Stiles sighed sadly he felt so many emotions swirling inside him he didn't hear what Deucalion had said until he snapped back into reality trying to get a hold of himself
"Ethan and Aiden has told me that your so called "pack" have been ignoring the smell of blood and pain on you they also told me that you told them almost everyone of them had attacked you at some point,Jackson whitemore only a week before..."Deucalion said with a an edge to his voice stiles didn't like to much
"He says that he's struggling to control his wolf and that I annoy him,he just uses it as an excuse to hurt me"stiles admitted quietly
"Are you actually part of there pack?" Deucalion asked the question stiles was to tired,to hurt to hungry and to fed up with of everything that has happened to him he was to tired to lie about it so he answers truthfully
"No,I'm not,I'm a pack adjacent at best. They call me when they need information,research or when they need me to do the hard work and then when I'm down they shove me aside like I did none of it and ignore me until they need me again..." stiles head dropped to the pillows and he closed his eyes "like a couple of weeks ago they needed me to play bait for them"
The growl that emitted from Deucalion startled him so bad he hit his head on the headboard of the bed clutching to the bed sheet as Deucalion shifted into his beta form informs of him for the first time,and it was like no beta shift he had ever seen before
At the same time stiles was trying to become one with the headboard clutching the sheet so tight his knuckles went white,the door slammed open and Ennis and who stiles thought was Aiden spilled into the room shifting in response to Deucalion's growling,looking around for the enemy
"They used you as BAIT!?" Deucalion spat out,impatiently snatching his glasses from his face to throw them aside,his scars around his eyes were painful looking as if they were fresh and very sore,the red spilling into his eyes and down into the scars as though the alpha was leaking from them into the damaged area
He was also looking right at stiles as if he could see him and then calmed down at the sight of stiles fear,he held his hand up slowly grabbing stiles ankle taking his pain once again
"Bait,did you just say Bait!" Ennis snarled reminding stiles that Ennis and Aiden were still there
"They said it was the only way to stop the harpy killing anyone else." Stiles muttered quietly fear ebbing away slowly
"Harpy,a Fucking Harpy!" Ennis scrubbed his hand over his head his fangs glinting In the light of the room
"What the fuck are they playing at!" Aiden growled
"Perhaps you should bring stiles some food and water" Deucalion said softly finally a bit calm.the other two wolfs grumbling as they left. "You made it seem like you were still pack" Deucalion said with a frown
"Your here to do who know what do you think I'm stupid,I know that being a pack adjacent would mark me as an easy hit!!!" Stiles said frowning
"Yes it does,it's a good thing we are not here to take out the local pack if not you would've been dead ages ago
"Then why are you here?" Stiles asked cautiously
"I promise to tell you that if you answer one more question for me."Deucalion said as stiles scowled
"Depends what your question is." Stiles muttered but stiles knew as long as it was a question that endanger anyone he would most likely answer it,plus he did want to know why the alpha pack was here...
"The wounds and scars that Ennis found were not from a harpy,hod did you get them?" Deucalion asked,stiles froze under his grip,going as still as a statue,heart thundering in his chest "stiles?" Deucalion moved further up the bed using his other hand to cup stiles face his eye glowing red carefully
"I...I...I... haven't told anyone".I told my dad it was rival lacrosse players no...no one else asked...and I haven't...I didn't...I don't..." stiles said hyperventilating
"Shhh, you do not need to say anything if you do not want to," Deucalion frowned deeper at stiles's panic,and we'll he was the first person to show any concern towards stiles in a long time
"I think I want to tell you" stiles said a bit more calmly licking his lips
"But you are unsure you can trust me," Deucalion nodded " perhaps we do this a different way then?"
"What?" Stiles asked curiously
"We are here to asses the hale pack or the hale/mcall pack as it seems to be called.we were asked to come here because we do not have a territory. concern has been raised as to what is happening in this area, with the shifting war that seems to have been happening between hunters and werewolf's. The fact that derek hale was never meant to be alpha and isn't really alpha material,that Peter hale I had somehow naught himself back from the dead,that Scott mcall is a Newley bitten beta running around like he's an alpha,that the pack is made up of a bunch of teenagers who are under the lead of a newly bitten beta,one who managed to create a kanima which has not been seen in generations they are supposedly extinct creatures, and now there are argents living here and mixing with this so called pack.the supernatural community became concerned and the council called us to check up on it
"There's a council?" Stiles said while still processing new information
"Yes there is," Deucalion said amused
"They chose untethers packs to go into the territory to asses the worries,such as this, and if they seem unfit to be a pack or unfit for the territory or is a danger to surrounding packs the council will step in and take the land form them and give it to us " Deucalion smiling slightly
"What is stopping you from just saying the pack is bad?" Stiles asked frowning slightly
"We have assessed 3 packs so far, the first pack was horrific but they had blood claims to there land so they got to keep it. The second pack is where we found the twins but that is there story to tell not mine but I will say there alpha and pack were more animal than human and treated the twins terrible so I took them in and mentored them on them with there unique skill..." Deucalion said
"The alpha fusing thing?" Stiles asked curiously
"Yes" Deucalion nodded,seemingly uncaring at being interrupted by stiles,
"We we're offered territory there but it wouldn't have been good for the twins so we passed up on the opportunity. The last pack there territory was not good for us as a pack,there were to many hostile packs around and the twins were to new to the alpha stuff so we passed up on that to and now we are her assessing the hale pack..." Deucalion said with a long breath "now if you want you can tell me what happened to you?"
Stiles took a deep breath and looked at Deucalion and decided to take a risk and tell him "I was taken captive by Allison and Gerald argent,I was the weak link,and everyone was too focused on Jackson to even notice, it was supposed to send a message to Scott to make sure he didn't get in Gerard's way. Gerard he...he beat me,cut me...electrocuted me all while Allison watched. He...he..was going to...to...rap- force me...he had my jeans...he had them down...and my...my underwear...he was going to...but Chris came in and stopped him before he could get any further..." stiles said with tears running down his face
"Stiles..." Deucalion squeezed his hand gently before stiles continued
"You want to know what the worst part is,none of them realised I was missing,none of them even when I showed up to the warehouse with Lydia to save Jackson, none of them took notice to the smell of blood and pain on me,none of them cared to ask why I was dripping blood," stiles laughed bitterly " that. Is when I realised I wasn't pack anymore."
"I am sorry stiles,they don't deserve you." Deucalion muttered with a light growl
"Deserve what, and adhd,annoying human? that talks to much and is clumsy and manages to find trouble wherever he goes? That can't fight or help or..." Stiles gasped as Deucalion gripped his face with his hands,his beta shift back,a low growl rumbling in his chest as he used his werewolf speed to hold the human into his chest before stiles even know what was going on.
But his hands were gentle,his grasp firm not hurting
"One bite,is all it takes to make you a werewolf with strength and speed you can use to help people. A brain like yours stiles is not something that should go to waste,it is not something easily found,the way you see things,the way you see the world is unique and that is a skill that any pack should be glad to have as an asset. In normal packs the researchers,the brains of the pack hold a special place.Ennis is a good researcher, tactician and holds a good knowledge base and he is my biggest most muscular beta,but he is one of the last ones I would send to fight because his brain is worth far more to his pack than his muscle and even he admits that your brain takes bound and leaps he could not." Deucalion said while still holding stiles close
"So what you would take me?" Stiles snorted disbelieving even though his heart fluttered a little
"In more than one way sweetheart" Deucalion smirked
"Oh...OH!?" Stiles squeaked as Deucalion chuckled feeling stiles heat up below him
"We like it here,the twins like the school or Ethan likes Danny said rolling his eyes dryly "and the pack...even before what you told me here tonight there is no way that the so called local pack has any possession to this land anymore,there is no direct claims to this land except derek and Peter,the only hales alive and neither has proven to be good alphas.this land is pretty much ours anyway, so stiles would you do the honours of joining are pack? Your brain is something this pack needs and something I would treasure " Deucalion said with a smile
Stiles opened and closed his mouth again stunned into silence as he realised Deucalion was being serious,that he was completely and utterly serious about him joining his pack!
