Drishti frowned looking at the message again on Monday morning.
Why would Vedant Khoda wants to meet her?
Isn't he in some kind of rivalry with her husband.
If she tells Shravan, he will straight out tell her not to meet him. Then she wouldn't be able to know what he wants.
She will tell him after the meeting.
Normally she wouldn't respond to such an arrogant message. But the man is a Khoda. Her father was able to achieve his dreams because of the Khodas. So there is no way she was going to ignore the message of a Khoda.
"Drishti, keep your phone aside and concentrate on what you are doing." Shravan reprimanded as he walked into the kitchen.
Drishti had been learning simple cooking recipes from the lady who comes for cooking. And she had been trying to fry pakoras.
"Oh no!! The pakoras cheated" Drishti cried
"Cheated?" Shravan frowned
"They were supposed to turn golden brown. But they turned black" Drishti complained looking at the burnt pakoras
"That's what happens when you scroll through Instagram while cooking. Keep them aside. I'm already late for the office" Shravan said as he took two plates for them.
They had reached home late at night and had overslept in the morning.
Now Shravan have to hurry to the office and bear with Mithran's teasings.
"You don't love me anymore." Drishti accused making Shravan roll his eyes
"Just because I love you, I should agree that the pakoras cheated?" Shravan asked in disbelief.
Drishti pouted.
"Now stop pouting and eat" Shravan said
"How can a man change his character like a chameleon changes it's color. One minute, you are this most romantic and cutest husband in the world ever. And the next minute, you are totally different" Drishti complained
"Well, that's how all the husbands are" Shravan said
"How do you know? My Paa is not like that. He is always sweet and cute with my Maa. He always agrees with Maa, no matter what" Drishti said
"Maybe. But then Maa is always mature and deals with things the right way" Shravan said
"Hmmphh"

After Shravan left, Drishti dialed Siddhu's number. She heard the engaged tune and tried multiple times before the call was attended.
"Take the hint D. I was busy" Siddhu said irritatedly, as soon as he attended the call.
"What is more important than me? Me? Princess Maheswari" Drishti asked with a huff.
"Excuse me Princess Maheswari. I was busy with a real princess. Actually a princess by blood. Not a duplicate one like you" Siddhu said cheekily.
"I'm real. I was crowned. Remember?" Drishti argued
"Is there a point in this argument D? If not, I would like to go back to my call" Siddhu said
"Spare me five minutes lover boy. This is important" Drishti said
"Fine, tell me quickly" Siddhu said and Drishti told him about the message from VK.
"You think it's a good idea to go meet the man? I have heard that he is ruthless. And moreover, he is not on good terms with your husband" Siddhu said
"I need to know why he called me. You know The Khodas sponsored my Paa's education at Harvard. We owe them." Drishti said
"Okay. Do you want me to come with you?" Shravan asked
"No. Just cover for me. I will tell Shravan that I'm meeting you." Drishti said
"Okay. Be careful. Call me if you need me"
"Sure. Tell Shreya a hi from my side" Drishti said and hung up.
Drishti then quickly got ready and left to Cafe Mexican where VK was already waiting for her.
"You are late" the man complained coldly with a frown of disapproval on his face.
Drishti looked at her watch and saw that it was five minutes past eleven.
"Only five minutes" Drishti said
"Time is money. Money is everything. My each second is worth millions" VK said coldly.
"Well, you were the one who wanted this meeting. Not my problem" Drishti said with a shrug.
The waiter came to take the order.
"Two Espressos" VK ordered without asking her.
Drishti fumed at the man's high handedness.
"Excuse me, make that one espresso and one cappuccino." Drishti told the waiter and turned to VK with a fake smile.
"I can order for myself Mr Khoda" Drishti said and the man simply shrugged.
There were no emotions on his face.
How the hell did Isha develop a crush on this man, Drishti wondered. She had gotten close to Isha in the last months and Isha had once spilled about her long term crush on VK, a family friend.
"I don't like wasting time Ms Malhotra, I would like to get the point" VK began
"Actually, it's Mrs Maheswari. And yes, I would like to know what this meeting is about." Drishti asked, not giving up on attitude herself.
"I was the island back" VK said
"Island? What island?" Drishti asked
"Pearl island, that has been in my family for years" Drishti asked
"You mean D love?" Drishti asked and VK's lips thinned in annoyance.
"It has been called Pearl Island for years." VK said
"Yeah. But for the last few years it has been called D Love" Drishti said much to VK's annoyance.
"Which will be changed back to Pearl, as soon as I get the island back" VK said
"You are talking as if I'm willing to give it to you" Drishti said
"You don't know me Mrs Maheswari. I always get what I want. And I want my island back" VK said
"Then I would make a good rival for you Mr Khoda. I'm too stubborn to let people get away with what they want" Drishti said
"We will see Mrs Maheswari. Pearl island will be back in Khoda family soon" VK vowed
"Let's wait and see then"
