Saturday July 26, 1980
Last week they found out that Dorcas was murdered by none other than He Who Must Not Be Named himself. Everyone was completely devastated but the war didn't give them much time to mourn. Just to add onto everyone's stress, Remus had been sent on a mission yesterday. He was supposed to be coming home this morning.
Andy woke up to the sun shining through her window. As she was getting dressed she remembered that Remus was going to be back today. She quickly pulled her shirt over her head and ran out of her room and down the hall to Remus and Sirius's room.
The door was already open but no one was in the bed so she assumed he was already down stairs. When she gets to the kitchen she only sees Sirius.
"Is daddy back yet?" Sirius turns to see the little girl with a worried face.
"No, not yet but I'm sure he'll be back any minute, don't worry," Sirius answers with a reassuring smile. "What'd ya want for Brekkie?"
Andy just shrugs and sits down at the table. Sirius sighs and sits next to her. He knows that she has a really special relationship with Remus. That they're closer than the rest of the boys. He doesn't mind though he can understand where it comes from.
She brings out the best in Remus no matter how sad or how much pain he is in, she always makes him happy. Remus does the same for her, they have a very special connection. Even if the others get jealous sometimes, they understand.
"Pup, you don't need to worry, okay. He'll be back real soon. I promise."
"I know, I just hope he's alright."
"How about eggs and toast?" Sirius asked, standing up.
"Sure," Andy nodded.

Sirius tried to spend the day making Andy not be so nervous. It was like she was just counting the hours he had been gone. Every few minutes she would look at the clock and Sirius didn't want her to spend the whole day worrying so he came up with an idea.
"Andy," she looked up and Sirius who was now standing in front of the couch she was sitting on. "You and I are going to go see a film."
"What? Why? What if daddy comes home while we're gone?"
"Er, don't worry about that bit, we'll be home," Sirius said happily. "There's an American film that came out yesterday, why don't we go see it?"
Andy thought about it for a second before answering. "What's it called?"
"Caddyshack, it's got that guy you like, Bill Murray."
"Oh I do like Bill Murray," Andy answered. "I just don't know..."
"Aw come on sweetheart," Sirius smiled, sitting down next to her. "Y'know you wanna." He poked her side lightly making her giggle.
"Hey, no tickling," Andy protested, trying to hold back her giggles.
"Oh? Is that so?" Sirius questioned, smugly slowly stretching out his arms towards her slowly.
Andy tried to get up but he pulled her back and started tickling her. She laughed loudly and so did Sirius.
"O-okay, I-I'll go!" Andy yelled between laughs. Sirius stopped and gave her a hug.
"Yeah, that's what I thought," Sirius said, giving her a wide grin.
Sirius picked her up and they apparated around the corner from the theater so no one would see them.
They got a large popcorn and drinks then walked into the theater. During the movie Andy decided her favorite character was the gopher and even though he was annoying Bill Murray, she didn't want him to die.
Once the film was over, they made their way out of the theater.
"I liked that film, did you?" Andy asked, smiling up at Sirius.
"I'm glad you did and yeah it was great," Sirius smiled, ruffling up her hair. "Come on, let's get home."
They apparated back to the cottage. When they were about to walk through the door they could hear someone inside, it sounded like they could be crying.
"Andy, stay here," Sirius whispered, pulling out his wand and opening the front door quietly. Andy waited outside nervously hoping it was only Remus. "Oh shit, shit, shit," Andy heard Sirius mutter from inside.
"Pa? What is it?" Andy called worried. Sirius didn't answer but she could hear the crying get louder. She opened the door slightly and saw Sirius helping Remus to the couch.
Remus was covered in cuts and bruises. There was blood all over him and the floor. Andy stared at him in shock.
"Andy!" Sirius yelled, making her snap back into reality. "Go to James and Lily, get them over here now."
Andy nodded and ran over to the fireplace and grabbed a handful of Floo Powder and went to the Potters.
"Prongs! Lily!" Andy called. Lily came as fast as she could for being nine months pregnant with James behind her, and Peter behind him too. She didn't give them a chance to talk and told them that Remus was badly hurt. They all rushed back to Remus and Sirius.
Sirius had gotten Remus on the couch but he didn't seem to know what to do. He heard them all come back and let out a sigh of relief. His eyes were filled with tears when he looked down at Remus.
"Lily, you gotta do something," Sirius begged, his voice cracking as he spoke with tears rolling down his cheek.
Lily didn't hesitate for a second and rushed next to Sirius and immediately started trying her best to heal his cuts.
Andy stared at Remus, completely horrified but at the same time she couldn't look away.
"Sirius!" James yelled, waving a hand in front of Sirius's face. "Take Andy out of here, she shouldn't be seeing this."
Sirius nodded, still in shock, not fully realizing what's going on around him. He pulled Andy out of the room and took her to her room.
He started to walk out again before she spoke softly, "wait, please stay." Sirius turned back around and walked over to her bed, sitting next to her.
The two of them just sat in silence for a while staring at nothing, only thinking about how Remus was doing.
"He'll be fine, he'll be fine, he's gone through much worse at a much younger age... he'll be fine," Sirius whispered to himself over and over. Andy turned to look at Sirius and moved closer to him and put her tiny hand over his. This got the attention of Sirius and he smiled slightly at Andy.
"Yeah, he's gonna be fine," Andy agreed.
They continued to sit in silence until James came running into the room telling them that Remus was awake and that Lily fixed a few of the cuts and most were still healing.
Sirius walked into the living room and sat with Remus, Lily, and James. They started talking about how Remus got so injured but Andy didn't understand most of the things they were talking about, only that it had happened on the mission.
Andy walked into the kitchen to get a glass of water and saw Peter by the sink washing all the blood off his hands.
"Petey, can you get this glass for me?" Andy asked, turning to Peter who was drying his hands off with a towel.
"Sure darling," Peter handed it to her. His sleeves were pulled up and Andy caught a glimpse of something black on his left forearm.
"Hey, Petey. What's that?" Andy asked, pointing at his left arm. He quickly pulled his sleeve down again. His chubby cheeks turned dark red and stammered to find his words.
"It's nothing. I-I g-got a tattoo, but ya can't tell the others, they wouldn't understand."
Andy's eyebrows furrowed but decided to believe him and just said, "okay."
"You promise you won't tell the others?" Peter asked again.
"Yeah, sure. I promise, it's a secret between us!" Andy said, happy that she finally had a special secret with Peter. He sighed and helped her with the glass of water.
