The next morning seemed to arrive quick for Ishqi and Ahaan, they both couldn't sleep properly the entire night. Their heads were clouded with too many thoughts...mainly about each other.
Tonight was the reception of Sonu and Raj, their wedding festivities had come to an end~ Today was an ordinary morning for both Ishqi and Ahaan except they had a heavy heart and no explanation for it. They both got ready for the day, had breakfast with their respective families and left for the Malhotra Constructions office for their meeting.

Ishqi entered the building and was walking up the stairs when suddenly the heel of her shoe broke, "arrey yaar!" Ishqi said out loud. "Jo horaha hai woh kam hai ke aab yeh bhi!" she muttered annoyingly.
Ishqi took the shoe off of her foot and held it in her hand by the strap, she took a deep breath, "relax Ishqi" she told herself, "Abhi tak toh AVM se bhi koi baat nahi ki..abhi se mood kharab kar legi toh aaj ka din toh guzarne se raha!"
Ishqi made her way up the stairs and to the 3rd floor, she was walking towards Ahaan's cabin when her phone started to ring, she pulled it out of her pocket, it was Rahul... she answered the call and started walking through the long hallway and towards Ahaan's cabin.
"Hello" she said into the phone-
R: Hey Ishqi! How are you?
I: I'm good, tum kaise ho?
R: Mein theek houn, woh actually humein kal baat karne ka mouka hi nahi mila so I was wondering ke tum abhi free ho toh..
I: Woh actually Rahul mein abhi meeting ke liye AVM ke office ayi houn so I can't right now... she honestly didn't want to either, having a business meeting with Ahaan felt more interesting than a brunch date with Rahul.
R: AVM?
I: Oh um...I mean Ah-Owwww- she cried out in pain- Ishqi looked down to see that she'd stepped right on top of broken glass whose sharp pieces lay scattered across the floor in front of Ahaan's cabin.
"Kya hua?!! Ishqii?" Rahul kept saying on the phone but Ishqi wasn't in the condition to respond to him right now. "Ssss ouchhh" Ishqi said and she stumbled backwards but an employee lent her support.
Ahaan came out of his cabin hearing all the commotion, "WHAT IS THE NOISE AB-ISHQI!" he ran towards her and held her by the waist while the employee let go of her hand. "Kya hua??" he looked down to see her foot bleeding while broken shards of glass, some covered in blood rested on the ground.
He picked her up in his arms, "WHAT IS THIS CARELESSNESS?! I need this cleaned up asap!" he scolded his staff while he directed his secretary to fetch a first aid kit and carried Ishqi inside his cabin.
He made her sit on the table while he took the first aid box from his PA and asked her to excuse them for a few minutes. When Ishqi and Ahaan were alone in the cabin he pulled a chair near her and put her foot in his lap, "Ishqi! tum itni careless kaise ho sakti ho! aise shoes uttar ke kyun arahi thi! thank god zyada deep cut nahi lagah! Agar kuch zyada hojata toh! Tum na-" he said while carefully cleaning the blood around her wound with antiseptic.
Ishqi cut him off, "ek toh mujhe chot laagi hai upar se aap mujhe daant rahe ho!" she pouted- "Ahh sss" escaped her lips as Ishqi clutched his arm while she tightly squeezed her eyes shut, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry buss hogaya" he said- "AVMMMM bohot chub raha haiii...aur antiseptic nahi...it stings too muchh"- "Ishqi!" Ahaan said- "AVM daant kyun rahe hai" she whined-
Ahaan looked at the girl who was cutely complaining to him, "Daant nahi raha Ishqi, but tumhari harkaatein bhi toh aisi hai!" he said while wrapping her foot in a bandage-
Ishqi: Aap har cheez ka ilzam mere upar kyun lagah dete hai...meine thodi na aapne joote ko tootne ko kaha tha! she sobbed-
Ahaan: Accha I'm sorry, zyada dard horaha kya? he asked her softly-
"aab theek hai" she said while wiping her tears, "thanks"- "it's okay" he stood up and turned around to put the first aid kit on the shelf while Ishqi picked her phone from the desk, "oh shoot!" she mumbled when she realized that Rahul was on call with her the entire time.
She put the phone to her ear, "I'm sorry woh actually-" He cut her off, "Tumhe chot lag gayi thi..I know, sunna meine- Are you okay now?" Ahaan turned around and looked at her, "sorry kisse bol rahi hai yeh?" he thought-
Ishqi (on call): Hmm, woh AV-I mean Ahaan ne bandage kardi hai..
Rahul: Hmm ok-
Ishqi looked up and saw Ahaan's fixated gaze upon her, "Umm Rahul mein tumse baad mein baat karti houn okay?"
Rahul: Okay, apna khayal rakhna, bye Ishqi..
"Rahul" Ahaan thought jealously- He walked over to Ishqi who was looking at him as well, they both went back to last night, specifically when they were announced to be someone else's and neither opposed the decision.
Ishqi diverted her gaze from his eyes and tried to stand up, as soon as her right foot hit the ground she winced in pain, Ahaan immediately darted towards her and held her in his arms, putting all her weight on himself.
"Yeh kya kar rahi ho Ishqi!" Ahaan said to her as he made her sit back on the desk again-
She didn't reply, he softly held her chin with one hand and lifted her face up so she could look him in the eyes. Ahaan saw tears in her eyes, threatening to flow out any second. "Ishqi" he said, "doctor ke paas chale? bohot dard horaha hai kya?" he asked in a concerned tone-
Ishqi lowered her gaze and started sobbing, "Ish-" but before he could complete his sentence she encircled her arms around his nape and put her head on his shoulder and started crying her heart out.
Ahaan was taken a little a back, he knew it wasn't just because of her injury that she was crying this much. He'd always seen Ishqi happy and cheerful never this sad side of her. Something inside him broke seeing her cry, his arms automatically wrapped around her waist.
A few moments later reality hit Ishqi and she moved out of his embrace, immediately regretting her actions, "I'm sorry" she said quietly-
Ahaan cupped her face in his hands, "kya baat hai Ishqi?"
Ishqi: kuch nahi, she lied and Ahaan knew it- "Ishqi!" he said-
Ishqi: Woh a-actually m- She stopped mid sentence when there was a knock on the door, "come in" Ahaan yelled and Rhea plus Rahul walked into the cabin.
Rahul immediately rushed to Ishqi's side, "are you okay Ishqi?!!!" he asked her while Rhea went up-to Ahaan and gave him a hug leaving him visibly uncomfortable. "I'm fine" Ishqi replied to Rahul-
Ishqi: Tum yahan kya kar rahe ho Rahul?
Rahul: Actually jab meine sunna ke tumein chot laagi hai toh mere se raha nahi gaya and mein tumhe lene agaya-
Ishqi smiled while Ahaan was clearly jealous, "aur Rhea tum? what are you doing here?" Ahaan asked her- "kyun? mein apne to-be fiancee se milne bhi nahi aa sakti?" she replied while Ishqi looked away.
Ishqi and Ahaan were still holding hands, Ahaan jerked away from Rhea while he moved closer to Ishqi and said, "Rahul, tumein aane ki zaroorat nahi thi, mein Ishqi ko usske ghar drop kardeta...balke tum dono jao mein aur Ishqi thodi der mein meeting kar ke aajaige" he said, Ahaan wanted Rhea and Rahul to leave from there, not the meeting but he wanted to continue with the conversation he was having with Ishqi before those two came in.
Rahul: Nahi yaar, it's ok- aur waise bhi Ishqi ko chot laagi hai and meeting se zyada usse rest ki zaroorat hai...
Ahaan: Hmm, agar aisi baat hai toh, he picked Ishqi up in his arms before Rahul could while Ishqi's eye's widened, "yeh kya kar rahe hai aap" Ishqi whispered in his ear.
Rhea: Ahaan?! What in the world are you doing?!
Ahaan: Ishqi ke pair mein toh chot laagi hai na, woh chale gi kaise? Issiliye usse ghadi tak chodne jaa raha houn- he stated quite plainly while a slight smile crept up on Ishqi's lips. "itne daring kyun bann rahe hai yeh?!"
Rahul: But I-
Ahaan cut him off, "Aab chalo" he said and before anyone else could protest he walked out of there with Ishqi in his arms leaving behind a jealous Rahul and envious Rhea.
