I had been calling my dear friend from a week to talk personally, i mean to share something which i can't do with my mom, dad or sister well she won't even listen for that matter. so he promised me he is coming now at 12.30pm for lunch but till now no reply to my messages' and calls, even being my legal advisor he keeps personal and professional things separate which is why he is my friend from 27 years. i tried calling him again at least to get reply and here i get the reply, he will be here in 10 minutes until then i will make our orders, it has been 1 week since i met that writer and the way Kamal uncle filled me about her, her writing skills and even i tried reading 3 chapters and the book seems very emotional to me, opps i see two legs below my table and i look in to the creature in front of me ohh my dear dude.
"Please jathin make yourself comfortable and answer me" he was sat before i could say and smirking at me, its his favorite restaurant so he won't ask me what i have ordered, because he knows that i would have ordered his favorite chinese, "so dude tell me are you really my friend. from 1 week i have been asking for your quality time to talk about writer of mine, and you didn't seem to bother at all" i was staring at him with accusing eyes, he fans his face and brings his phone in front of my face showing the call log "ohh ok i have called him for 100 times fine", he kept it on the table and raised his eyebrows on me,
" tell me now what happened?and i have heard about her for 20 times from you, and still you have so much to say, ok i would happily listen start then"
"ok i am so sorry for bothering, but jathin it shouldn't go from my mind"
he questioned me "from your mind or your subconscious mind dude" and for his words i should really bow so i did exactly that,
"ok so, listen i went to her shop, at first she took good care of me and when she got to know that i'm not the guy? she was waiting then also she was cool and she we beautiful like no eyeliner, no makeup, not even nail polish and her clothes were mom jeans and crop top, how can she be like that even after being shop owner and her dad is rich from what i got to now, she was so natural, then our order came he started eating not even looking at me m i some blooper in front of him, "Jathin are you even listening?"
he opened his mouth , "yeah dude this is 21st im counting is that fine?"
"ohh no so what do you suggest shell i stop it then?" he blinked his eye lashes that makes sense i have overbored him,
"listen i'm going to paris next week for 1 month, so please prepare my contract papers and send it to me and make the new writer contract papers also?" he straightened himself and said
"so your going to publish it, have you red it fully because if you don't get profit out of it i know, what will be your reaction,"
i thought for a second "i know and i will complete it before going, and if there are any changes i will let Kamal uncle know? so he can talk to that woman, jathin i will wipe your smirk with this tissue if its bothering you",
"isn't it normal, it's purely business and business, and you know she 31 what uncle said, but she doesn't look like 30 years, too short might be 5.4, tiny foot, tiny hands" he smirks again,
" dude enough of her beauty, let me meet her once after your contract, if i find her my kind of woman as you said" i shook it off
we made our way to parking, i reached my office and there was knock and rekha my assistant came in informing she is going to book my tickets, making my reservation on marbella, now how do i explain my mother that m going for 1 month, and my dear sister will look after in my absence,
my mom will take her revenge on my sister for not being available when we need her the most, & i do not blame her she really wants to help me, but her daughter and her inlaws so i don't intend to ask her,
and i got a message from my not so dear friend from now on " man i have not seen you talking about someone's beauty, and the skills not even with anna when you two were in love, so i think this writer made a quite impression on you & think before establishing business with her, well if it isn't on your power then i can make my way easily there and make my impression wat say?" so this what he thinks, i should be replying this but later now i'm going to gather my things and inform dad and jathin to take care.
i was taking care of my packing mom came in and switched off alexa, her face was not so in the mood.
"mom wats wrong tell me? or els your blood pressure will go high and dad will marry that aunty he saw on our new year party remember?" she didn't take it's funny did she? "mom talk atleast or help me packing please don't be quite" she exhales heavily and shook her head.
" well who listens to me my son, not you, not your dad and not your so called sister nobody, literally no one so i'm happy that nobody cares, about what i want to say you know and what about the photographes i sent in your office today"
i palmed my face and i turned to her "mom please not now, when i return, promise i will marry whoever you say ok"
and mom said "dear you know why im saying this, because every girl isn't anna so make space for others to walk in your life, and terminate that anna from your paris office so that you wouldn't have to endure your past again", i take look on my moms face while she talks about anna her face shows so much anger that i can't take out.
i went forward and took her hands in mine "mom please sit down and here me once, there's nothing called our past it wasnt anna's fault. and you won't blame her for anything again, she is good friend of mine and will be forever", she brought her hands on my head and she is sad i know,
"mom see everybody have their own choices, so it is her life, it is her choice, no need to blame her and i was the one who broke our relationship. you should be blaming me why do you always blame her, and i realised it wasn't love what we felt before 7 years, yet after you know i was busy taking care of business so even i think, i should take time to go on a vacation after this work thing" im talking and she is not mood for this ,
"mom where are you talk to me at least" she wouldn't say a word after that, you aren't helping me are you?
"yes my dear i will help you, let us pack your things"
i had dinner and made my way to study to read that book which i left unread, i got call from Kamal uncle, "yes uncle i was about to call you and ask for changes, hope i can ask for changes in this book if i feel like changing anything" he was silent for almost 30 seconds and he spoke,
"ahh, Mahesh yes when you meet Maya you can ask her, she might change but make sure you don't pressurise for her any kind of changes, if she doesn't want to change, i called you to discuss this and i did not mention this earlier, it is her story i mean that girl in the story is herself and her mother so handle carefully, i know you respect everyone but still i request you, i don't want Maya to be upset even after publishing her book"
this information was too much to process, i started reading keeping in mind what uncle just said, when it is her story then i couldn't ask for major changes, but still if it doesn't make much. or any profit then no use of bringing it into life. im almost on page no 150 still 100 to go and until now what i understood is, Maya is emotionally a little week after her mother's death, mentally very strong to face anything, loves her brother and father very much, and have seen life in much better way than me. i love to meet people like this. strong, talented, interesting, shouting on everyone kind of? and hating her grandmother not so good? what i want her to change in here is her grandmother's character, which to selfish into normal selfishness, i think writer have made grandma as selfish monster. just because she asked this girl to get married except that everything is so good too far.
i thinks this soul had suffered a lot and it needs healing, but i'm not capable of saying that i think, when i myself can't come out of my own misery, yes it's anna she was good girl and she promised me something which we made deal of, when she couldn't fulfill it she herself asked me that we should be parting, that was for good, it was just attraction in college as of me. hope that isn't love i feel i just realised after reading this book.
my flight is tomorrow so i look forward to meet Maya. and to give her shock of knowing her even before she meeting me, i know i would have not done that but i wanted to meet writer personally. and it came out as fight that to for 3rs and 10rs so silly isn't it? i wanna know how she felt fighting for 3rs like children, and loved this book but, what she had gone through is very bad that to at the age of 20 i'm not sympathetic. but i do feel that emotions which are in the book and hope she gets to meet good person,
im taking this book with me still 100 pages to go and submit it to commity, to get on agreement, it's very important to get everyone's opinion, i red the complete book and made notes to corect, i hope the writer agrees to change a little tiny tiny details,
