I somehow managed to end the project with Raj.. A week later, I was looking through the office window..
What do I do about the new project, we needed some investors..
The door opened.. It was Vikram, in his grey suit..
I smiled at him and He came towards me..
"Sree.. I have got a surprise for you? ", he said
" Ya? ", I asked
" Well Veena ma got us tickets to Munnar for a week", he said
"Wow vacation , great!! ", I said grinning
" Hey don't worry, this isn't our honeymoon, this is a chill trip" He said
Why would I worry? Anyways he knew I wanted my honeymoon in Maldives, hope he didn't forget..
And it was our anniversary in 3 days! I understood what this trip meant, but I was silent..
"We leave tomorrow morning, so pack everything you need! ", he said
" And ya I called the other pairs, so that it would be more fun ", he said
Ohh, means Raya and Akshara would be coming..
Pack everything! Omg! I needed to buy lots of things, and I hadn't thought of anything for the anniversary, I should get him some gift right!! And I had only today!! I was panicking
" Sree? Everything fine? ", he asked
" Ya yaa.. Tomorrow.? And you are here to tell me this? ", I asked.. What was he doing here in office hours
" I wanted to see my wife, come on! ", he said..
I raised my eye brow..
" All right!! That is a part of the truth, I wanted to see your expression live and I had a meeting nearby, btw you don't seem so excited? ", he asked sadly
" Hey no, no I am excited, it's just that I'm trying to process, you are like we are leaving tomorrow, I have so much to shop! I'll be late tonight ", I said
" Shop? Why? ", he asked
" Well of course , I need to get new dresses, you won't understand.. ", I said
" Ok ok", he said smiling and came near me and kissed my cheek..
He had tat woodsy smelling cologne around him..
"See you then, got to go", he said and went out..
I took my phone and texted in my watsapp group with the girls.

Akshara : Yup Ajay told me just now😄

Its gonna feel so awkward there with Gautham! You people will be with each other what do I do?

I put my phone down, feeling heavy hearted..!
Gautham would not like coming on this trip with me, then why did he agree!
He sure bought me that gift, because his mom insisted..
I went to see his family, that week..
His parents were really nice and they liked me,

I never wear chains, but I have been wearing this for 2 weeks!
After that things were too professional.
He would come to my place to talk about the projects and would leave..

At that moment, Gautham came to my place.. Holding a file
"Look through it, tell me if you see inconsistencies, see if any more expenditures can be cut ", he said, dropping the file on my table..
Well I worked in Sree 's company, but Gautham took my help for his too.. Ever since it was near bankruptcy, He needed extra hands, and I agreed to help!
He has been giving me so much work mercilessly and not even a thanks, I didn't ask for money dude!
"You know about the trip? ", I asked
He nodded
" What about it? ", he asked sternly
" Nothing ", I said looking down
" Let me make a point clear Raya, I agreed to go on that trip for Vikram,", he said..
That hurt me but I smiled..
"Cool", I said looking at the file, not willing to look into his eyes.

We finally went to shop!! We were looking at dresses!
Raya and Akshara forced me to get a short dress even when I protested! These girls!
Then I bought a watch for Vikram, And some other stuff too..
I made Raya buy a watch for Gautham, She didn't want to but I felt maybe she should too.
"Ahem I think we should go there", said Raya pointing at the lingerie shop
" What is the need", I said
"Who knows Sree, and you are married! ", Akshara said her eyebrow raised
" Hey then you both should get too", I said
"Gautham would kill me, if he sees that with me", Raya said
"Ohh.. Come on!! ", I said
They dragged me inside and made me buy !
I imagined what would be Vikram's expressions on seeing this!
Would he be shocked or surprised. Does he like such things!
Anyways what is the use of this in the trip, It's not a honeymoon right!
Well I made Akshara buy some too, I made a deal to get only if she does..
I felt bad for Raya,.. But I had a hope that this trip will fix everything for them..

I was surprised to see Vikram home early, this workaholic man had changed a lot.. He came towards me and placed a kiss on my cheek.. Before moving to change his clothes..
I hurriedly packed his gifts.. Inside my bag, before he ever spotted it.
I wondered what he got for me. He remembered it right?
"Of course Sree, how would he forget, don't be ridiculous", I told myself
At that moment he came out of the washroom.. I looked at him
" What did you buy? ", he asked
" Mmm nothing much, few clothes.. ", I said.. Before I could put the dress in the bag,.. He came near me, pulled me towards him and kissed my lips...
" Don't disturb me and let me pack ", I said
" I came so early for you and you want to pack.." , He said.. Pulling me closer when I moved away
"We are going on a trip right, we will have all time.! ", I said giggling and he stopped my giggle with another kiss on my lips.
I managed to move an inch away
" You packed? ", I asked
" No", he said
"Then go and do that! ", I said
" What's there to pack! I'll just throw in a few clothes done", he said
"What randomly? You wait, I'll choose the clothes, should have shopped for you too", I said
I had actually got him a few shirts, but those were a part of the gift..
" Now I have so much work, let me do it Vikram ", I said

I hoped Sree likes this trip. I want to make her the happiest girl ever!
I wanted to do so much for her.. I sat in the corner of the bed, admiring her..
When she looked at me..
She took a few of my clothes and threw at me.
"Pack", she said
I sighed and took my bag.. I hated packing!
I slept in the middle of it.. It was Sree who woke me up, made me eat and told me to sleep properly.
I woke up in the morning. We had a flight to Cochin, so we had hired a cab..
Sree came out of the restroom..
"Go get ready fast", she said..
We ate breakfast.. We had 3 bags.. The cab had come, and Sree went to pick the bags.
" Hey, I'll carry it ", I said, taking all the 3 bags at once..
" I'll take one, give me ", she protested, and came behind me, but I didn't let her..
We picked up Akshara, Raya, Ajay and Gautham
Akshara, Ajay and even Raya seemed happy. Gautham was dull..
Ajay and Akshara were talking animatedly..
We boarded the flight and I got Sree a sandwich
"Why did you get this now? ", she asked
" Come on eat up, it might take time for lunch ", I said

My seat was near Gautham, I was a little nervous but thought probably it was for the better.
I was waiting when Gautham went and spoke to them both..
Then I saw Akshara come towards me.. With a sad face..
" Umm.. He wanted to sit there", she said.. She understood what I felt.
I felt unwanted. Why would he treat me, well anyone like this!
Akshara hugged me on seeing my expression..
"Babe.. Listen.. I know you like him, but After this trip, talk to him, if he is still like this, I guess you shouldn't go ahead", she said
I nodded.. I understood, no matter how painful it seemed..
" He is a good person Akshara, ", I said
" Ya, we know him that doesn't matter, the only thing is if he is good with you", she said
Tears threatened to drop from my eyes.
"Umm.. I'm going to sleep", I said and closed my eyes before she could see that.

Well, I knew what she felt about Gautham, and the only reason we had been so quite about this for so long was because we knew Gautham was a good person!
But what we couldn't figure out, was why he was behaving like this to her! He wasn't like this usually.
We had tried thinking of plans to bring them together during this trip..
I took my phone and messaged Ajay..
I looked at my finger at the ring..
No matter, how many days were over, seeing this brings a new feel.
Ajay understood me, he supported my views, saw series with me and accepted me for who I am.
Except Sheela, I liked everything about him
Well I was getting used to Sheela.. I still remembered the first day, I went to his house. Seeing that dog, I screamed my lungs out!!
Ajay had to calm me down, and I fought with him, that it's either the dog or me!
He somehow convinced me, that Sheela wouldn't be around me, and I agreed..

We reached Cochin and took a cab..5 hour trip.. Phew
I looked out at the view.. My stomach was rumbling. Thankfully he got me the sandwich. He was so caring of me.
We got down in the middle and ate lunch, then proceeded
As we reached, the place looked so beautiful and filled with tranquility.
The air felt so fresh and clean.. The majestic mountains and the green lush trees and plantations gave a peace to the mind. The air smelt of tea and spices..
I looked at Vikram, who was calmly looking out..
Hmm.. This place gives an extra romantic feel too, the cool wind, fresh air,..
"Sree look there", he pointed at a beautiful view..
"Honeymoon sir? ", the cab driver asked us..
" Just a trip ", Vikram said to the driver
" Ohh.. Seeing as you came in pairs, I thought honeymoon , anyways sir this is a very romantic place, the air is filled with it", the driver said
"Who comes to honeymoon in 3 pairs..", I thought
Vikram smiled and looked at me and I turned away.
"Hear Akshara, ", Ajay teased her, for which he got a smack..
Gautham and Raya looked awkward, Raya acted as if she didn't hear anything.
In some time, we finally reached the resort.. Veena ma had done all the bookings!
3 tree house cottages had been booked! I didn't know that till I reached there..
Gautham hesitated, " Can we get normal rooms separate, instead of cottages"" He asked..
Vikram convinced him to stay with her somehow. Raya seemed nervous..
" Hey it will be fine, go take some rest.. ", I said
" Come", Gautham said sternly and walked forward, Raya gave a frightened look at me and followed him.
After they were gone, I went with Vikram inside.. It was just normal, the walls, floor everything was of wood and the windows made the place airy and gave it a greeny view..
The bed in the middle was made..
The room wasn't that big, surrounding the room was a verandah that covered the sides of the house..
I followed Vikram there.. On one side of the verandah where there was a small tea table with 2 chairs..
There was no one around.. Except green trees and plants..
"So.. ", Vikram said coming near me..
" It's me and you, all alone.. What do you want to do? ", he asked, putting his hand on my waist and pulling me towards him.
" Aren't we going out? , I asked.
" We are, we have some time, which I want to use wisefully", he said.. And looked into my eyes..
His hands gripped me tighter as he moved towards me and kissed my cheeks.. I held his arms.. As he trailed his lips to mine.. And kissed me hastily..
I responded to him, and kissed back..
He drove my breath away with his deep kisses..
I moved my hand over his hair and pulled him closer, leaning over the railing..
"Be careful, I don't want to fall over", I said laughing..
He smiled and kissed my forehead gently..
" I won't let you ", he said..
