Laila's POV
Damn that was so straight forward but the fuck. I wasn't flirting with her in fact it was the other way round.
"No miss." My gaze dropped to the fall as she raised her brow towards me in amusement. I felt her chair scrap against the fall before I felt slow strodes of her towards me making my heart race as my hands got sweaty.
Minutes later , I could see her feet in my gaze but I didn't bother raising my head to meet her gaze but I could feel then burning into my skull as my anxiety kicked in immediately.
"Laila baby, do you mean I'm stupid that I don't know what's wrong and right huh?" Her voice was full of mockery as she dared me to speak up but I didn't.
I didn't say she was stupid but if she says she is then it ain't my problem .
I felt her hand raise to my shoulder before rubbing the part smoothly as her touch calmed my racing heart a bit.
"Speak up baby, tell me how stupid I am?" She closed the distance between us before her hand raised my head so I could gaze in her eyes.
I could see the rage beneath her mockery gaze and I knew if I said one stupid thing I was going to see it in it's fullest.
I didn't speak up instead my eyes searched something else to look at except hers. I felt her kiss her teeth and the next thing I know her hand is wrapped tightly around my neck as her nails dug into my skin as I flinched in contact.
"When I fucking ask you something Laila, don't make wait because you make yourself look so fucking dumb which isn't cute darling so fucking answer me." She leaned her face towards mine as her grip tightened more making me struggle to breath as my eyes rolled at the back of my head.
My hands automatically went to hers as I tapped her telling her to stop as I took shallow breaths in my mouth but she didn't stop until I nodded
I couldn't help but cough my lungs out as I rubbed my neck to smooth the pain. Her hand ran through my scalp smoothing the pain too, tugging my hair softly as she massaged my scalp too.
After seconds of gaining my breath , I gazed up to her through my eyelashes."Um.. I was being polite miss." It was partially the truth because I myself found her attractive.
"There are other ways of showing politeness instead of eye fucking my clients." She whispered after a long minute of staring down at me.
I opened my mouth to say something but she stopped me. "You know what just fucking stay away from her. She's no good." I couldn't help but roll my eyes inwardly wondering since when I was told which people to be with and not.
She walked away from me but I stopped her voicing out one of my thoughts."Why should I stay away?"
"Because I said so Laila. I'm your boss remember?" She looked back at me obviously with one brow raised. "Do you have a problem with it?"
"Yes because you are intruding in my personal life miss." My voice came out strong than I imagined it which took her back a bit.
"Intruding in your personal life? "Skylar broke up into laugher as if she has heard the most funniest thing in the world which made a cloud of embarrassment creep it's way to my cheeks in a blush as my gaze dropped to the floor.
After her laughter died out her eyes trailed down and up my body slowly while she licked her lips as she walked towards me closing the space between us.
What is she doing?
She raised my head with a raise on my chin before leaning her forehead with mine. My eyes drowned in hers as I searched for any other emotion except amusement in them but I found none.
"Baby don't tell me you forgot who you belong to huh?" She whispered making her lips brush against mine as my stomach did flips when sparks erupted on my lips.
Her gaze never left mine as her breath fanned above my nose as her hands rested on my hips then pushed my body onto hers so there wasn't any space between us .
It was just forehead to forehead, chest to chest and so on. "Baby tell me who you belong to cause I know you know." She whispered again as a questioning gaze lingered between us.
I couldn't help but I wonder who I belong to because I surely believe there isn't anyone which made me gain a crazy thought making me smirk before speaking it out.
"No one." The fury that had died in her eyes multiplied ten folds more which made her shut her eyes before opening them again after a brief second. "Leave my fucking office now before I show you who you belong to."

Hours later
I couldn't help but wonder what would have happened if I voiced out how badly I wanted her to show me who I belong to but of course everything doesn't happen as you want it.
I looked out in the window realizing it was already evening meaning now I have time to take out this sexual frustration I have towards my boss.
I heard a talk on my door and the next thing Anna was already in my eyes sight practically running towards me with her hands held out for a hug.
"Hey bitch," I hugged her tightly. We can call each other bitch, babe, whore etc because we're best friends for life.
"Hey babe, you ready to go?" She plopped down on my office couch as she raised her legs so they could rest on the couch too.
"Give me a minute, I have to take some files to my boss." I organized my desk before grabbing the file then walking around my desk to the door but it opened first before I could open it revealing my boss.
My boss was leaning at the door frame with one of her arm tucked in the pocket of her black pants suit. Her eyes roamed away from me throughout the room before landing on Anna who was already staring at her.
They stared at each other as if I wasn't in the room with them Anna looked like she had found something she had been looking for years.
What's wrong with this two?
I cleared my throat after a minute of them not looking away."Um.. here are the files you requested." I handed them to her but she refused to take them out of my hands which made me frown .
What have I done now?
"Let's go talk." She glared at me to follow her and I obeyed but not before whispering to Anna who had a scowl on her face."I will be back in 5 minutes."
I smiled at her before walking out and following my boss to her office but we didn't enter.
She turned to look at me before wrapping her hand around my jaw tightly before whispering in my face. "Whose that to you?"
I felt my jaw wanting to crack. I wrapped my hand on her wrist to tug her hand away from my jaw so that to lessen the pain but she didn't bug instead tinglingly sparks erupted through my arm and I think she felt them because her hand left my jaw.
My eyes were glassy with tears by then and all I wanted was to cry my eyes out but I swallowed them. I cleared my throat and replied. "My best friend"
"Since when?"
"Highschool"
"Oh , is she in a relationship?" The fuck? What's wrong with people nowadays.
"Yes with her boyfriend."
"Since when?"
"Three years back." Tears were glistening at the corners of my eyes and I could tell they were about to escape any minute from now which made her thumb brush at the corners of my eyes where tears had formed softly before she stared at me briefly before walking in her office with the file in hand.
I took it as a sign to leave and I left feeling all shattered and so embarrassed though there was no one else there except us but it was so embarrassing to like someone for two years without them noticing you.
I walked back to my office in silence . I opened my door and Anna jumped a little. I half chuckled pretending everything was fine and in no time we walked out of the company to the parking lot making small talks.
I didn't tell her what happened in there because I just didn't want to think nor talk about it.
We entered my car and drove off to Kings. It was 7pm and though tomorrow I had work I didn't care. I had enough shit of life today's.
We parked at Kings and got out. Anna was telling me about her stupid boyfriend all the car ride but I wasn't listening in fact I was lost in my thought.
"Let's get wasted." I yelled over the music as we entered the bar after giving our IDs to the bartender just on the entrance. People were all around the place as if it wasn't just 7pm making me wonder if people have work to do.
We walked to the bartender and ordered shots. Anna ordered tequila and I ordered whiskey.
We took five shots at first time each before I sighed deeply as the liquid burned down it's way in my throat.
"Let's go dance." I shook my head at Anna which she gladly returned before springing to God knows where.
I smiled a little and continued to order other shots and It didn't take long before I was slurring over my words as my vision became blurry but it was too early for me to get drunk.
I looked around for Anna who I found grinning onto some guy before I walked over then swayed my hips to the music as sweat formed on my body making my hair stick in my face due to how my hands were playing with it.
I felt a gaze on me making me uncomfortable which made me stop my movements then look in the direction.
There she was legs wide apart with all her eyes on me as she smoked the blunt in her fingers. I couldn't see her face because of the lights but I could tell she was hot.
Her shirt was basically sucked on to her. You could see her muscles and her abs printing through the shirt.
It was a black button up with sleeves rolled up to the elbows showing her snake tattoo and black dress pants.
I didn't waste any second before walking to her making sure to sway my more more that usual in no time I kneeled on the couch before swinging my leg to one of her side straddling her lap so I could get a better view of her face
