I was happy he was back. I was glad to see him.
As we were walking back to the academy, and the sun was setting we were silent for a bit.
"Five?" I ask
"Yes y/n?" He replied
"How long were you in the apocalypse for?" I ask
"50 years" he says "I realised I had a locket with us together, I looked at it every day regretting my choice of leaving, I tried every day to come back but I was exhausted" he says looking down
"Don't blame yourself your back now" I say
He smiles "yeah I am" he says
We went back into town we went back to fives favourite place <the diner>
"What would you like" he asks me
I smiled "how about we share a sundae?" I say "of course!" He says
"it also has to be strawberry" I say
He ordered it and we sat down eating it, just like old times when I snuck out and met him here all the time.
I guess this was a happy ending of this story. Which It is.
