it's been a while:

Listen.
You mean the world to me, alright?
And we've been through a lot together.
But the entire year of 2007 was probably the worst we've been through...
September started off normally:
We both started school after a long summer break, and I finally got to meet you.
Remember that whole scatter graph situation?
Of course you do.
I wrote about it in the first chapter...
And, the pleasant memories which followed after that moment in time, only lasted for a month and a half.
Crushing.
That's what your silence was doing to my heart:
Crushing it.
Tearing it out of my chest and stomping on all of the broken pieces.
I felt empty, afterwards.
But I couldn't tell whether that was just because you had broken me, or I just really missed your presence.
Only you could fill that void in my chest─the hole where my heart once was.
I had desperately tried to fix it.
I tried to fix us.
But everytime I had tried to talk to you─ever since that day you had let out all of your tears; crying and crumbling into a heap of despair on my bedroom floor─you had just tuned me out and pretended not to hear my words, my voice, or my desperate cries for help.
You had taken my heart.
And you had crushed it.
I thought that was the end for us.
The end of our one-and-a-half month of friendship.
It wasn't much, but it felt like a lifetime.
I missed being around you.
I missed your warmth, your comfort, your kindness, and all of our memories together.
Together, Chan.
We were always meant to be together.
Why did it take you an entire year to realise that?
