Mai's POV
I woke up to an annoying ringing sound. My head was pounding. As I slowly opened my eyes to find the source of the noise, I noticed three things. First, I was not in John's room, and second, someone was in the shower, and third, my brother Max was ringing me non stop. I groaned as I grabbed my phone.
📞 Max Verstappen
Mai- "what do you want Max" I groaned down the phone
Max- "well aren't you a delight" he sarcastically replied.
Mai- "I'm hungover, what is it" I asked again.
Max- "I heard from John about Ben, I wanted to call and check up on you" he asked sounding genuinely concerned.
Mai- "I'm doing okay Max, Alex and Josh got there in time to help" I replied.
Max- "okay good, I'm glad your okay! I also wanted to tell you I'll be in England on Sunday it's the silverstone race! And your coming!" He screamed the last part down the phone.
Mai-"calm down max, I can't take this much noise this early!"- I groaned down the phone.
"But yes I will come! I'm excited to see you Max I miss you!" I added.
Max- "I'll send the vip passes to dad go collect them from home later today" he told me.
Just as I was about to reply the bathroom door opened revealing....
"Mason?" I asked confused at the sight before me. "Max I have to go speak later" I said into my phone then hung up.
"Hey Mai" Mason said as he stood with a towel wrapped around his lower body, awkwardly scratching the back of his neck. Oh my god his abs looked so good. I thought as I blushed slightly averting my gaze so he didn't notice me staring.
"Um did we uh.." I began "no no don't worry" Mason cut me off. "We drank loads it seemed to hit you more than me, I couldn't find John so I bought you up to my room while I went to go and find him, and you fell asleep. I didn't want to wake you" he explained smiling at me. "Oh I'm so sorry, thank u for taking care of me" I said smiling up at him. God I've met him once and already embarrassed myself In front of him and ended up in his bed. I thought to myself. Sighing I rolled out of bed, looking down I noticed I was not wearing my own clothes. Confused I looked up at Mason "did you change me?" I asked. "Well you threw up on your dress and went through my wardrobe until u found the 'perfect' t-shirt to steal" he replied using air quotes over the word perfect and chuckling at me. I went as red as a tomato. "I'm never drinking again" I groaned, sitting down on the bed and holding my head in my hands. "We will see how long that lasts" he shot back at me still chuckling to himself. So, I have embarrassed myself, thrown up in front of him and stolen his t-shirt. I thought, internally screaming at myself. Well I've fucked it now. I thought sighing to myself.
"Anyway Mai I have to go to training now, but I was wondering, if you're free, would you like to go to dinner with me later?" He asked nervously, whilst scratching the back of his neck again, looking at me for an answer. Oh my god!! Mason Mount just asked me on a date, wait.. is it a date or dinner as friends? I suddenly thought. "As in a date?" I asked him nervously. "Yes, if you want it to be, if not just as friends" he answered looking hopeful. "Of course Mason, I would love to go on a date with you" I beamed at him. "Great I'll pick you up at 7, send me your address" he told me smiling as he walked back into the bathroom to get changed. I grabbed my stuff and got ready to leave grabbing a pair of his trackies. "See you later Mase" I shouted. He came out of the bathroom and looked at me. "Nice trackies" he said as he winked at me. "See you tonight Mase" I said. "See you later darling" he replied as I walked out of the door smiling to myself.
As I began my journey home I got a text from John as I got into my Aston Martin.

I started up my Aston Martin, the engine roaring into life, and set off home. I still live with my dad, I can afford to live alone but I like the company, and because of who my family are it helps safety wise if a 22 year old girl, who is the 'princess' of the mafia isn't living alone.
"I'm home" I shouted as I went through the front door. "Darling, where were you? I was worried about you after what happened with Ben" my dad said as he hurried towards me, checking me for any signs of hurt.
"I'm fine dad, Alex and Josh got there just in time, sorry I stayed with John and his friends last night" I told him. "It's fine darling, just let me know where you are next time" he said sternly. "I will dad I promise" I said as I walked away into the kitchen.
"Hello there Mai" I heard a familiar voice come from the other side of the kitchen. "Oh my god! Maxy! I missed you so much!" I screamed as I ran towards him engulfing him in a big hug. "I thought you weren't back until Sunday!" I yelled still hugging him whilst jumping up and down. "I wanted to surprise you Mai!" Max replied to me squeezing me tighter.
"Awh, it's nice to have my two kids back together under my roof" my dad said as he walked into the kitchen. We both turned to smile at him. "Mai I also bought all the drivers with me they are upstairs with Alex and Josh" Max said as he smiled at me. The drivers all know about who my family are and what we do. My dad controls Formula One at the end of the day, being the head of the mafia and all, his money is very important to all the teams. Everyone is too scared to go against my dad or tell the public about who we really are. He's a softie to me and Max, but he has a high temper and can be ruthless when he needs to be, which is what makes him so successful.
Although all of the drivers know about us, some of the drivers have been involved in my family business, helping out with missions and giving us intel where needed.
I left the kitchen and began running up the stairs excited to see my boys. I pushed open the heavy white door to see them all sat on the sofas, talking and laughing with each other. Daniel noticed me first, running up to me screaming "how's my favourite Verstappen" he yelled as he picked me up and twirled me around. "Oi watch it Dan" Max's voice came from behind me. "Oh you know I'm the best one" I sassed back to him flipping my hair dramatically. "I've missed you Dani, my favourite partner in crime" I said to him as I winked. "I've missed you too beautiful" he said as he kissed my cheek.
I went round greeting all the other drivers, I'm closest to Dani, Lando and Charles as they have joined me on missions before. We sat talking for a while before I announced "right guys I have to get ready, I have a date" I said while smiling. "With who?" Daniel asked, a small frown appearing on his face. "Yeh with who" Max interjected, his protective manner shining through. "It's a secret" I winked as I left and walked to my room to get ready for my date with Mason, texting him my address as I walked upstairs.
I walked into my bathroom turning on the shower, waiting until it was burning hot before jumping in. I relaxed as the hot water hit my skin, sighing as I began my long shower routine.
Once i finished I hopped out of the shower, walking to my dressing room to decide what to wear. I decided on a cute peachy coloured dress with a slit on the leg. Then started on my make up, doing a light layer of foundation, concealing my under eyes and then contouring, before adding mascara to my top and bottom lashes. Once I was satisfied with my make up I started styling my hair. I clipped it up pulling out two strands to frame my face. Once I was happy with my look I headed downstairs to the lounge where all the boys now were.
As I walked in I heard wolf whistles coming from Dan. "Oh stop it you" I joked flapping my hand at him. "Take a picture of me pleaseeee I need to post on the gram!" I pleaded, as I handed my phone to Lando, who immediately went into full photography mode, getting all the angles, different backgrounds, and yelling out poses to me as I giggled at his silliness.
