Zaid: I promise you abbu I will never let that happen.
Ahmed: But beta I don't want to put any of your life in danger.
Zaid: don't worry abbu nothing will happen we will complain police about it.
Ahmed looked at him and that look said a lot to Bijan, Asad and Zaid. It was as if he knew what will happen and how things will get manipulated. So Bijan spoke
Bijan: Bhaijan what happened? Do you doubt that police won't help us?
Ahmed: Yes Behan (sister) I doubt. He has taken the help of a local gangster also to threaten me.
Asad: Who is he abbu?
Ahmed: Some Dilawar Pathan he called me twice and has threatened me.
All of them looked at each other getting tense. They all knew that they have to find a solution for this before everything gets ruined. Suddenly they heard the doorbell knowing that this would be Saad so Ahmed said

Asad and Zaid said in unison: Yes abbu and Bijan also said: ji bhaijan (yes brother)
Bijan stood up to open the door and saw Saad's happy face and smiled at him. As he entered in he greeted all of them and then went to his room to get freshen up. At night all had their dinner behaving normal but Asad was tense and Zaid notice this so after dinner when he saw Asad going towards the terrace he followed him and saw that Asad was sitting on a swing and his eyes were closed so Zaid sat down beside him and took his hand in his and asked.
Zaid: what happen bhaijan?
Asad open his eyes and saw Zaid and just nob his head in no and patted on Zaid's hand with his other free hand. But Zaid knew something is off.

Zarin: So did you ask Asad bhaijan again that what happened?
Zaid looked at her whose head was on his lap above the pillow. He pinch her nose lightly and chuckle and said
Zaid: yes princess I asked bhaijan but he said he will sort it out.

Zaid: princess do you remember when Zoya, Zara bhabhi, and Yusuf bhai told us that abbu and Asad bhai had gone to Mahira bhabhi's house

Zaid: princess that was the same day when abbu and bhai came home tense and Asad bhaijan was tense and sitting on that swing at night after that event which took place at Mahira bhabhi's house.
Zarin saw him and asked
Zarin: Did Asad bhaijan tell this afterward.
Zaid smiled at her and said
Zaid: No princess that day bhaijan never told anything but after hearing Mahira bhabhi and Asad bhaijan story in hospital by Zara bhabhi, Yusuf bhai, and Zoya, I had many questions going in my mind. So after you were discharged and went with Mahira bhabhi's to her house during that one week, one day I sat with Bijan and Asad bhai and asked everything so I came to know a lot.
Zarin was shocked to listen to this so she asked

Zaid smiled at her and said
Zaid: Yes princess bhaijan knows that we know everything because bhaijan is too smart to fix the clues. But I had taken a promise from bhaijan that he will never tell this to Mahira bhabhi.
Zarin smiled at him and he lean down and gave her a quick peck. Zarin was curious to know more so she asked
Zarin: Then what happened Zaidji?
After that almost two days pass and then the worse day of our life came.
Zaid closes his eyes to control his tears and anger. After a few seconds when he open his eyes he saw Zarin was looking at him with so much love and kiss his palms and knuckles of his hand and said

He was shocked to hear that how easily she could read him as it was only Saad who was able to read his mind and not even Asad and Bijan. He was very good to mask up and keeping a blank face. He saw her and smiled at her and kissed her forehead and said

He bend down again and gave her a quick peak and looked at her smiling face. He knew that how easily she uses to get scared and would have a panic attack. It's just because of Mahira she slowly started becoming confident and then the khan brothers also help her to grow her personality as a confident and expressive girl. Zarin smiled at him and kiss his palms again. Zaid decided to continue again
Zaid: After two days when we completed our breakfast we all left for our respective places. I drop Saad first and then left for my college but my bike broke down and abbu's car passed by me. Seeing me he stop his car and asked that what happened. I told abbu that my bike had broken down so abbu told me to park it and he can drop me at college. I was very happy because after growing up it was very rare when abbu use to drop us. As abbu said I parked my bike and decide to call a mechanic and fix it while coming back from college and will enjoy this ride with abbu. So I sat down and buckled my seat belt and abbu started driving. We had a few talks here and there and then my college came. Abbu brought his car on hold and parked it near a footpath a few inches away from my college gate. I smiled at him and unbuckle my seat belt and said thank you and was about to open the door, but abbu told me to wait and I turn back and saw him with a smile and waited for him to speak as I could easily feel he wanted to tell me something. So I waited and when did not say anything and just kept staring at me with love which was a bit confusing but as I was getting late to go to the college I slowly took his hand in mine and asked "abbu what happened?" and abbu took my face in between his hands and kissed my forehead and kept his lips over there feeling me. I was taken off by the abbu's this behavior. It was not that he never loved or kisses us but I could feel everything different as if this was our last drive and his last kiss to me.
Zaid close his eyes and a few tears travel to his cheek and Zarin slowly sat down adjusting herself and wipe his tears with her finger and Zaid notice that Zarin was no more lying so he said
Zaid: Why princess, why are you sitting?
Zarin looked at him and kiss both his cheek and said
Zarin: Zaidj I want to see you and want to hug you to comfort you.
Zaid gave her a small smile and kiss her forehead and said
Zaid: Ok princess. So let me continue. After that kiss abbu moved back and took my hands in his and said Zaid beta I love all three of you a lot and Bijan is my responsibility as my sister. But beta in case if anything goes wrong in our life then promise me you will be like a shield for all three of them. As I know very well that neither Asad nor Saad will be able to fight and face your uncle.
Zaid became silent and Zarin hold both his hands in hers and lightly squeeze them. Zaid looked at her and continue.
Zaid: I promise you abbu I will always be like a shield to all of them and waited for abbu to say more but abbu hold my face in his hand and kissed my forehead again. I asked him the reason after he left my face that what happened abbu, but he said I love you Zaid and one more thing there is a surprise for you and Saad tonight by me and Asad.
Zaid became quiet so Zarin asked
Zarin: What was that surprise Zaidji?
Zaid looked at her and said
Zaid: Princess the surprise was Asad bhaijan getting married to Mahira bhabhi that day in the masjid with abbu's permission and his presents but instead of that...
Zaid pause and a few tears rolled down his eyes. Zarin whipped them with her fingers and Zaid hold her hand and said in a broken voice as few tears were still rolling on his cheeks
Zaid: abbu's car met with an accident
Zarin moved forward and hugged him and started moving her hand on his back to comfort him. He to hug her back and cried his heart out. It has been five years since he had been strong in front of his family and the mafia world but today he found someone with whom he can share his pain. He knew she won't judge him and he does not have to put the mask of being strong in front of her. It has been 5 years that changed everything from a medical student to mafia king and this wound was still fresh in his heart and mind. Zarin: yes, I and aapi used to watch a movie daily through we used to leave it half and you know Zaidji I use to sleep in between the movie keeping my head in Mahira aapi's lap, and then she used to wake me up and then would again move her hand in my head so that I could go to sleep again after lying in the bedroom.
Zaid smiled at her and said

Zarin quickly nob her head in yes with a full blow smile and Zaid again gave her a quick peak and then continue
Zaid: ok princess now let me continue. As I said abbu drop me at my college and I went inside and abbu's car drove away. It was after around two hours when I was in the laboratory when my phone started ringing thought it was on silent mode but I always use to keep vibrate mode on. I slowly put my hand in my pocket and removed my phone and saw Asad bhaijan was calling me. I just disconnected his call and he again called me and after the fourth call I knew something is wrong otherwise bhaijan would never call me like this. So I took the permission of my professor that I have an urgent call coming from home can I pick it up and he accepted. Keeping my things in the lab only I just moved out and picked up the call but what I heard next moved the earth beneath my feet. Asad bhai told me about abbu's accident.
Tears pooled out from both of their eyes. Zarin whipped her tears and then his and join their forehead to hold his hand and kiss his knuckles. After making sure he is fine she slowly moves behind and looked at him with love still holding his hands in hers and waiting for him to speak. After a few minutes, Zaid spoke again.
Zaid: I took the permission of my professor and left from there. As Asad bhai told me he has taken abbu to the city hospital. Princess, it was my last day in that laboratory and that college as a medical student.
Zarin saw him with did not utter a word and allowed him to speak, so Zaid continue
Zaid: I reached the hospital and saw Asad bhai his kurta was covered with blood. I and Asad bhaijan waited there as abbu's operation was going on. Suddenly my mobile beep indicating a notification of a message. It was an unknown number so I did not bother to check, but after a few minutes I got a call from a different unknown number and the person told me to check the message sent on WhatsApp. But before I could speak the other person kept the call. I check my WhatsApp along with Asad bhaijan and it felt like someone has poured cold water on us.
Zaid stop speaking and Zarin saw him that he was lost somewhere. When he did not speak again so Zarin slowly tap his shoulder and asked
Zarin: what was there in that message?
Zaid looked at her for a few minutes as it visualized the incident and when Zarin kept her hand on his shoulder he came out of his trance and said
Zaid: Saad got kidnapped and was tied to a chair.
