Time stopped for Jungkook. He just stared and stared at Tae who was laughing his heart out.
Tae kept his one hand on his mouth to avoid the loud laughter but he failed. Other hand was on his stomach, clutching to shirt tightly and he was a little bent with eyes closed.
"I am not dreaming right?" Jungkook pinched himself.
"He is laughing? He is laughing!! Oh my god!!"
Jungkook smiled widely and slowly sat down on the floor, tilted his head a little to capture the most beautiful smile in his eyes, mind, heart. He didn't want to take his eyes off Tae. Why will he? When he had the most beautiful sight in front of him.
It was Jungkook's first time to see Taehyung laughing and he never in his life, he thought that seeing someone smiling and laughing will make his heart go crazy like this. He wanted to dance, shout, capture this moment in camera but his eyes refused to leave the sight of Tae even for a second. There were so many things going on in his mind but he ended up doing one thing. He kept his hand on his heart and prayed while staring at Tae with the sweetest smile.
"Please god! Don't let this smile fade away. Please keep him happy and smiling like that...always."
Tae slowly opened his eyes when he composed himself.
He was still smiling from the incident that happened sometimes ago. He shook his head a little before looking at Jungkook who was already staring at him. This time Jungkook didn't move his eyes away and Tae's smile slowly faded on feeling the gaze. He blinked a few times and looked in other directions to avoid that gaze but then he again looked up to see if Jungkook was still staring or not and he was staring.
Tae gulped as he felt butterflies in his stomach. He felt nervous. As soon as Jungkook started approaching him, he started taking steps backwards. Jungkook came to him and smiled and that smile passed a relief to Tae who stopped on his track. Tae's all nervousness was gone when Jungkook called him in the softest voice ever.
"Tae" Tae was hypnotized to answer.
"Tae..." still Tae didn't say anything. He just nodded a little indicating Jungkook to go on. No wonder Jungkook called him by his nickname, it always did things to Tae. He looked down and Jungkook spoke.
"You look so beautiful when you smile."
Tae immidiately looked up in those doe eyes with his big puppy eyes as if he was asking 'are you sure?' and like Jungkook understood his look, he immediately nodded his head and smiled.
"Yeah....trust me."
"I want to"
Tae said that in his mind but his heart was telling him to speak that loud. It was asking Tae to tell Jungkook that 'yeah...I want to, I want to trust you or maybe already started trusting you. Maybe a little bit but I do.' In a conflict between his mind and heart, Tae decided to stay silent.
"Stay like this...smiling, laughing, happy."
Jungkook said and moved his hand toward's Tae's face. He kept his index finger and thumb on the extreme end of Tae's lips and pushed them slightly upwards converting them into a small smile.
"You know how precious this smile is?"
Tae shook his head and Jungkook chuckled.
"How will you know? Look from my eyes and you'll know how breathtaking and precious it is."
It was harder for Tae to keep looking into those doe eyes so he looked down and Jungkook took his hand away. He took a few steps backward, smiling and Tae immediately ran to the door.
"Remember...we are going out in the evening pretty doctor!"
Tae nodded before running back to his room amd Jungkook smiled widely while ruffling his own hair. He fell on his bed and closed his eyes.
"Aish that smile! Perfect! I wish to make you smile like that....forever."
Tae came back to his room and locked it behing him. He leaned back on the door and closed his eyes.
"What was that? I laughed? Seriously? I smiled.....I...I laughed! I was happy....I am happy!" He kept mumbling things. He genuinly smiled after 2 years and obviously he was happy.
Was he moving on? Moving on from his past? Was it happening finally?
He stood in front of the mirror. There was a new charm on his face. He kept his hands on his lips and curved them into a smile.
"Is it precious? He said it is...."

"We are here" Jungkook said and stopped in the middle of the bridge.
"We reached?" Tae asked while looking around.
"I guess I said the same."
He turned to Tae and Tae rolled his eyes.
"Okay okay...now look around."
Tae frowned and looked around but widened his eyes when he saw a lake nearby.
"I never knew about this place."
"This is a special place."
"How?"
"People say its haunted."
"WHAT!!"
"Chill...I was just joking."
"Yeah whatever....but this place looks kinda deserted."
"Are you perhaps afraid?"
"No...not at all."
"Hmm....it looks like deserted from here because not much people visit here."
"Ohhh"
"But don't worry, it looks beautiful from close but...."
"But what?"
"But its not allowed to go near lake. You are only allowed to see from here."
"But why?" Tae asked while raising his eyebrows and Jungkooo shrugged his shoulders.
"Who knows?"
"So....what will we do here?"
"We are going near lake."
"But its not allowed."
"Its okay....rules are made to be broken tho."
Jungkook said and forwarded his hand for Tae to grab but Tae slapped it away.
"Are you serious? The cops will catch us and our careers will be ruined."
Tae said and looked forward. Jungkook sadly bit his lips and he also looked forward. They stood there in silence for a while but then Tae remembered that Jungkook was carrying a backpack.
"Whats in this bag?"
"Oh...its just coffee for me and hot chocolate for you since you don't like coffee. I...I thought we will drink these near the lake but its okay, we can drink these here too if you want hehe."
Jungkook said with a slight smile and Tae nodded slightly before facing forward. He was feeling bad for saying 'No' to Jungkook. He bit his bottom lip in nervousness while looking forward. Fighting with his thoughts, he finally called Jungkook.
"Jungkook?"
"Yeah"
"How will we go near lake?"
"Oh there's a way towards left....wait! Why are you asking?"
"Ab...I think we should go there."
"What?"
"I said we should go there."
Tae said that again and a wide bunny smile immediately formed on Jungkook's lips which made Tae kinda relaxed.
"You are not joking right?" Tae shook his head.
"Lets go then" He forwarded his hand again for Tae to hold and Tae slowly moved his hand towards Jungkook's, placed it gently over other and Jungkook held it...gently.
"Okay so now we have to just escape from the cop."
"Wait!! There are really cops?"
"Not many but one."
"Why didn't you tell me about police?"
"Its okay we can escape from him."
"Jungkook!!" Taehyung whinned while pulling his hand backwards but Jungkook held it tighter and kept walking forward.
"No you can't back away now."
"Stupid, idiot, muscle pig...why did I even agree."
"Only you know that huh doctor." Jungkook smiled and Tae rolled his eyes.
"Stupid bunny!"

"Jungkook...I am telling you, if the cops take my medical license then I'll kill you."
Jungkook stopped at his track and turned to him.
"Nothing will happen, trust me and look there..." Tae saw in the said direction only to be mesmerised by the view.
He left Jungkook's hand and moved near the lake.
"Wow"
He saw the reflection of full moon in the water and then looked up at the moon in the sky. Jungkook also went to him and stood beside him.
"How's it?"
"Beautiful"
"Yeah....most beautiful" but he didn't look at the lake this time, he was looking at the boy beside him whose slivery locks and flawless face was shining under the full-moon light. Eyes were wide open and Jungkook could see the sparkles in his eyes.
"This is really very beautiful"
"Yeah no doubt" Tae was talking about lake but Jungkook was too focused on Tae.
"The water...."
"Beautiful"
"The trees...."
"Beautiful"
"The mountains..."
"Beautiful"
"Everything is just so beautiful"
"Not more than you" Jungkook almost whispered.
"Huh?"
"Nothing"
"You whispered something"
"You wanna know what I said?" He said and walked closer to Tae and Tae stepped back.
"No need! You must've said something stupid, what else you can do?"
"What an insult huh!"
Tae just rolled his eyes playfully and took out his phone to click some pictures of the lake.
"Yaah one me too...me too doctor!"
"What me too?"
"Take my pictures too"
"No"
"Please pretty doctor"
"Aah why me?"
"Cuz its only you.."
And Tae clicked the picture. He looked at his phone and smiled a little.

"Show me...How's it?"
"Nothing to show. Its not that special. Lets have a seat"
"Meanie"

"A mat for two people?"
"I already prepared it"
"When?"
"When you were so amazed by the lake's beauty" He said while sitting beside Tae.
"Why did you take me here?"
Jungkook just smiled and shrugged his shoulders.
"What?"
"Nothing...I just felt like so I brought you here."
"I am getting suspicious huh"
"Don't worry I won't push you in water."
"Oh! I know swimming!"
"Oh! The water is freezing cold!"
"So?"
"So...you will become an ice-cream as soon as you enter in"
"So why would I...." suddenly Tae heard some noises and he immediately grabbed Jungkook's hand.
"Relax....these are just leaves moving due to wind. Don't be afraid"
"Who is afraid? I am not" he said while tightening his grip on Jungkook's hand.
"Yeah I can see that"
"I need something to distract myself" Tae thought and turned to Jungkook.
"Hot chocolate!"
"Huh?"
"Give me hot chocolate....I wanna drink"
"Oh okay!" He moved his bag from back to front and then looked at Tae.
"What?
"Please hold the bag...I will open the zipper because..." he looked at their hands and Tae followed his gaze. He immediately let go of Jungkook's hand and looked away.
"Do it yourself"
"Its okay huh pretty doctor. You can hold my hand after having hot chocolate" Jungkook wiggled his eyebrows.
"Don't fly that much...come back to eatrth"
Jungkook chuckled and take out a thermos.
"Here...take it"
Tae took it and started drinking.
"So....when did you become doctor?"
"3 years ago"
"Oh! Your age?"
"25"
"Waah same pinch pretty doctor!! We got same age...high-five!" Jungkook excitedly lift his hand up.
"So? So many people are of my age. Should I high-five with all of them?"
"tsk...but now you are with me so high-five with me" he took Tae's hand and high-fived with his own.
Taehyung just shook his head and Jungkook smiled.
"Yaah doctor! You are not even talking...only I am trying to talk."
"Okay....what do you want me to do?"
"Talk to me! Ask me anything...I will tell you everything."
"Why?"
"Because friends should know each other better right?"
"Hmm so tell me your name."
"That was not funny doctor." Tae smiled at this.
"Okay so whats your hobbies?"
"ammmm" Jungkook thought for a while and Tae stared at him for his answer.
"Everything....I like to do everything."
"Wierdo....what do you wanna do in your life?"
"Now thats a good question....I want to spread happiness."
"Elaborate please"
"See doctor...we all know basic nature of humans. We talk behind everyone's back and most of the time we talk bad things about someone behind their back and thats called backbiting."
"So?"
"So....I wanna be that person whom people praise not just on my face but behind my back too. Mostly if we ask someone what they wanna do in their life, they will tell you their ambitions but for me, I want that whenever people talk about me, they talk good especially behind my back. I don't wanna do anything that will hurt anyone but this doesn't mean that I will not raise my voice against something wrong. Whats wrong is wrong but doing good is also important."
Jungkook kept talking and Tae listened to his every word very carefully, staring at him, giving him his full attention.
"I wanna give happiness and I want to be happy too. I wanna give love and I want to get love too....true love" That last word made Taehyung bitterly chuckle...
"True love?"
"Yeah true love" Jungkook said and Tae shook his head.
