Allied Forces Temporary Forward Operation Base
In the southern front, nearly three months before. The Qua Toynese-ASEAN-Quiran Alliance decidedly to build a base situated at the Southern part of Quira to monitor and deter any Laurian threat in the southern territory of Quira. And it was currently composed of Qua Toynese army of 20,000 man infantry forces accompanied by 24 wyverns for air Support, Quiran 1,500 man mountain troopers which essentially the counterpart of modern day Special forces or Guerrilla Fighters. Additionally, they were reinforced by 2 regiment of tanks and armoured vehicles, 1 multiple rocket launcher battalion and single air defense artillery battalion of Myanmar Army.
Originally, the Myanmar army should be on it's way to become a supporting elements in the capture of Laurian capital in compliance of it's commitment to the ASEAN but the ASEAN council themselves immediately ordered a halt to any operation that yet to be initiated. Thus, they've became one of the inadvertently affected and paralyzed Units in the rodenius expeditionary forces. And, presently accompanying the Qua Toynese Forces under the command of General Nou as originally they've assigned from becoming the Supporting elements in the blitzkrieg at the Laurian capital which latter instead ordered to turned be the escorts of the friendly countries for the counter offensive at southern front.
Brigadier General Myint Than, The Commanding General of Myanmar Army Contingent in Rodenius Continent. Together with his adjutant Colonel Thein currently strolling in the traffic of allied soldiers whom preparing for the offensive that will culminate later on
"Colonel any updates?"
"There's no note worthy reports at the moment General"
"Hmmm... what's with this briefing yesterday? Any comments, Colonel about those potential threats posed by nations belonged to this world?" Reading the summary of the briefing in the documents he holds by using his fingers to traced the contents.
"Nothing really sir. As this world's proclaimed strongest or should I say the American equivalent of this world, The Holy Milishial Empire is at the level comparable only to post world war 2 or early cold war nation, in a nutshell their technological level is about 60 years inferior to ourselves."
"You got it right at the same time wrong" on the tone the general let out the Colonel is visibly confused " you missed the point, you said they were on the level of post world war 2 era right? Then, there's a possibility they have the capability of manufacturing nuclear weapons"
Astonished, Colonel Thein turned his eyes wide open. Indeed, if think about it the possibility are definitely high. As one of the reports that the holy Milishial empire are deploying jet engined aircraft look a like in service, albiet it was only as fast as early prototype jet aircraft with a top speed of around 500 to 600 kilometers per hour according to the accounts of Qua Toyne spies and gossips or common knowledge came from the travelling merchants.
"But, ain't that overestimating General? Sure thing they are capable of deploying jets and that's commendable but in the face of this technologically inferior world there's no need for them to deploy such destructive weaponry akin to a nuclear bombs honestly speaking"

This country's technical level is messed up; we can't really estimate them but they concluded that they are at least in the level of interwar period or late WW1. As they have Pre dreadnought class of battleships dating around 1890 to 1904 which technically very modern in this world, the spies also reported they own aircraft carriers so it'll be around early 1920's to mid 1930's and lastly their biplanes called marine have a top speed of 350 Kilometers per hour, this aircraft also possibly could reach around 420 kph according to some analyst, making this country in level of pre transitioning era of biplanes to monoplanes. With a possiblity that they already owning monoplanes in secret turning them in level comparable to early world war two models"
"That's... The intelligence agency, I guess are paranoid, they bloated the threats of these nations too much. In an event of war with any nations of this world I could say that we are guaranteed to emerge victorious General"
"Well it's alright... After all it's better to prepare against unkown adversaries than being sorry"
"I concur General, But there's also too many inconclusive information we've got according to the accounts of spies that we really wanted to get and confirm. The nation of Mu, the sole scientific nation of this world, considering their modernity compared to others, doesn't have tanks making their technological evaluation in ground warfare lower than expected or they doesn't have submarines making them vulnerable to submarine attacks if they don't have the concept itself thus they'll also lacking in countermeasures against underwater attack too, so this concludes that they aren't a big deal at all"
"Then that made them even more dangerous, they don't have tanks so the alternative is chemical weapons as Trump card which our mechanized forces hardly deployed chemical resistant vehicles in service and additionally very large caliber cannons, a direct hit from 6(155mm) and 8 (203mm) incher is enough to wrecked a modern main battle tank in pieces"

"Even if they have tanks indeed it won't really Matter because the tank gun calibers will be only just vary to 20mm to 57mm in our vantage point those are peashooters and larger than those around 70 to 100mm would be short barrelled howitzers which not designed to destroy tanks but it'll meant that they possess some insights on how to counter the tanks and armoured vehicles we field at worst because they don't have tanks could also means that this country don't fight head-on or cutting the chase they will fight in a guerilla warfare. It will literally escalated into bloody hell if happens, even us with modern equipment it'll hit hard if we fight them headon in that kind of doctrines"
Nodding in agreement, Colonel Thein knows what's it'll look like in a guerilla war with a nation equiped with appropriate load out even if it's outdated, they could still considered as threat. Examples such as awfully equiped forces able to hold against much better equipped and larger hostile forces on their own aren't that rare; in winter war were the numerically inferior Finnish forces managed to plummet down the advance of Soviet's numerical forces (with numerous air and tank support) on their own, mujahideen fighting toe to toe against much technically advance and larger armed forces around the world more specifically in middle East, and many proxy wars fought in cold war between NATO/Western&Capitalist states and Warsaw pact/Eastern bloc.
No matter how cutting edge a nations military is, it won't matter against a guerilla whom blending in a civilian population and will only fight when necessary. To them patience is necessary, even Vietcong's are waiting for weeks in the underground tunnels just to catch a unsuspecting prey. As they know when and where to fight after all unless they want to get unnecessary attentions and get unilaterally eat dozens to hundreds of anti-personnel/napalm bombs and cannon shells.
"So, in your opinion General, both of them are threat?"
"Nah... Only the Milishial are the threat. Mu is another thing, they seem relatively mild in comparison to other so called superpowers of this world"
"Is that so, means so other than Mu, those other superpowers is like Parpaldia in the north with have some loose screws in the head? With expansionist ideology like those in age of sail, of conquer all lands you discovered without restrictions or simply eat all you can buffet-like thing..."
"Not entirely, the Parpaldia seems the only one aggressively conquering it's neighbors while the others such as Milishial and Reifol they only assert some political and diplomatic pressures"

Well kinda racist ones...yeah something like that, and a magic supremacists country so the effort to reach on them was put on hold due to we are not capable of using magic, so they might turn down which said a futile endeavors to do so...." The talk lasted for a few minutes before they move into their own respective office
Half an hour later. After they ended their stroll, the adjutant received a information from the HQ which he immediately reported to Brigadier General Myint Than "We'll begin the invasion right now? Isn't it a bit too early, I thought they plan to invade simultaneously"
"They said it's all planned General, so we don't need to worry about it. We just need to destroy their large camp and occupy the designated towns and cities that the council ordered to be under control"
"What about the original plan. Ain't we are just escorts here? General Nou of Qua Toynese forces sure spicy on us, he might disagree on us taking the lead" Remembering the first meeting between the two Generals, which turned into a bit heated argument with each other.
"The council ordered the ambassador to the Qua Toyne to announce the change of plans, which seems shocked them quite unexpectedly but in the latter they agreed on our propositions"
"That's impeccable of them, how about our preparation?"
"Our forces are ready to move out at any given moments, The rocket artillery battalion can be ordered to begun demolishing the hostile camp in mere seconds upon order, the air defense battalion will guarantee that the enemies won't get hold an aerial support to hinder our advances and lastly our very own air support are currently taking off, inbound on this region"
"Just to be sure sent out a messenger to General Nou, we will begun the offensive"

Several minutes later they manage to get an approval from general Nou but in one condition that they accompany in the offensive which greatly trouble the Burmese soldiers as there's no way the medieval era infantry will able to keep up with a modern mechanized infantry, but in latter they decided accept it which delayed their offensive more than an our due to stagnated and slowpoke infantry of Qua Toynese forces, this also means the Short range one time air Support they've got were forced to return to base slightly forcefully which turned into a bit of conflict with each of field commanders due to the unexpectedly situation.
Inside the command center Brigadier General Myint Than, begun ordering his soldiers to advance. Over a hundreds of tanks and armoured vehicles rumbled and slowly begun to move in their objectives under the jurisdiction of Colonel Thein. Originally, the general intended to join the frontline physically but decided to withdraw to direct the combat Management in all theater.
"Are the Qua Toynese calvary moving out?"
"It seems the case General, over 300 of them" communication staff replied
Sighing on the Lamentations that they should babysit this antiquated army which slowing their advance. General Than, begun thinking on what course of action he will take "How about the air Support? Their ETA?"
"8 to 10 minutes, that's their estimated time of arrival general"
"I see, give orders to the crews of Grad's and MAM-02 to begin shoring up their equipments we will pulverized the enemies, adjust the angle of their MRLS... The target is the laurian camp over there, and wait for further instructions"

The order was immediately transmitted to the multiple Rocket launcher battalion, personnel scrambled to re-checked and readjust the angles of their MRLS upon completion they begun settledown and wait for the following orders from their respective commanders and few minutes later the order came
"How far our armoured forces from the enemies?" General begun questioning his subordinates "About 8 kilometers General, moving at 24 kilometers per hour adjusting to the speed of calvaries they will reach the Team A's first objective the city of bram within 10 minutes and for the Team B would be driving straight to town of Alfet around 18 minutes but seems it would be less they said they will speed up and lastly the Team C would do a thorough mopping of enemy remnants"
"That's it? Get a hold to the rocket artillery battalion, ready to fire" communication staff swiftly followed the order, the operators of 6 BM-21 Grad and 4 MAM-02 begun to do their last minute check "Fire" a short word later drowned with a screech of rockets thrusting to sky, over 200 122mm HE rocket projectile from BM-21 grads were unleashed together with much larger and more powerful 240mm but fewer number of 48 fragmentation-HE from 4 Units of MAM-02, supplementing the destruction of Laurian camps. Those rockets drawing a parabolic trajectory as if like preying to their targets.
On this moment, Colonel Thein and his advancing armoured columns could get a visual of hundreds of rockets leaving a trail of white smoke emerge from the base signaling the offensive have begun.

2,000 meters above the Quiran-Laurian Border
7th Light attack squadron, 1st ASEAN Forward Air Wing
This Unit was solely composed of light attack aircraft which either an armed trainer or dedicated counter insurgency (COIN) aircraft. Because the full fledged attack aircrafts and multirole fighters where reserved for the offensive against the heart of Laurian kingdom---to their capital and surrounding cities and towns.
Due to lack of proper ground attack aircraft. They ended mainly pulling trainers and cheap light aircraft out from each member states for this mission. Which they manage to scrape 15 aircraft with a composition of 4 Burmese Yak-130, 3 Thai Alpha Jet, 4 Indonesian and 3 malaysian BAE Hawk, and sole Vietnamese L-39 Albatross

"Mustang leader to all unit. The rocket artillery of Myanmar army on ground have launched their attack that's our heads up, the operation have begun. Commencing attack I'll repeat Commence attack!" The 15 aircraft unit have broked their formation into 8 and 7 grouped units each.
While accelerating to their objectives, they monotonously watching the destruction of Laurian camp literally getting demolished by hundreds of rockets. Each impact of High explosive rockets, fire emerge everywhere. Blowing everything into smithereens, they could also see the Laurian soldiers running away from the destructive power of Rocket artilleries "That's quite hellish" "No mercy" "Hey now that's what we called the suppression fire, a nice fire worka on display in ground" "Rest in pieces" "That's bad not in pieces in smithereens" "don't you get feel bad at them" "it's their fault picking a fight with us"
"Quite...Quit the unnecessary talk we're in the visual range of the targets" Mustang lead reprimanded them to end their bantering
"Mustang 04 to Mustang leader there's something wrong with the targets"
'what do you mean something wrong' thought by mustang leader, then he got the glimpse of a Exodus of people running away from towns and cities that they targeted.
"Did they get a wind of our offensive mustang leader?" one of his subordinates questions which prompted Mustang leader swiftly replied "Definitely they are, I guess when our armoured forces moved out they begun evacuating their assets and personnels"
"But the Laurian camp didn't? They are much have slower response they might mitigate their casualties if they responded accordingly"
"I don't know their reasoning. Either way we'll proceed in the operation according to plan"
"What about the fleeing people? They might have reasonable Supplies and pool of enemy troops escorting them that needed to be eliminated?"
"Let them be. They are low priority targets; destroy the towers, walls and barracks in the cities and towns. Let's expand our plan a little bit let's also destroy Laurian canaries and windmills to cease their food productivity"
"But sir, we might cause a famine here if we do that?" His subordinates questioned him reasonably. Indeed if he ordered that, it'll definitely cause a famine that could unnecessarily claim lives once the food productivity of this region ceased
"Don't worry. The supply and logistics corps have plenty of food excess coming from the Qua Toynese food ministry, we'll fed them and gain their trust slowly. Then let them think that we are much better than the Laurian kingdom. They aren't that patriotic to their kingdom in the first, place as long as they benefits from it they will stay under their control"
His subordinates come to realization and nodded in understanding "The other group begun their attacks we'll also begin" 8 aircraft grouped launched an attack in the city pretty much destroying the towers and barracks unilaterally bombed it, also they strafed those who tried to opposed them by using magic or bows which pretty much futile to even scratch the paints of attacking squadron.
Then they shifted into attacking undefended canaries and windmills much to the horrors of the farmers who chose to remain into their farm lands but fortunately none of them were killed due to the pilots didn't outright attacked them because of scarcity of munitions. After completion of the mission they returned to base to get refuel and resupplied for another attack run on the various cities and towns in the region.

And that's the end of phase 1. So, I put photos of Units here because they might not get the imagination due to those unkown units like MAM-02 of Myanmar (PS. I don't know this unit so I put the illustrations as some of the readers might not know what's it's look like). Also, this alpha jet thingy its a unit first time I learned about, together with L-39 ( this aircraft I thought first as a-37 seems I'm wrong)
In the other chapters without illustrations the reason is, the units despict there are relatively famous almost no need for a photo like Gripen, F-15SG, F-16 or F-18D or tanks like leopard 2, T-72 or T-80. I guess the trouble only is the ships class due to they are much more numerous types than those aforementioned units
