Alek is gonna kill me.
That thought echoes in my head as I lead the small puppy into the house.
I was tending to my garden like I always do in the morning and I heard a tiny little whine of pain. Of course, I had to find out what it was.
The small puppy was stuck with its collar around a bush, somehow with a hurt foot. It was so tiny and so cute. I couldn't not take it home.
It was sweet too!
I couldn't carry it or I would just end up hurting myself, so I tried my best to guide him to the house, successfully doing so in the end.
"It's alright, little cutie," I softly say to the frightened animal, petting its head.
After giving him a million kisses all over his head, I lead him to the living room, carefully lifting him onto the couch and making sure he was comfortable before going to the kitchen to find something that he could eat.
Apollo sat in one of the kitchen chairs, staring at me like she knew exactly what I had done. I crinkle my nose at her and she turns away, licking her paw, unbothered.
I search through the fridge, eventually coming across some leftover chicken Alek had made the other day. I heat it up a little before bringing it back to the cutie.
Placing the plate down on the couch beside his head, he instantly goes to devour the food. I smile at him and tell him how cute he is.
My phone interrupts my one-sided conversation.
I snag it out of pocket and smile more when I see the name of who's calling me. Alek <3
"Hi, my love," his warm, deep voice sounds through the phone and into my ears. "What are you up to?"
"Hi, darling," I excitedly reply, a giddy grin stuck on my lips. Then my eyes land on the puppy. "Oh, um, n-nothing much."
"Hm," he hums in disbelief.
"When are you gonna be home?" I question before he can say anything else.
"In about 30 minutes," he replies. "Are you okay? Feeling alright?"
My heart melted at his sweet tone and sweet words. "I'm feeling great. But I miss you," I inform.
"I miss you too, baby. I'll be there soon, yeah?"
"Mhm. Then.. then you'll give me a bajillion kisses, right?" I ask in a quiet voice, my cheeks blushing for some reason.
They need to stop that.
"Of course," he says. "Anything for my pretty girl."
I need to scream. I think my heart is going to explode, bro.
"Y-yeah. I'm gonna go.. I'll see you later. Be safe."
"Okay. I love you, Elvi. Bye-bye."
"I love you, Alek. Bye-bye."
I hang up the phone and launch it onto the floor, shoving my face into my hands and silently squealing. After taking a few seconds to calm down, I peek out of my hands and look at the puppy.
He already had his eyes on me.
I waved at him and smiled. I think he smiled back.
I moved closer so I could give him more pets and try to get him to fall asleep. When he does, I grab my phone back into my hands and take a selfie of me and the doggo.
I open up the group chat with me, Nico, Giovanni, Atticus, and Lennox, sending the photo to it.
Lennox ;D: Alek is gonna beat your ass, shortcake
Nico ;p: nah, he loves her too much
Lennox ;D: true, true
Me: what should i name him?
Atticus ;0: Atticus
Me: No
Gio ;q: Ares or Artemis
Me: Oohhh i love those :)
Atticus: fuck you, Gio

The familiar sound of car tires speeding down the gravel road snaps my head up. Knowing it couldn't be anyone other than Alek, my heartbeat quickens and I look back at a still sleeping puppy.
Me: he's here
With that, I stand up and quietly rush to the front door, waiting anxiously while I rock back and forth on my feet.
He walks through the front door, dressed in a simple suit, and his hair let down. I instantly rush to him and throw my arms around his waist, nuzzling my face into his hard chest. One of his hands brush through my hair while the other goes over my shoulder and pulls me incredibly close to him.
No words are said for a while, both of us just enjoying each other's comfort.
I finally glance up at him, resting my chin on his chest now. A cute grin sits on his lips and his dark eyes sparkle with happiness like they always do when he looks at me.
Smiling back at him, I lean up to kiss him.
His mouth hungrily meets mine, his smooth lips sending fuzziness to my brain.
The hand that was in my hair comes down to the back of my throat and squeezes slightly, making me let out a quiet moan. Alek continues to kiss me harshly, his tongue invading my mouth, and his teeth grazing my lips.
He doesn't let me pull away, keeping the tight grip on my neck.
He finally pulls away, smirking down at me while I try to catch my breath again.
"So fucking perfect," he mutters, leaning down to kiss me on the tip of my nose. "Isn't that right, kitten?"
I can only nod my head in reply. He nods his head back, the pretty smile still on his gorgeous face. He then squats down on his feet, hands going down to my hips. He leans forward and leaves soft kisses on my covered bump.
The fetus is almost to three months.
"I-I have a surprise for you."
"Really?"
"Yeah, so come on," I demand, grabbing his hand and making him stand up. "I never said it was a good surprise," I mumble to myself.
I lead him to the living room and look back at him to catch his reaction. "What the fuck is that doing in the house?"
"His name is Artemis," I inform, looking back at the puppy who is now awake. "I found him stuck in a bush."
Alek continues to give me a dirty look.
"Can I please please keep it?" I plead, making begging hands and puppy eyes of course. "Please?" I add with a pout to my bottom lip.
He looks away from me and looks at the puppy. "If no one claims him then I guess," he says, causing me to squeal.
I jump at him again and tightly wrap my arms around him, kissing his chest repeatedly.
"Be careful, baby."
I ignore that and continue to kiss him in thank you.
A soft kiss is given to the top of my head. "I need to go change, okay?"
I mumble an 'okay' back and let go of him, walking over to Artemis and sitting beside him. He looks up at me and moves his head to sit in my lap. I again tell him how cute he is and pet him.
I don't even notice when Alek returns until I'm being lifted up and placed down onto his lap. I look over at him to see him pouting a little.
"You still have to give me attention or I'll find him a new home."
"So cute and needy," is all I say in response.
