=FLASHBACK=
I was asleep when I heard someone going out from the gates because the alarm will scream if someone did. I ran as fast as I can to see who is the person that tries to go out, it was Beth.
So I just let her be because this will be the good for her. I really don't mind if it's Beth disobeying some rules because I know she'll do something good.
I have known her for some good time and I have never ever seen her do something bad, I know. I walked back up to my room, but before I did I checked Beth's room if anyone caught her in action escaping. I crawled back on my bed and wished that Beth's here by my side tonight.
I wrapped myself with my blanket and looked around the room, it was dark and silent. I looked at my other pants. I patrolled around my closet and saw the pants that I will wear tomorrow, very fit pants that make my big muscled legs look thin.
I went back to my bed again and closed my eyes as the silent night disappears in my mind.
When I opened my eyes, I stood up right away. When I took my first step towards the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth, I slipped into a thick red liquid, it was blood! I saw a lifeless arm, I followed it, it was Beth!
"No, no, no, please, please, who did this to you? Stay with me!" I whispered to her while my lips rest on her forehead. Her blonde hair turned red because the blood scattered on the floor, which also scattered on her head because she was lying on the floor.
I saw a knife stabbed at the right part of her body. I cried and shouted, but I felt like no one could hear me. My legs are across her legs. When I looked at her face it was pale, when I looked at it again I noticed her sparkling gray eyes wide open, there I know that I could not retrieve her life, but I still didn't lose hope.
I cried wishing I was awake when this happened, I don't even know how she entered my room or how this happen or... I just lost the girl I'm dreaming to be with my whole life!
Her left leg is bent to her left while her right leg is slightly bent to her left as well. He lifeless arms hanging because I was carrying her body, and her head was hanging as well. I leaned my head on the center of her chest crying and crying and crying, since this is the only thing I can do now even if I know this would do no good. I just wished that I was the one lying dead here, not her. I can't believe that this day would come. Why do they have to punish her? She's a very good person. What did she ever do?
I heard a beep. It was an alarm. I stood up right away and opened my eyes, thank God it was all a dream! Beth's not dead! Woah! I was even thinking of killing myself because I lost her, but no! I took a deep breath, I ran towards my closet and reached to the drawer and took my medicines for my asthma. I took a deep breath again and drank some water. I took a bath and wore my clothes, I ran downstairs and stood beside Dane.
=PRESENT TIME=
I was the first on line to be injected by the DNA test for the betrayal hunt of Michelle. I flinched but it didn't really hurt. I went to Dane and stood to see if everyone is on the line. I walked towards my room and I saw Beth and her friends. I looked at the people that Beth brought inside my room before I tell them the plan. They all look like trust-worthy.
"Ok, we will find out a mystery...together." I said while looking at their faces.
"Sir, yes sir!" They answered in chorus.
"I want you all awake until midnight, so I'll let you sleep during the day. Be attentive, stay focused." I added.
I told them to leave so they could already sleep, so they'll do their drills When they wake up in the afternoon. I walked to our headquarters and found Dane there so I talked to him,
"I will select some students to do the drills now because I'll let them sleep for the whole day." I explained.
"Go," he agreed to my favor.
"Thanks." I said.
I walked to the different public rooms, since there are fifty of them there are three public rooms but the third one is not full because some from that room is already out and clan less. I called out the names from the first public room, then the second and third room and gave them different drills. The first one is the flag relay. The next one is the rope climbing. There are a few practices before the final drill, the weapon skill test again but in a higher level and more weapons to test.
Everyone did good,
"Ok, everyone is in...no one in out! Congratulations." I gladly announce.
"Sleep now." I added.
I went to my room and closed my eyes. When I woke up, it was eleven forty-three p.m. I washed my face and brushed my teeth, I fixed my hair and wore new clothes. I woke up the others and we sneaked in through the passage where Beth entered to discover the Madelyn. We all entered in the girls restroom and climbed on the passage. We made outside the resting headquarters. We jogged quietly to the guns and ammo area and took some weapon. Tina got a big gun, I have a lot of daggers. Miles have big guns as well, Beth got the bow and arrows. Bella got two swords while Top have daggers as well.
We killed all guards that go in our way.
Beth led the way outside the whole city of clans. And explored freely as if there are no boundaries at all! We watched the sunrise during dawn and after we experienced the feeling past our boundaries, we ran towards the great wall of our clan city and went back to our compound. I also told them to sleep just a little for the activities and drills tomorrow. When the sun is completely up, they all went to sleep...including me.
The alarm rang, and I took a bath and ate together with the students. I sat beside Beth, in front of me are Miles, Bella, Tina and Top.
"So what now?" Bella asked me as she grab her cup to drink her coffee.
"I will try to find a way again so that we could go beyond our limits." I whispered after I drank a cup of water.
"Hey, can we eat with you?" Zero asked, the mastermind of the group,that attacked Beth.
"Hey Beth ummm, sorry. We're the group that attacked you." He added.
"You're a coward." Beth said as she stand up and face the group of men standing beside me with their food trays.
"Sorry, I really didn't mean it. It's just that I kinda like you. It's just that you're with Chris, but now I understand I can't stand a chance for you." He explained to Beth as I roll my eyes on them, no one must own Beth, only I can own her.
"Awww, thanks." She replied.
"You're not mad?" He said while slightly smiling.
"No, I forgive people easily, you won't even notice. Come join us!" She said as she smile at the men.
"Thanks!" He answered as if he knew Beth for a very long time and also as if he didn't nearly killed Beth.
We all ate and lined up to rest, as always and after that is the start of the drills. But Beth and her friends will rest longer because they already did the drills yesterday. After the drill is the new drill, which Beth and her fellows are already included. I stand still while I watch the others students pass and some fail. I rushed to Beth's room and her friends room as well to tell them to get ready.
Finally it's the next drill. They all have to take a test, that's the drill. It's the strength and fear simulator wherein they'd be injecting the students a medicine that will make them sleep and there there the test will begin. I also warned Beth that Madelyn would be watching, also another bonus track to find which one of you is Michelle or if she's here because they know how she moves. She makes moves that are so out of limits, a perfect model of a disobeying person.
I wasn't part of the test because I'm their instructor. I was thinking about a new plan for us to escape, but there is only one thing that is possible to happen; if I bring Beth's friends it would be a risk for us so I was just thinking to bring Beth and Miles with me. So I thought of jumping to the high ladder by the emergency escape.

Dane stood in front of the loyal Fighters and the students.
"I'm happy to announce that Michelle wasn't found here, so we won't lose our instructor!" He said as I smile to the people below us.
"Yeah!" They screamed and yelled.
I saw Beth going up to meet me, when we did we went to my room and closed the door. She held my left cheek and said,
"I'm really happy that she wasn't found here." She said.
"Me too. We will bring Miles with us later to the emergency escape, only him." I replied. I told her the very short plan for later, about the escape.
"Ok," she answered.
I held her right cheek and rubbed my thumb on her soft skin as I draw myself nearer to her. Our nose and forehead touched as my lips open and hers as well. We kissed softly. We stopped our kiss because I lift her up, my left arm holding her butt so she won't fall while my right arm holds her lower back to ensure her safety. Her warm hands are rubbing my cold cheeks, he legs crossed at my back when they met. I let go of her as I land her on the bed.
My arms stand at her side, same level as her ribs, my legs across hers and I pushed my face downward so we could continue our kiss. I wiped my hands under her shirt, but when I felt the bones of her ribs, she held my hand to stop from doing it, so I did. We stopped kissing when the alarm shouted because its time to go back to our regular routine, workout then it's time for them to eat their dinner then it's bed time.
I'm still hoping that Zero and his group isn't tricking us or betraying us, because if he do... He's dead before he even know it. I commanded everyone to eat after their workout, then they can sleep.
After every one ate, I told Beth to tell Miles that he is part of our escape plan. When everyone was fast asleep, I visited Beth's room because Miles also sleep there. We rushed quietly towards the pod then the emergency escape. I went first, I jumped to the trampoline and gave myself a big pull towards the high ladder. Everyone did what I did and so we climbed up to the edge and went out of the great walls again and there we feel free again.
We went to the Giving Hands village. We sneaked in and I saw Madelyn together with Marilyn, her twin sister.
"Well, found her yet?" Marilyn asked while staring at the DNA of Michelle, because as far as I know, Michelle left some of her blood when she got shot during her escape.
"Not yet, but I'll keep a watch on every single clan specially the Fighters, I have gut that maybe not all of them attendant the DNA test. I'm sure Michelle is one of them." She explained with a cold look.
"Do it." Her sister said with a desperate expression.
"Sure I would sister, anything for you." She said calmly.
I got so nervous because they're watching us carefully, one wrong move might kill me. I have warn Dane and the others. When we we're about to leave, a group of guards came to our way holding very big guns. We forgot to bring our weapons. Good thing it's a dark place because they can't say that it's the Fighters that came spying around because it's dark.
"Quick, climb!" Miles told Beth a s he look back to me.
"Go! Go! Go! I'll stop them for a second!" I yelled while Beth make her way to escape through the ladder to reach the higher floor, same as Miles but the only difference is that he's looking back.
"You sure?" He asked.
"Yeah, now go!" I screamed.
"Thanks!" He replied.
When they reached the higher ground, I climbed as fast as I could, from there we used the pulling elevator, wherein we will pull the rope to lift us up. When we reached the top of the laboratory building, we jumped and escaped the guards. I hope they didn't realized that we're members of the Fighters.
We ran as fast as we could to go back to our compound. We didn't climbed up to the crane to jump, we only did that to challenge the students on their fist day. So we jump to the edge and went back to our own rooms so we could stay out of sight.
When I woke up the next morning, it didn't felt like the other morning I had, it felt like I'm free from my limits, or maybe it's just that I already had a little experience outside this clan city. I took a bath and wore my clothes. I went to Dane's room and knocked. The door opened, I thought I will be seeing a fierce looking guy, but instead I saw a girl with a soft features,
"Excuse me, ummm... I didn't mean to-" I said.
"Dane? Oh sure. Dane someone wants to talk with you!" She butted in as she turn her head to look inside the room to inform Dane.
"Who is it?" He screamed.
"What's your name darling?" She asked me softly with a smile.
"Chris" I answered.
"It's Chris!" She screamed.
"Tell him to come in." He commanded.
"Come," she said while opening the door wide and letting me in before she close the door.
"What's up?" He greeted.
"What are the drills today?" I asked him as I sit in the space left on his bed.
"Oh, it's their free day." He replied.
"So they could do whatever that want?" I asked him while raising both of my eyebrows.
"Yeah." He replied with a cold look.
"Who is she?" I curiously asked him as I looked at the lady who opened the door to me.
"Lea, my girlfriend." He explained.
"Ok, thanks." I said.
"Ok. You can leave now," he replied as he stand up to eat his breakfast with Lea.
I walked to each room announcing that this is their free day. They all rejoiced and feasted. When I went to Beth's room, after I told them the exciting news, Beth ran towards me and hugged me. She grabbed my nape. I grabbed her and carried her since she jumped to hug me. She said her thanks to me, but I explained to her that it was Dane's decision. When I let her go she asked me,
"Can I visit my family?" Beth asked me with her wide gray eyes.
"Yeah, I'll come with you." I said while giving her a bracelet and attached it to her wrist.
"Me too!" Miles screamed while wearing his black and gray sweater.
"Oh, this is beautiful Chris! Thanks!" She said while staring at the bracelet the looked at the back because of Miles and smiled.
"I know you would say that because you easily appreciate people." I told her as Miles approaches us and stands beside me.
"I'll introduce you to my family, you two." She said while pointing me and Miles.
"Let's go now." I told her as I grab her arm and walk towards outside.
"Wait, I'll just wear my jacket!" He said while running inside the room again and took his jacket.
"Come on Miles!" I said as he run towards us and wear his jacket.
We walked towards the Healers's clan and told the guards that Beth will just visit some people there, so they let us go in. We past by pale colored houses and building. When we reached to our destination, Beth knocked on the door a few time before an old man opened the wooden door. The man wasn't that old-looking guy. He let us all in. There we saw a woman who have a few gray hair strands.
"Oh honey, look at you, so beautiful and tough." The woman said while hugging her and kissing her forehead.
"Mom," Beth said while smiling.
"Oh we miss you." The woman said.
"Who are they?" The man asked Beth as she turn her head to face us.
"This is Miles, my closest friend, my best friend. And this is Chris, my boyfriend." She said as she point at us one by one.
"Miles, Chris this is mom and dad." She added.
"Oh, hello madam and sir." I said while shaking her hands same as her dad.
"I respect your daughter a lot." I added as I let go of Beth's dad's hand.
"Me too." Miles butted in.
"She's a good lady." I reported.
"Take care of her for me because I'm not there for her, specially this time that she's in another clan." Her mother said while staring at me softly.
"Of course!" I said and smiled.
And everyone in the house laughed and we all have joyful expressions on our faces. The joy in their faces lasted until the end of the day. When it's almost six p.m., I already told Miles that we should go but he said that we must give Beth thirty more minutes. Then when it's already thirty minutes since Miles told me to give Beth more time, I approached the family,
"Ma'am, sir sorry to interrupt this moment, but your daughter must go now before dark because Dane might get mad." I said as I look at the old couple that looks contented to see their daughter once again.
"Thank you for guiding my daughter here," his father told me.
"Our pleasure sir." Miles said as I turn to him to look mad at him because I was the one to tell them that.
" I was the one to say that!" I said as the top center part of my nose wrinkles because my eyebrow folds.
"Sorry." He said without looking at me only at the floor, embarrassed.
"Mmhhh." Beth giggled.
"It's fine." Beth's father told us as I looked back to the couple again.
"Goodbye darling." Her mother told her and kissed her on Beth's forehead and hugged her goodbye.
"You are not safe there, you're in great danger."
