After getting dressed and mentally preparing themselves to put on a happiness facade both headed downstairs for breakfast. Upon entering the dining hall, Ishqi was greeted with a hug from Rahul which immediately irritated Ahaan but he tried his best to appear unbothered.
Kartik/Tara/Ishqi/Ahaan/Rahul were present there- Rhea had gone with her family to a relative's place while the others were either finished with breakfast or were still sleeping. The five of them took a seat on a large circular table that had a peach table cloth spread across it and a lavender scented candle in the middle.
Ahaan sat on Ishqi's right side while Rahul on the left, next to Ahaan was Kartik and beside him was Tara. Ishqi awkwardly sat back in her seat but she could sense Rahul's gaze glued upon it, it made her kinda uncomfortable. Ahaan sensed the slight discomfort on her face, he squeezed her hand under the table and a smile crept up on her lips.
He lifted her hand a little and tightly encased his in hers, she reciprocated and both sat there with their hands' tightly interlocked under the table. Soon the waiter approached the table and greeted them. "Good Morning! What would you guys like to order?" he asked with a bright smile plastered across his face.
Rahul/Kartik/Tara gave their orders and then Ishqi spoke,"I'll have a fruit bowl with a cup of whipped coffee"
Ahaan smiled at how similar they were, "I'll have the same" he said and the waiter nodded and went back into the kitchen to fetch them their orders. While they waited, the five of them sat in awkward silence, normally Kartik & Tara would pester Ishqi and Ahaan about their feelings for each other but Rahul's presence restricted them from doing so since they didn't want to hurt his feelings.
Ahaan and Ishqi too wanted to reveal their relationship to Tara and Kartik as they believed the two deserved to know but again, because of Rahul they couldn't. Tara and Kartik kept throwing Ishqi and Ahaan mischievous glances while they both looked everywhere but each other and Rahul stared at Ishqi.
To break the silence Rahul said, "How was the movie Ishqi?"-
"Kon si movie?" Ishqi absent minded replied and immediately bit her tongue after.
Rahul: Jo tum kal raat ko dekh rahi thi? Tumhi ne toh kahan tha that you were watching a movie?
Ahaan: Bohot interesting movie thi! he replied casually while Ishqi glared at him with a "wtf are you doing?!" look-
Rahul: Tumhe kaise pata?!
Ahaan: Meine bhi dekhi thi that's why...
"Oh Bhaisaab!" Kartik mumbled while Ishqi eye's widened, "wtf is AVM doing?!!" she thought as she stared daggers at him-
Rahul: Ahaan what are you saying?! Tum aur Ishqi raat ko...saath the?!
Ahaan: Uh- No bro! Chill! Mein aur Ishqi bhala itni raat ko saath kyun hoge? Right Ishqi? he smirked while looking at Ishqi, who couldn't quite figure out what Ahaan was trying to do but still nodded.
"Umm woh toh hum..Netflix password share kar rahe the na so I knew what she was watching...meine bhi woh movie dekhi hui hai...You should too!" Ahaan said and Ishqi sighed a breath of relief-
Rahul: Movie kon si thi?
Ahaan looked directly into Ishqi's eyes and said, "I love you"- Ishqi's choked on her spit and started coughing- she chugged the glass of water in front of her in one go. She turned her head to look at Ahaan whose gaze was already glued upon her, Kartik and Tara noticed Ishqi and Ahaan's eye-lock and grinned from ear to ear, they hadn't bought the story- they could sense the tension between them.
Rahul: Huh?
Ahaan: The movie, it was titled, "I love you"
"Oh"- Rahul nodded, he had some doubts in his heart as he could see Ishqi and Ahaan's growing closeness but the story and excuses Ahaan had come up with sounded quite believable...he chose to let it go as he didn't want to give Ishqi the idea that he didn't trust her.
Soon the waiter interrupted and served the quintet their breakfast, they ate silently and then dispersed their separate ways. At least that's what they made it look like in front of Rahul, in actuality, Ishqi and Ahaan both went to the poolside and Tara and Kartik followed behind them.
~ At the Poolside ~
Ishqi stood in front of the pool, looking straight ahead, feeling worse for keeping Rahul in the dark about her feelings for Ahaan when she felt hands around her waist and a soft kiss on her neck, without even turning around she instantly knew it was Ahaan...she could identify his touch.
Ishqi felt all her worry and stress go down the drain, Ahaan was her mood-lifter and stress-buster. She put her hands over his, "AVM" she muttered- "hmm" he replied, Ahaan gently turned her around, "Kya hua?" he asked-
Ishqi: Kuch bhi toh nahi-
He held her chin and slightly lifted her face to look him in the eyes, "Ishqi, I know you and I know ke tum kis cheez se upset ho, don't worry meine ek idea socha hai...saab ko humare baare mein baatane ke liye"-
Ishqi's heart fluttered at the thought that her banda knew her so well despite knowing her for a not very long time. "Log sahi kehte hai, the amount of time you've known someone doesn't determine how well you know that person.." -
Ishqi smiled, "Aapko kaise pata ke mein yehi sooch rahi thi?" she asked while a mischievous grin lingered on her lips.
Ahaan smirked, "Saab pata hai mujhe tumhare baare mein" he said flirtatiously as he pulled her closer than she already was. Ishqi encircled her hands around his nape, "Acchaaaa, par aap mujhe ek baat toh baatao"
Ahaan: Poucho-
Ishqi: Ahaan Veer Malhotra ke kitne shades hai? Matlab jo dining hall mein hua woh-
Ahaan cut her off, "That was not Ahaan Veer Malhotra, that was AVM aur "Ishqi's AVM" has all the shades you can think of...but just for you" he winked and Ishqi's heart skipped a beat.
A dark shade of blush coated her cheeks but she cleared her throat and managed to say, "W-waise apne waqai mein woh movie dekhi hui hai?"-
Ahaan: Kon si movie?
Ishqi: Arrey wohi, "I love you"-
Ahaan: Nope, meine toh buss apni feelings confess ki, waqai mein- mein kehne wala tha that "I love you..Ishqi" but phir socha ke Rahul ko heart attack na aajai...
Ishqi giggled and slightly tilted her head to look up at the sky, "Haaye Rabba, kitna daring banda mila hai..."
Ahaan: Daring tha nahi, tumhare saath reh reh ke hogaya houn...Ishqi Effect-
Ishqi pulled his cheeks, "Accha aab iss se pehle koi aajai mein chalti houn"
Ahaan: Ek second, aaj ka plan to sunn lo, Ishqi nodded while Ahaan continued speaking, "Ok so at 2pm kissi bhi bahane se Wilton Mall aajana...mein Coral Cafe mein tumhara wait karunga"
Ishqi: Date ke liye bola rahe hai? she asked teasingly-
Ahaan blushed, "Hmm, par time pe ajana, I don't like late arrivers!" he said in his khadoos tone and Ishqi chuckled, "kitne cute hai na aap" she said and planted a kiss on his cheek, Ahaan closed his eyes in contentment. "Byee" she said, "B-" Ahaan was about to say something when Kartik and Tara both approached them from behind the pillar, they'd seen and heard things that left them stunned.
Both were elated that Ishqi and Ahaan had accepted their feelings but confused ke when it happened?!
Kartik: What the fudge! he exclaimed-
Tara: Yahan kya horhea hai!!!
Ishqi and Ahaan's eyes widened, they looked towards Tartik and then at each other, "had they heard?!" they both wondered at once. "K-Kya horhea hai?" Ishqi said tryna act oblivious-
Tara gestured towards Ahaan's hands, that were still wrapped around Ishqi's waist, they both looked down and upon realizing their proximity, jolted away from each other making Tartik laugh.
Kartik turned to Tara, "Aaj inka kon sa button dab gaya hai!"
Tara: Pyaar ka button...aur aaj nahi, kab ka daba hua hai, humein buss aab pata chal raha hai!
Ishqi and Ahaan stood there awkwardly knowing that the two had caught them red-handed, "Waise, aap dono toh chupe rustam nikale!" Tara said making Ishqaan look down in embarrassment.
Kartik: Aur nahi toh kya! Hum dono toh kaab se Ishqaan shippers hai, humein toh baata dete!
Ishqi: H-Humein khud hi kal pata chala aur phir itna kuch already horaha tha ke time hi nahi mila-
Kartik: Waise bhai and Ish-bhabhi, he said while Ishqi glared at him to lower his voice, "Koi sunn lega Kartikkk!!" Ishqi said-
Tara: Aap dono toh bohot ki daring nikale! Khullam khulla romance kar rahe the...shukar karo sirf meine aur Kartik ne dekha...soocho agar Rahul yah Rhea hote toh!
Kartik: Toh phir hum abhi poolside pe nahi, balke hospital mein hote, he said making the others giggle. "Waise guys, unn dono se yaad aya ke aab aap dono ka aage ka plan kya hai??"
Ishqi: Thodi der mein, mein aur AVM cafe jaake plan kareinge...
Tara: Date and all huh?? she said making Ishqaan blush while Kartik was surprised seeing his brother blush.
Kartik: Bhai, yeh aap hi ho na, matlab abhi bhi "Ishqi's AVM" mode on toh nahi hai?
"Shut Up Kartik!" Ahaan said but with a huge smile on his face.
Tara: Chalo Kartik, hum chalte hai...Aap dono continue karo- she said teasingly and left with Kartik while Ahaan and Ishqi stood there with crimson red cheeks.
Ahaan: Ish-
"Bye!" she said and ran away from there making Ahaan giggle, "Kitne different the na hum dono but now we're both tied together with the thread of love for a lifetime... And I can confirm that Ishqi will always be Ahaan's forever!" Ahaan mentally said while a content smile lingered on his lips.
