The next day dawned slower than some people anticipated, Ishqi and Ahaan had breakfast with their respective families and both left for the Malhotra Construction's office.
Ahaan was in his cabin when there was a knock on the door- As promised Ishqi was there at exactly 9:00am- Ahaan's lips curved into a smile but he put on his blank face before she walked in, "Come in!" he yelled and Ishqi came in- "Good Morning AVM" she greeted him- "Hmm" he replied-
Ishqi: Kya "hmmm"- aap good morning ka jawab sahi se nahi de sakte?!
Ahaan: Tum mujhe dekhte hi argue kyun karna start kar deti ho?!
Ishqi: MEIN?! Humesha aap start karte hai, meine kaha "good morning AVM" aur aapne jawab hi nahi diya-
Ahaan: You're so petty!
Ishqi: And you're so khadoos!
Ahaan sighed, "Good Morning"-
Ishqi: Mujhe nahi chahiye aapka khadoos sa "good morning"
Ahaan: TOH PHIR ARGUE KIS BAAT PAR KAR RAHI THI?!- he frustratedly said-
Ishqi: Issi baat pe ke aap har waqt Mr. Khadoos kyun baan ke ghoom rahe hote hai? Kabhi toh acche mood mein raha kijiye-
Ahaan: Tumhe mere mood se kya matlab...let's get to work okay?
"Naam teen banda mean" she muttered while rolling her eyes at him- "Mujhe lagah kal ki tarah woh "sweet AVM" wala roop continue rahe ga, but yeh toh phir aapne khadoos mode par wapis aagye hai!...Mujhe kya? Mein bhi aab full ignore maaru gi" she mentally said while glaring at him-
She put the files in her hand on the table, "Let's begin"- They started the meeting, Ishqi didn't go off topic even once..the only thing she talked about was work. This continued for an hour and a half. When the meeting was successfully completed she coldly said, "Bye, A- Mr. Malhotra" and exited his cabin.
"Isse kya hogaya hai" he mumbled-
Ahaan's cabin had a huge glass window so he could see Ishqi walking away, she looked back at him and rolled her eyes, when she turned around she bumped into someone- the files in her hand fell on the ground, "DEKH KE NAHI CHAL S- Aarav?"- Her expressions changed from anger to a smile which was noticed by Ahaan as she hadn't gotten that far from his cabin.
Ishqi stood there and talked to Aarav with a huge smile on her face, they stood there for around 10 minutes conversing. Ahaan was observing them while gritting his teeth. Seeing them give each other high-fives was testing his patience. "Mere se pura time dhaang se baat nahi ki aur iss ke saath aise baatein kar rahi hai jaise pata nahi kab se jaanti hai...lekin Ahaan...woh jo bhi kare tujhe kya?" Ahaan mumbled-
Ahaan himself didn't know why, but he was definitely affected by Ishqi and Aarav's friendliness.
After watching Ishqi give him a hug his patience ran out and before he could control himself he stormed out of his cabin, grabbed her by the wrist and dragged her with him while Aarav stood there confused and all the other employees watched the scene in amusement, they had NEVER seen this side of their boss.
"AVM?" She thought-
"Chodiye! Saab dekh rahe hai!" she protested but he was in no mood to listen-
He took her to his cabin and pinned her to the wall- Although she was shook by his actions she still found the courage to say, "Yeh kar kya rahe hai aap?!"
Ahaan: Mein kya kar raha houn?! Tum kya kar rahi ho?!
Ishqi: Aapki problem kya hai?!
Ahaan: TUM! he yelled- "Tum meri problem ho!"
Ishqi! Mein? Bataiye ke meine iss baar kya kiya hai?
Ahaan was at a loss of words for a brief moment, he himself didn't know what she'd did and why it'd irked him.
Ishqi: Chup kyun hai?! Baataiye? Iss baar Ishqi ne aisi kya galti ki jisse dekh kar aapka gusse ka bomb phat gaya? Hmm?!- Khadoos aap baante hai aur larte mere se hai! Aap aise kyun hai!?
They were now dangerously close to each other, their noses almost touching, Ahaan's hands firmly held her shoulder's while Ishqi folded her arms. He was about to say something when Rhea barged into his cabin.
Rhea stared at them with anger and jealousy quite visible in her eyes, she walked into his cabin and closed the door behind her. While Ahaan and Ishqi didn't even move an inch away from each other, "aab isse kya hai?!" Ishqi thought-
While still holding Ishqi Ahaan turned towards Rhea, "Rhea? Tum yahan kya kar rahi ho?!"
Rhea: TUM DONO KYA KAR RAHE HO?! DEKH KE LAG TOH NAHI RAHA KE YAHAN MEETING CHAL RAHI HAI?!
Ishqi: Tumhe kya? Jo bhi chal raha hai-
Ahaan looked at Ishqi and thought, "Aab toh Rhea gayi, Ishqi toh bohot gusse mein hai"
Rhea: AHAAN?
Ahaan: What?
Ishqi took a deep breath and distanced herself a little from Ahaan while he slowly slid his hands off of her, "Yeh Rhea cheekh toh aise rahi hai jaise yeh police hai aur issne AVM ke cabin par raid maari hai" Ishqi mumbled-
Ishqi glanced over at Ahaan who had an annoyed expression on his face as well, she looked over at Rhea who was fuming with anger, Ishqi grabbed her purse from the ground which had fell when Ahaan had pinned her to the wall. "Aap aapni girlfriend ke saath rehye yahan, mein Sonu se milne jaa rahi houn" saying this she exited his cabin-
Ahaan: Girl- Girlfriend?? Kon?! Ishqi wait! he was about to go after her when Rhea caught his arm, "Ahaan! Tum kyun usske peeche bhaag rahe ho, she doesn't like you" said Rhea bitterly
Ahaan: Excuse me? Ishqi and I are business partners and we're going to be relatives soon toh jo kuch bhi mere aur Ishqi ke beech hai uss mein tumhe parne ki koi zaroorat nahi hai! he replied sternly
Rhea: Do you like her?
Ahaan: I- I no! I don't know! but you don't need to stick your nose in my private matters-
Rhea: If you don't like her then why are you running behind her!
Ahaan: Because...because I need to- um I-
Ahaan (inner voice): Why Ahaan? Although Rhea's interference is annoying the question she asked is valid....Why do I feel the urge to talk to Ishqi regarding this? Woh Rhea ko meri girlfriend samajhe yah kuch aur usse mujhe kya?
Ahaan: Rhea, I don't want to talk about this right now, Sonu ki shaadi ki bohot prep hai toh mein ghar jaa raha houn- and haan please stop following me around-
Rhea: But Ahaan- before she could protest further Ahaan had already left-
Rhea recalled all the times she'd seen Ahaan and Ishqi together, all those moments screamed "we're-definitely-more-than-friends...and we're-also-kinda developing- feelings-for-each other"- "UGHHHH" Rhea grunted and punched the table in anger, "Inn dono ko dour karna pareyga...I've tried for way too long to get Ahaan, I'm NOT going to loose him to Ishqi..." and with a devious plan brewing in her mind Rhea left his office, sat in her car and drove towards the Malhotra mansion as well.
