Waking up in the morning to a pile of people on top of me I was glad that I was used to this. If not I would have been crushed. After wiggling around I managed to get free of the pile and went for a shower before getting ready for the day. It seems Master Makarov had already visited earlier and dropped off the matching uniforms for us. Breakfast was also waiting for us on the table. My uniform was a simple pair of purple and white cotton pants, white bandages with a purple sleeveless vest over the bandages that I left undone at the front. Of course I had Gray's necklace around my neck and I called Cancer out to put my hair up in a ponytail including the fringe with a purple ribbon.
"Come on you four time to get up" I called. Starring from Midnight I started to shake them all until they finally groggily woke up.
"Kay Lucy" Midnight whispered before he flopped back onto the bed. Erza on the other hand had gotten straight up and headed to the bathroom. Natsu was making quick work of his breakfast and Gray was blinking at me while sitting up, it was kind of adorable.
"Midnight don't make ME wake you up again, you know that isn't a good idea" I cooed and the other mage instantly shot up and off the bed screaming about how he was up.
"What was that about?" Gray asked.
"It's nothing, Erza is finished in the bathroom so you should get ready as well" I smiled and he nodded, deciding it was better if he didn't ask.
It wasn't long before all of us were dressed and had breakfast so we headed for the arena. When we arrived there some guards showed us to where we would wait and instructed us to wait until our names were called out in first place. Even down here we could hear the fireworks and cheers from the crowd.
"The big day is finally here folks, the Grand Magic Games will begin very shortly. This is going to be a year to remember" Chipati Lola, the announcer, called out making the cheers get louder.
"Wow would you listen to that crowd" Erza noted.
"I had hoped that there would be less people this year but it seems even more packed then usual" I sighed a little.
"The city is full of wizards from all over the country, of course folks wanna see them in action" Gray said.
"Purple is so lame, I'd rather wear my regular clothes" Natsu pouted.
"Idiot Natsu, it isn't about the colour it is to show that we are united" I pointed out.
"I'm just glad that Aries is good at changing clothes into something new. Though I do wish that Wendy was here instead of me" Midnight sighed making me frown. I wasn't frowning at the fact he was pit out but was frowning about Wendy. Cobra had told us last night that he and Cubelios had found Wendy and Carla collapsed in the palace maze. That wasn't all either, they had been completely drained of magical power. She would survive and get better but it would take time.
"You think another team is responsible for Wendy?" Erza asked looking at me snapping me out of my day dream.
"Without a doubt. You have to remember that Fairy tail isn't strong anymore or at least it isn't seen as strong. Because of that enemies of the past are always making trouble for us so this is probably one of those times. But make no mistake when I find out who did this, they will pay dearly" I snarled my opened eye blazing in fury.
"You're not the only one that will make them pay. Picking on a little girl isn't something that I would like to brag about" Midnight growled. Wendy held a special place with Oracian seis since they still felt guilty over what happened with Nirvana and nearly destroying Wendy's guild.
"For now we should keep our heads in the game and when we know who did that to Wendy, that's when we'll make them pay" Natsu said and we all nodded in agreement.
"We're just moments away from the start of the Grand Magic Games folks. I'm lead commentator, Chipati Lola and I'll be handling the play by play. Meanwhile former council member Yajima provides commentary" Chipati Lola started.
"Mr Yajima, glad to have you with us" He continued.
"Glad to be here" Yajima replied.
"Ans let's not forget our special guest, a member of Blue Pegasus and the current holder of the second Miss Fiore, the ravishing Jenny Relight" Chipati Lola introduced. I could tell that name must have ticked Jenny off since at the moment I was the current Miss Fiore.
"Blue Pegasus is bringing home the Gold this year" She cheered.
"Here we go folks in Eighth place we have the rowdy pack of hell hounds, Quatro Cerberus" Chipati Lola said and the all male guild walked out to cheers.
"Comimg in seventh is a guild filled with the fairer sex, Mermaid heel" He continued as the all girl guild walked out. I had actually clashed with Millianna and Kagura many times because they tried to attack Jellal. In a way I could understand there hatred but at the same time tgey needed to back off my guild members.
"In sixth place as you'll see, it's the glimmer in the darkness it's Blue Pegasus" Chipati Lola said.
"Hey guys, do your best" Jenny cheered with a thumbs up.
"Next in fifth place the goddess of luck, the sacrid destroyer, Lamia Scale" He continued.
"Now to introduce our fourth place contestant what a shocker, swooping in from a midnight dreary this dark and gloomy bunch are making their debut in this year's games. Give it up for, Raven Tail" Chipati Lola said and my hands instantly clenched and I glared fiercely.
"Wow Luce what's wrong?" Natsu asked.
"That guild is led my Master Makarov's son Ivan, and it was known as a dark guild until a while ago. If I had to guess who hurt Wendy, it would have to be them. They are the lowest of the low" I snarled and Midnight hugged me, calming me down.
"Lucy has had to deal with them over the last seven years. They even tried kidnapping her and Asuka once but of course it didn't work" Midnight explained making Gray walk over and hug me as well. This of course made Erza and Natsu pout until they joined the hug.
When I calmed down again we turned our attention back to the announcements.
"Our third guild is, now this is a shock it's Fairy tail. Are they looking to climb there was up from the bottom once again?" Chipati Lola asked making the crowd go silent. We watched as Laxus, Gajeel, Juvia, Mira and Jellal walked out with lightning make a guild symbol above them.
"What? No way!" Natsu yelled.
"It's not against the rules to add a second team so I suggest it to master to make sure that we definitely got a team entered" I beamed and they turned to me.
"So that's why you asked if we were interested in the games this year" Midnight pouted and I nodded.
"Now then it's time for the runners up to be announced and what's this. This is truly shocking in second place we have the most powerful guild in Fiore, Sabertooth" Chipati Lola yelled. People were confused but still screamed and yelled for there favourite guild as they walked out looking cocky.
"Now what you've all been waiting for the team that placed first it's, Fairy tail team A. And what's this is seems the Mistress of Distruction herself is participating this year, how is this possible?" Chipati Lola screamed out. The crowd was confused on what was going on as we walked out but my fans were all screaming and I was sure I saw someone faint.
"This year the board decided that each guild could enter two teams each. As for Lucy it appears that she is no longer the guild master and has handed that title back to Makarov so she is allowed to enter the games now" Yajima explained.
"Don't worry I'll make sure not to hurt any of you too badly, I wouldn't want to get disqualified" I said while my eye burned into Raven Tail. I could careless about the other guilds at the moment seeing as they had hurt Wendy.
"It is good to see you again Lucy-dono and you are looking better then you have in a while" Jura greeted with a smile.
"It's good to see you as well Jura, I look forward to battling against you, should we be placed in the arena with each other" I smiled.
"Don't forget about our deal Gray" Lyon called.
"I never agreed to that deal and I told you last night that it is up to Juvia to decide which guild she is part of" Gray sighed.
"Erza-san, you have a beautiful parfum like always" Ichiya said making Erza get shivers up her back while freezing.
"You are looking as beautiful as always Lucy, are you sure you don't want to join me in my room?" Hibiki flirted while kissing the back of his hand.
"Oi if Luce is sharing anyones room it's going to be mine" Natsu protested pulling me back towards him only for him to be pulled away by Midnight.
"Who decided that? Lucy would rather share my room" Midnight huffed with a glare.
"Hey you guys can't claim Lucy as yours" Gajeel yelled making me sweatdrop. If this continued we were going to have a battle royal before we even started the games. Worse part was, it would be over who got to share my bed.
"Geez these guys" I sighed shaking my head.
"You're guild sure is loud" Sting commented and I saw he was looking at Natsu while Rogue was looking at Gajeel.
"Yeah it really us, that is what makes it so fun" I giggled before turning serious.
"You should know Sabertooth, that my offer from last time still stands. If you ever find Jiemma getting out of control I will take care of him for you" I said before walking away from them to stop the fight that was about to break out.
Finally I managed to get them all to stop fighting and we each went to our own viewing platforms so that we could decide who would be joining the games. After I saw the competitors and knew that Gray was going to be the one playing for us I grabbed me and pulled him close.
"Watch out for Nullpudding from Raventail, that guild has it out for us so he is going to target you from the start. Rufus from Sabertooth is good magically but he is physically weak so he will more then likely stay back and use some sort of aerial attack. When uses that attack make sure to block and absorb it not just dodge it" I advised and Gray nodded before jumping down.
"From Sabertooth we have Rufus. Raventail is sending Nullpudding. Fairy tail team B is Juvia. Fairy Tail team A is Gray. Blue Pegasus has sent Eve. Lamia Scale is Lyon. Mermaid Heel has sent Beth. And finally from Quatro Cerberus is Jager" Chipati Lola announced.
"The first game that they will be competing in is called hidden" Mato the pumpkin guy grinned.
"The idea of this game is to stay hidden while also getting points in the simulated town" Yajima said as the town appeared. I knew that it would be as easy as just hiding in the town while tagging the others for a point. Unfortunately I was proven right as holographic clones appeared in the town.
"In this game you get a point after tagging an opponent but be careful if you tag a clone you will lose a point and then be transported to a different place after a minute" Chipati Lola explained.
"Is Gray going to be okay?" Erza asked, curious how I thought he would fair.
"So long as he takes my advice, doesn't underestimate his enemy and uses what he learn while training he will be fine" I smiled.
We watched as the game began and I had to stop my giggles when Juvia couldn't help but hug one of the Gray clones. Just like I thought Nullpudding went straight for Gray but since I warned him Gtay was able to dodge and hit the Raven Tail mage. Of course that was only the begin as points were added and lost by all guilds except from Sabertooth. Seems for now Rufus was laying low and planned to attack and get enough points to win near the end of the game. I found myself impressed with Eve's snow magic, if Gray and Lyon weren't in the game it would be a sure way to get a lot of points. That's when my eyes caught something and I saw Rufus was on the top of the tallest building, charging him magic. With a large blast the magic shot straight towards the other contestants. Even if the dodged the attack it curved to get them. All except for one person.
"I've been waiting for you to pop you head up" Gray called as he used his ice make magic to create a box to stop Rufus's magic before summoning a bow and arrow. Since Rufus had focused his magic on the previous attack and the shower of arrows were already flying towards him, he only had time to block some of them. That meant of course Rufys got hit and Gray got another point.
"There you have it folks. This is only the first game but it sure was exciting! Mr Yajima, would you care to offer some feed back?" Chipati Lola cheered.
"It was a nice clean game, everyone had there strategies and we got to see some good magic" Yajima commented.
"Poor Eve, he tried his best" Jenny cheered for her guild mate.
"And here you go folks, it's time to see which guild came out on top. I can tell you, it was a close call" Chipati Lola said, keeping the crowd on the edge of their seats.
"This is a shocker, it's Fairy tail team A, followed by Sabertooth, Raven Tail, Blue Pegasus, Mermaid heel, Lamia Scale, Fairy tail team B and I last it's Quatro Cerberus" Chipati Lola exclaimed. Yes, we had come in first, I could already see everyone rethinking about Fairy tail. If they thought that was the only shock they would get, they were wrong.
