret pasta recipe..."
Ella jumps up. "Oh that's totally... That's him wanting... You're definitely having sex!"
I shake my head. "No, it wasn't like that... We were just talking about food we liked and I mentioned that I love pasta so he-..." I'm interrupted by Ella again:
"Oh, you're definitely going to have sex..."
"Yup." Haley agrees with a grin.
I cover my face with my hands.
"Did you get his number today?" Haley smirks.
I shake my head, but a smile is creeping up on my face.
"Y/n..."
"I didn't have to... I gave him mine. So I'm guessing I'll have his soon."
"Finally!" Haley yells excitedly.
"He offered me a ride to set tomorrow, so he needed my number to text me when he's here..."
"Excuses, excuses..." Ella laughs.
"I'm sure you two can tag along if you want?" I say, as I realize that they're going to set tomorrow too.
"Don't you have scenes from the morning?" Haley asks.
I nod.
"We don't have anything until after lunch."
Ella nods. "And besides... I wouldn't want to fifth-wheel you... ruin your moment..."
I shake my head whilst laughing at her.
We move over to the couch while Ella and Haley are talking about how they've noticed Tom looking at me and all the signs that he likes me. Ella goes silent for a moment whilst studying me. I raise a brow waiting for her to start talking.
"There is quite an age-gap between you, though."
I feel the usual pinching feeling in my stomach when remembering our age-gap. I'm pretty sure Ella notices because she's quick to ad:
"Not that it has to be a problem, I mean of course that can work, it just.."
I nod. "Yeah, I get it. I know. He initially didn't know my age when he asked me out..."
"Oh."
"We discussed it briefly once.. but yeah, I don't know. Maybe that's why he's a bit hesitant.."
Haley shakes her head. "I don't feel like he is though. You might be, but I think he just wanted you to go slow with respect for you."
I look up at her with a thankful expression. "Maybe."
Ella smiles. "Plus inviting you for a home cooked meal and..." she winks "that isn't exactly being hesitant."
I chuckle. "You get it wrong."
"Nope." Ella laughs.
Haley agrees with her, of course.
After a while Ella starts to think out loud. "I knew Tom liked a bit younger women, but..."
"What?" I ask.
"Well... he did date Taylor Swift, right..? And Elisabeth Olsen..."
Haley nods. "But on the other side, he also dated Jessica Chastain, and she's older than him."
"Yeah, you're right." Ella says.
I look back and forth between them. "Oh, my god I haven't even thought about his exes... I mean I knew about Taylor Swift of course, but..."
"Don't worry." Haley shakes her head.
I pick up my phone searching them up. Going through one girl prettier than the other.
"I find it weird that he hasn't dated more girls." Ella says leaning over my shoulder looking through them with me.
"Well there are some." I reply.
Ella shrugs. "Could be more."
"I guess so." I sigh as I wipe away my browser. Opening Instagram instead.
I keep going through my social media for a while. Then the news and stuff. That's when it pops up.
"Oh crap..." I blurt out to questioning faces from both girls.
I turn my phone to them and show them the headline Are Tom and y/n officially a thing now? And under that there is a picture of me and Tom walking out of the store together.
"Oh...." Ella looks up at me.
I shake my head. "We did run into some paparazzis..."
I can't help it. I have to click in and see the article. There are several pictures. Of us walking with our bags, loading them in the car, Tom opening my door... Shit...
"What is going on between Y/n and Tom? Are they dating? There are lots of rumors and fan theories surfacing recently about the Avengers star and upcoming actress. Fans are speculating that Y/l/n and Hiddleston might be Hollywood's next it-couple. Now it seems that there might be something to this... And we couldn't be happier about it.
Pictures of Tom Hiddleston and y/n y/l/n and are going viral after the two were caught going to the grocery store together, allegedly on their way home from set of the new "Man's strain" series they are both starring in. They disappeared together in Hiddleston's car. Fans are over their heads, believing that this confirms the two are dating. Especially because of one thing. It seems like y/n is wearing Hiddleston's jacket..." I read out loud to Haley and Ella. When I'm done Haley quickly rips my phone out of my hand. "That was quick..." Ella comments. I nod.
"Don't read that thing. Not good for anything." Haley sighs, before returning my phone. Ella agrees with her, so I don't.
"Don't think to much." Ella puts a hand on my shoulder. "It'll die out. They have articles like that about new actors and actresses every day."
I nod. "Yeah.."
Instead I go on TikTok, just scrolling for a while, whilst also paying attention to the two girls still talking about the article and how journalists always exaggerates way too much.
I notice that I've been tagged in a lot of videos and start to go through some of them. A girl is talking about how she can't wait to see the series and me in it. She also inserted some pictures from my shoot for the show, which was released a while ago. I like the video before continuing scrolling down my notifications and watching the videos. I quickly recognize a video taken today. At the store... I was right about the girls. They did film us... It's not a bad video at all though. It's just them asking us questions. Us saying that we aren't dating... She captioned it: "still can't believe this was real...".
I start to go through the comments. A lot are commenting on how lucky the girls were to meet us, how they wish it was them and some are asking questions about how we were like, if everyone had seen the pictures of me in his hoodie and a lot of other stuff. A fan account asked:
Did they give any signs that they like each other? I know they said they didn't date, but.... I still ship them!
The girl answered to this comment in a video. It's the redheaded one, and she talks about how we were both really casual and easy to talk to, and that they didn't really see any indications that we were dating. She also says that she too ships us. She ends the video by saying: "But I do believe them. I think the headlines are making a big deal out of something quite ordinary.. I mean they were just grocery shopping... Plus they deserve some privacy... Anyways it was so nice meeting them, they were both so nice and genuine... I'm still in disbelief, thinking I can wake up any minute."
There are lots of comments on this too, discussing privacy, the chances of me and Tom being a thing and what they'd ask us if they met us. I write a comment and think a bit before posting it.

I then go out of TikTok before the notifications blow up.
"Hahah look in the group chat." Ella says to us.
We have this group chat with Tom, Ella, Haley, me, Wrenn, Sienna, Robbie, Tanner, Sam and a couple of other from set. Sam has sent the link to the article about me and Tom.
