TW: pills/arguing
'Why are you being so n-nice to me.' Nat stuttered through the sobs, she didn't understand how someone could want her. 'Because I care about you, more than anything on the world.' Y/n replied still rocking Nat gently. 'B-but i don't deserve it.' Y/ns heart broke at Natasha's words. 'You deserve the world Natasha and I'm not going to let you go until you admit it.' Natasha in that moment didn't want to let go but would never admit it it was wrong to feel like this... wasn't it?
« Yeah it is you can't get close to people all it does is open you up to be hurt look what happened last time I let someone care for me » Natasha thought. 'Okay I'm amazing can you let me go now?' Y/n hummed and released their grip on Natasha. 'Thanks, nite.' Nat said abruptly climbing back into bed and hiding under the covers y/n knew she wanted affection but at the same time it would just confuse and upset her more
so they just placed Ted on the blanket whispered a goodnight and left the room.
The next morning.
'Hey guys I'm sorry about last night.' Nat apologised focusing on the floor shifting nervously. 'It's okay Nat, you alright now?' I asked gently. 'Yeah thanks.' Tony took the hint and grabbed his toast and coffee and left. 'You wanna watch a movie then maybe go grab some food?' Nat nodded hesitantly. 'Can I pick the movie? Knowing you you'll pick a kids film and I'm really not in the mood.' She tried to laugh it off but I could tell she was just scared in case she slipped it hurt me not being able to comfort her and let her know it was okay to slip.
Nat got up grabbed a pill bottle out of the cupboard. 'Natasha what are those?' She ignored me unscrewed the cap and took one. 'Nat.' I said firmly trying to hide the panic. 'It's nothing y/n, just painkillers.' She dismissed before placing them back and acting as if nothing happened. 'Nat we both know those aren't painkillers.' She shrugged. 'So what? Why do you care what I take?' I saw the tears build up in her eyes. 'I don't know maybe because you never take pills, and I need to know what what they are so I know you're okay. Did someone give them to you?' She rolled her eyes. 'Of course someone gave them to me how else would I have them.' I sighed. 'You know that's not what I meant.' She started getting angry. 'What are you trying to do here y/n? Why are you so interested in what I'm doing?' She stormed over to me. 'Because your scaring the shit out of me!' She froze.
'I love you Nat you're the best friend I ever had but this is scaring me. And you won't even tell me anything as far as I know those pills could be anything. You don't want to tell me fine just know that I'm going to care about you and ask how you are even if you hate me for it.' I went to turn away. 'The red room gave me them.' She said plainly and I turned. 'They help me stay on top of things.' She looked ashamed she even had to take them. 'Okay... are there any side effects?' I asked stepping closer to her. 'Yeah, they make me fucking awesome.' She jumped over the back of the couch landing perfectly. 'See I'm awesome.' I couldn't help but chuckle as I walked round the couch like a normal person. 'Okay move your 'awesomeness' Is taking up the whole couch.' She huffed dramatically before moving the tiniest bit. 'I can't sit there sit up.' She shook her head and nodded to her arms. 'Hurry up!' She shouted pulling me into her arms. 'See I finally get to cuddle you instead. 'Holy fuck you're strong when you want to be.' I said trying to get out of her grip. 'Yep now shut up and watch the movie.'
That's how we spent the rest of the day with me in Nat's arms which I feel like she only did to get payback but I didn't care
This chapter was more tense, and shorter than I usually do but I have to add drama somehow hope you still liked it
