Asaiah woke up first, Justice was still asleep she wrapped her arms around his lower abdomen and laid on his stomach.

It was officially Asia's birthday weekend and the gang was gonna go all the way out.
"Stop moving." Justice mumbled.
"My bad." Asaiah smirked as he purposely moved around just to annoy Justice.
Justice smacked her lips and moved to the other side of the bed.
Asaiah sat up so his back was to the headboard board.
"Can you tell Asia I said happy birthday?" Justice asked as she turned to face the wall.
"You not going?" Asaiah asked with a raised eyebrow.
Justice shook her head no. "I don't feel good." She said partly telling the truth.
Justice had a headache but besides that she was honestly scared, she was scared of what the others would think when they saw her and knowing Taryn and her problematic ways would only add more problems to the mix.
Justice yawned. "Her present is on the top shelf in my closet you can grab it when you leave."
Asaiah got out the bed and started putting on the hoodie he had on the night before.
"You sure you good?"
"I'm fine Asaiah, I promise."
"Alright I'll check on you after the party."
Asaiah opened Justice's walk in closet and grabbed the bright pink gift bag that sat on the top shelf.
Asaiah excited the closet and shut the door behind him.
"Jus."
"Mhm?"
"Take care of yourself."
"I will."

Justice was finishing her hygiene routine when her phone buzzed, thinking it was Asaiah trying to check up on her she picked up her phone and almost dropped it.

Justice nodded and finished getting ready her and her mother hadn't spoken in weeks.
She showered and changed into a baggy shirt and jeans, she had taken out her butterfly locs awhile ago and slicked her natural 4c hair in a slick back.
By the time she was done getting ready it was going on 1:30.
She grabbed her personal things and headed out the door.
In 30 minutes Justice was at her parents house she stepped out her car and walked up to the door.
The door opened and Justice was immediately greeted with hugs by her siblings.
"We missed you." Jaci mumbled.
"You back." Samiyah said.
Justice wiped the tear in the corner of her eye.
"I missed you guys too."
"Let her breathe y'all." Darnell said as he walked over to give Justice a side hug.
"Your mother is in the back." Darnell said gathering the kids.
Justice walked through the house and to the back where she saw her mom sitting in a porch chair.
She went to sit next to her.
"Hi mama."
Kendra wasted no time.
"I was wrong, I was very wrong." She said. "You're a grown woman and what happens between Taryn and you is frankly none of my business, I was scared and upset and took it out on the wrong person, you didn't know what Taryn was gonna do."
"I'm sorry for pushing you away Justice, I really am."
"It's ok." Justice mumbled.
"It's not and I'm so sorry."
Justice got up and hugged her mom they both needed it.
"Stay for dinner, we've all missed you so much."
Justice nodded. "I'll stay."

Taryn sat in the passenger seat like a child she was excited.
"Did you get it!" Taryn asked as Kendrick got in the car.
"Stop yelling, and I got it." Kendrick responded.
"Good," Taryn smirked.

"You're so spoiled." Hakeem sighed.
"Boy shut up and hand me the next gift." Asia said waving Hakeem off.
Hakeem handed Asia the pink gift bag.
"It's from J." Asaiah said.
"Awww I miss my baby Justice." Asia pouted.
"We could all be shaking ass right now." Asia groaned.
"Girl open the gift." Chyna laughed.
Asia opened the pink bag and pulled out a long red velvet case and a matching box. She opened the case and pulled out a gold queen of hearts playing card necklace, Asia opened the matching box and inside was a ring that had the letter A covered in diamonds.
"Awwww Justice came through."
"Ain't it cute Kari?" Asia asked her older brother.
"It's ight."
Asia smacked her lips as Hakeem helped her with the jewelry.
"Now that everyone has given you their presents I wanna give you mine." Hakeem announced.
Hakeem cleared his throat.
"Asia Evelyn Jordan I have known you for 7 years now and I have never been happier....well besides you eating my food-
"Boy get to the point." Asia laughed.
"The point is I'm happy with you, you make me happy and I want to continue to be happy."
Hakeem got on one knee and pulled out a small black box.

Thousand rounds of bullets entered the backyard.
Everyone got on the ground, hiding under tables and behind trees trying to protect theirselves.

Asaiah was the first to stand up, then Kari and Khalil.
Kari went to go help his sister and Khalil was helping Chyna up.
"Where's Hakeem?" Asia asked, her white dress ruined from the dirt.
"I-
"Shhh." Asaiah shushed cutting Kari off.
Everyone got quiet and soon all you heard was faint gasping.
Asaiah ran to the noise and behind the gift table was Hakeem.
"Y'all!" Asaiah yelled.
"You good Hakeem?" Asaiah asked.
He scanned Hakeem's body and his eyes got wide as he stared at two blood stains one coming from Hakeem's shoulder and the other near his ribcage.
"He's been shot!"
Everyone came running over.
Hakeem's eyes were uncontrollably rolling to the back of his head.
"Hakeem!" Asia screamed she fell to the ground and started putting pressure on his wounds.
"I'm calling the police." Chyna announced.
"Stay with us Hakeem!" Khalil yelled.
The gang gave Hakeem their undivided attention until the paramedics came.
They put him on a stretcher and immediately started giving him oxygen and checking for a pulse.
"We got a a very faint pulse!" One of the paramedics announced.
Hakeem's life was just starting and here he was fighting for it.
