Narrator's POV:
The small Haddock family woke up to the usual cries of their now six month old daughter.
"Your turn, babe" Astrid said sleepily, wrapping her arms around her pillow
"Already on it" said Hiccup, who was sitting up, putting on his prosthetic. He walked over to Zephyr's room, and picked her up. "Good morning, princess" He said, and she stopped crying immediately.
"Dada!" She exclaimed, and Hiccup's eyes grew wide
"W-What did you just-"
"Dada!" She said again, leaning her head against his chest
"Astrid! Astrid! Zeph said her first word!" Hiccup said as he ran to his room to show his wife
"Huh?" She replied, still waking up
"Zephyr called me Dada!" He said excitedly, "C'mon show mommy, Zeph"
"Dada!" She said smiling, as if she was proud of herself being able to say the word
"Oh my gods!" Astrid said, and sat up immediately, "Good job, baby! That's Dada! Can you say mama?" she asked as Hiccup placed Zephyr on the bed next to Astrid
"Mmmama" the little child said, "Mama Mama Mama!" She started to clap her hands, which made her parents laugh

*two and a half years later, Zephyr is 3, Dustin's 5, and Hiccup and Astrid are 25*
Hiccup and Zephyr woke up early to walk Toothless while Astrid slept in. She lay in bed for a while before she suddenly felt nauseous.
"Oh, Thor. What's happening?" She said as she ran to the toilet. Let's just say she was blowing chunks, as Hiccup and Zephyr returned home from their walk.
"We're home, honey!" Hiccup called out as he helped Zephyr take off her coat. Zephyr ran off to play in her room, while Hiccup went to his and Astrid's room. "Astrid? Are you still asleep, milady?" He asked, starting to get a little concerned, spotting their empty bed
"In here, babe!" She called out, then proceeded to blow more chunks
"Astrid! Are you-" He bursted into the toilet
"I'm fine.....I'm fine" She said, wiping her mouth, "Was just a little nauseous, that's all" She said, giving Hiccup a look
"Do you think you're-" His eyes widened
"Well, I don't know for sure" She replied quietly
"Well, if it is what we think it is...I'm happy" Hiccup said, pulling her in for a hug
"Me too" Astrid said, wrapping her arms around his neck and leaning in for a kiss, they stayed like that for a while before-
"I want cuddles too!" They heard their 3 year old demand, as she ran into their room, and they laughed
"C'mere you!" Hiccup said, and they all cuddled before getting on with the rest of their day.

Now the Haddocks and Hoffersons were really close, and they meet up every month to catch up with one another in either Stoick's house or the Hoffersons, today they met up at Stoicks'. Hiccup and Astrid were just getting ready to leave, but Astrid had some news for Hiccup first.
"Love, can you come help me?" Astrid called out from their room
"Coming, Milady!" Hiccup called back, "Zeph, stay here with Toothless. I'll be quick" He told his daughter before going up to Astrid, "What do you need, honey?" He asked, walking over to her
"I can't tell if there's one or two" She said quietly, holding up a pregnancy test. Hiccup was speechless for a minute before he replied
"There's two" He whispered, staring at the test, "There's two!" He exclaimed, picking her up and spinning her around.
"I'm pregnant" Astrid said, tears of happiness spilling from her eyes
"Are we gonna tell our parents?" Hiccup asked, wiping away her tears
"As much as I want to tell them, I want to make sure first, so I booked a doctors appointment" she replied
"Now?" He asked, quite shocked
"Yeah, we could drop Zephyr off at your Dad's, then be back there before dinner starts" She said
"Okay, I mean we have time to spare don't we? But are we gonna tell them today?" He asked
"No, I want to tell them in a special way, and besides I want to explain it to Zephyr first" She said, smiling
So after dropping Zephyr at Stoick's house, Hiccup and Astrid quickly went to the doctors, and they had discovered that not only was Astrid pregnant, but she was already a month in!
"What?-" Astrid asked, sitting up on the bed
"Yep, look here you can tell that the baby's already a month old in there" The doctor said, pointing at the ultrasound, and I let out a breath in surprise, "Congratulations" She said, then walked out to give me and Astrid a moment
"Astrid...this....this is amazing" Hiccup said, running a hand through his hair. He was still in complete shock of finding out that his wife is pregnant
"I know! Now, we better hurry to your Dad's place. We don't wanna be late" She said, and with that we left
When we arrived, we were welcomed by two small figures running at us
"MAMA, DADA!!" One of them exclaimed
"HICCUP, ASTRID!" Exclaimed the other
"Dustyyy! Zeph!" Hiccup and Astrid said at the same time, pulling the two kids in for a tight hug
"Son, you made it just in time! Me and Barnaby were about to start grilling!" Stoick said, placing an arm around his son
"I think I'll pass, Dad" Hiccup muttered, after being freed from his Father's grasp. Grilling wasn't his thing even though he was an excellent chef
They sat together in the backyard, exchanging stories, and enjoying each others company. Zephyr and Dustin were playing with Toothless and Stormfly, while all the adults were chatting. They would've gone chatting for hours if it weren't for the two kids complaining that they were sleepy, so with that everyone headed home. Once Hiccup and Astrid had Zephyr ready for bed, they decided that they'd tell her
"Hey, Zeph instead of a story tonight mommy and daddy have something big to tell you" Astrid said, as she sat down next to Zephyr in her bed
"Okay" She replied, rubbing her eyes, "What is it?"
The couple exchanged a look before Hiccup spoke, "Well, what do you think about having a little brother or sister?" He asked, sitting down on the edge of her bed
"I like that! Me and Dusty get to have someone else to play with!" She said, excitedly
"So what if we told you that there's a baby in mommy's tummy right now?" Astrid asked, placing a hand on her stomach, where the baby would be, and Zephyr looked at Astrid's stomach, curiously
"How does a baby fit in there?" She asked, clearly confused
"Well, right now the baby is as small as a grain of rice. The baby will grow in mommy's tummy that's why they're gonna be in there for 8 whole months" Hiccup explained
"Wow, baby's so tiny! Was I that tiny?" Asked Zephyr, who was always quick to catch on things
"Yep, you were a tinyyyy baby, but now you're a big girl right?" Astrid asked, and tickled Zephyr
"Mommy stop!" Zephyr exclaimed, while laughing
"Okay, now goodnight" Astrid said, giving her a kiss on her forehead
"Goodnight, monkey" Hiccup said, tucking her in
"I'm not a monkey daddy. I'm a big girl" The child replied, rubbing her eyes, before slowly falling asleep
The two watched their daughter sleep peacefully before heading off to bed themselves
"I can't wait for this next kid" Hiccup said, plopping down on bed
"Me either, and I have a feeling this one's another girl" Astrid said, placing her hand on her stomach again
"Really? I think it's a boy" Hiccup replied, kissing her stomach before resting his head on his pillow
"Oh so do you wanna bet?" Astrid, who was always so competitive, asked
"Sure, if it's a boy you're gonna have to change all of the poopy diapers for a month" He said, smirking
"Well, if it's a girl, and I know it will be a girl, you're cleaning Stormfly's litter box for a month" She replied back
"Deal, but whatever the gender of our baby, I'll still love it the same" He assured her
"Me too" She said, and with that they both fell asleep
