"That was the story of your mom and dad", Aldric said to his five year old angel who was cradled up in his lap.
"Mom was very beautiful and strong", Rosel said to her father. A glint of happiness in her face.
"She indeed was", Aldric said to her."My beautiful princess and angel", he continued. His eyes were glittering with tears at their memory.
He glanced at his little angel who was now looking a bit sad.
"But dad you still didn't tell me where is mom", she said.
"Let me show you something", he said and got up with Rosel still in his arms. He walked through the castle corridors and exited the main door. He entered the garden area.
"Where are we going dad?", she asked.
"To meet your mom", he said smiling.
Rosel threw her hands up and shouted," Yayy". Aldric chuckled looking at his little princess.
He went futher into the garden and there was a iron door leading to a beautiful garden covered in flowers. It was prohibited for everyone to enter. No one had ever come here, other than Aldric himself. But, this time someone else was also going inside . His daughter. His life.
He opened the gate and entered the beautiful garden.
"Wow dad. It's so beautiful", Rosel exclaimed.
"Yes. Just like you my love", he said to his daughter and chuckled. He went further inside the garden and there was a grave. A grave decorated with flowers. Surrounding it was some photo frames of Aldric and Ava. In a beautiful font , there was written the name of the person.
'Ava Johnson'.
He went towards the grave and sat beside it. Tears filled his eyes. "Baby see, today I brought our little angel with me", Aldric said in tears.
"Dad, is my mom inside this?", Rosel asked.
"Yes my princess. She is inside", Aldric said.
A glint of confusion on Rosel's face. "Then why is she not coming out?", she asked.
"She can't come out but she is always here. You know ,she is watching us from up there", Aldric said pointing towards the sky.
Rosel's eyes also filled with tears. "But dad Daren said that if someone watches us from sky, then that person is de-ad. My mom is de-ad?", she asked to her father and then broke into sobs.
Aldric eyes teared up more listening to his daughter. He hugged her and said,"No princess she is not. She is always here with us. Looking after us. She might not be here physically but she is always watching upon us", Aldric said making his daughter peek his face out.
"But dad I want her with me. All of my friends have their mom. But I don't have. Even Daren also has. His mom cooks him lunch. But my mom doesn't", Rosel said in tears.
"But your dad makes you delicious food. Doesn't he?", Aldric said his daughter who was whimpering.
"But I want my mom", Rosel demanded.
Aldric sighed. He took his daughter's hand and took it to her chest where her heart is supposed to be."She is always here inside you", Aldric said smiling in his tears.
"Here?", Rosel asked confused.
Aldric nodded his head. A wide smile appeared on Rosel's face. "Yayy! My mom is here", Rosel said and jumped up from Aldric lap cheering. Aldric smiled looking towards his beautiful daughter.
Her eyes were just like her mother. Blue. Always reminding him of the love of his life.
"See dad there was butterflies over there", Rosel said and ran towards the beautiful flowers.
"Princess, our daughter is just like you. I wish you were here to see her growing up. I wish you were here beside me", Aldric said to Ava's grave and burst into sobs.
His princess. His love,was no more in this world. The only thing he was left was with her memories and a beautiful gift she gave him before going. His daughter. His little angel for whom he was living for. The only one he had in this world. He would have ended his life the moment his love took her last breathe but he was not that selfish to leave his daughter as a orphan. So, he decided to live his life for his little princess.
His heart clutched at the immense amount of pain he felt everyday at the lose of his love. His wife. His angel. But, he was helpless. He was helpless in front of the cruel fate that left him shattered with the most beautiful gift of his life.
He still remembers the last words that left Ava's mouth. " Take care of our little angel. Live you life the way you are doing. The boss of mafia and also the best father to our daughter. Even though I will not be here, always remember that no matter what I will be always be there watching from above. Make our princess a strong girl so that people can tell that she is AJ and Ava's daughter. She is the symbol of our painfully beautiful love story. Love her more than you love me. And always remember I love you more than the universe can define and don't ever blame yourself for anything. Take care of yourself. " After which she took her last breathe in the arms of the love of her life.
Ava had got into a severe accident while she was returning from her company. She was brought into the hospital. The doctors treated her but they were not able to do anything as she had multiple organ failure. They somehow managed to keep her alive for two days using life support and in those two days Aldric never left her side. He use to talk to her unconscious figure until fate gave her a chance to talk with her husband for the last time. When she opened her eyes she saw her husband who was crying his eyes out and her brother who held her one year old daughter.
After talking with them for the last time she closed her eyes for forever.
"Why did you leave me princess? It is tough to live without you", he said to her grave.
Aldric felt little hands wiping his tears. "Dad why are you crying?", Rosel asked.
"Just missing your mom", Aldric replied painfully chuckling.
She took his hand and brought them to his chest "She is always here", Rosel said giggling.
His eyes filled with admiration for his little daughter when he saw her repeating the same thing he told her. If only it was not for this little angel, his life would have been hell. He had vowed to protect this little angel and love her more than anything. And this time he meant it with his entire existence.
"Yes my princess", he said and wiped his tears.
After which he removed the dried leaves which had fell on Ava's grave. He removed the roses which he put on her grave the day before and replaced them with fresh ones.
He took his daughter in his arms and got up ."Now what does my queen want to eat", Aldric asked Rosel. "Spaghetti", she shouted.
Aldric chuckled. "Okay. Now say bye to your mama", Aldric said.
"Bye bye mom. Love you", she said and blew a kiss to her mother's grave.
"Love you too princess", Aldric said smiling. "Now lets go", he continued and walked out of the garden. Making sure to lock it later so that no one can enter into this heaven he made with his own hands for his princess.
His love might not be there with him but their love story was completed. Their painfully beautiful story. A cruel fated love which ended shattered. But was the most heavenly thing that has ever happened.
