The kids wanted to see their grandma today so naturally I didn't have a problem taking them over there to see her. It had been a while since they seen her anyway and I didn't want what happened between Ty and I come between them nor her spending time with each other.
I watched the kids run around the backyard chasing after her puppy. I don't do animals. As long as that puppy stayed away from me we'll be cool. If not I'mma kick it.
She hadn't really said much since we got here, but she talked to the kids a little.
"Something wrong with you?" I asked. She been giving me attitude since we got here and I don't know what her problem is.
"Actually there is." She sneers. I raise my eyebrow.
"Well, do enlighten me on what may exactly be the problem." I said.
"You say the kids are my son's, but they're probably not his. You just some hoe that tricked us into believing you. So yes I have a problem with you showing up here with them and them calling me grandma. I'll be damn if I'd allowed my son to be trapped into taking care of kids that are not his." She said. I looked at her like she was crazy.
"Well, if he feel like they not his then he can step. Walk away, do him, fuck off. Don't worry about Kei, Kam, or Ky because I got them. Those three kids are mine. You talking about me being a hoe? "K3, let's go, now." I said. Shit if my kids aren't welcome then neither am I.
"But mommy I want to stay." Kam said.
"Kameron I said let's go and that's what I mean." I said. He pouted and looked like he was about to cry.
"Cry if you want to, but know I'll give you something to really cry about." I said in a warning tone. He straightened up quick. My kids and I left. I don't have time for no petty shit.

After leaving Ty's momma house I took the kids to the park and out for ice cream then we came back and I put them to sleep. Now when I'm trying to get a little nap in my phone won't stop ringing. I really was trying to get a nap in before the kids woke up.
"Yeah?" I answered the phone not caring who it was.
"What the fuck you said to my momma?!" I know that voice. It was Ty and he was mad. Go figure. His mad ass.
"Nigga what?" I asked. I don't have time for Ty silly rabbit ass.
"My momma told me what you said to her today. I don't appreciate you bringing my momma into our business and then have the nerve to come at her like she some bitch out in the streets." He said. I looked at my phone. Is this nigga talking to me? She must have called him and told him some lie, but what can Ty do to me? Not a damn thing! I promise myself the last time Ty went awol that I would shoot his ass dead.
"Tyrese I'mma tell you like I told your momma earlier today. If you feel like they not yours then step. Walk away, do you, fuck off. Don't worry about Kei, Kam, or Ky because I got them. I fucked for them. I do shit for them. Not you or the next bitch. So don't come at me like I'm some hoe or one of your friends from across the street. When you talk to me talk to me like you know your fucking place before I knock you in it." I snapped.
"Think about it though they probably not my kids anyway. You probably been fucking that nigga you with now for the longest." He said laughing. I laughed too. Like how dumb can he be?
"You absolutely right! They're not yours, they're mine, bitch." With that I hung up the phone.
I never begged or asked Ty to take care of my kids 'cause I do that regardless. He want to sit and listen to his momma he can. I don't give a fuck. Ty can stay the fuck away from me and my kids. Shit he don't have to be their daddy no more because I'm their daddy. Anything my kids need I go and get for them. My kids always come first and can't no one ever say I put a man before them because if anything they come before any man.
I laid back in bed and yawned. That shit that just happened with Ty was and is irrelevant as fuck. I closed my eyes and let sleep take over.

When I woke up from my nap the kids were still sleep. That I was thankful for because I needed to cook without any distractions around me. When I walked into the kitchen I checked to see if the hamburger meat had thawed out. I was making Shepherd's Pie for dinner.
It really didn't take long to cook, but I took my time because I needed this little one-on-one time with myself. Damien needs to hurry back from his trip. I miss him. Speak of the devil. I knew his ringtone anywhere.
"Hello." I smiled hearing his voice.
"Hey baby."
"Hey Damien." I said with a sigh.
"Uh uh. What's wrong with you?" He asked.
"I'm just tired." I lied.
"Melanie I know when you lying to me. Before I became your man I was your best friend. So don't play that 'I'm just tired' card with me." He said. I smile knowing that Damien knows me so well.
"I'm just tired Damien. I'm tired of having to pick everyone up when they down or having everyone turn their backs on me. All I ever did was be there for them and this how the repay me? By giving me their ass to kiss! Why they shit on me for people they haven't even known that long? Is it something wrong with me? Why I always get the riot act or the cold shoulder? Why me?" I vented to him. I knew he was listening as my best friend and not my boyfriend.
"Mel listen to me. You're the most amazing person I know. So what if they turned their backs on you. So what if they giving you the cold shoulder. So what if they chose them over you. You got your family, me, your kids, and yourself. If they walked out of your life that easy then they weren't your real friends to begin with. Stop stressing over a nigga that don't mean you no good. I know you still in love him, but you have other things to worry about. Let them figure out what it is they lost. You're a strong wrong Mel and that's why I love you." He said. I sniffle a little listening to his words.
"Thank you." I said.
"It's my job to make you happy." He said.
"When are you coming home?" I asked as I poured the mashed potatoes on top of the meat and vegetables.
"Thursday night." He said.
"I miss you." I said.
"I know." I smacked my lips.
"Cocky much."
"Nah, but I got enough cock for you." He said. I bust out laughing. Cock is such a funny word to me.
"You so stupid." I said. He chuckled and then sighed.
"I hate to go, but I got work to do." He said.
"Do what you have to do and come home to me." I said
"I will."
"Okay."
"I love you." He said like he always did.

I placed my phone on the counter and went to wake my kids up. I felt better knowing I had Damien on my side.
