Sasaki put a hand over his chest and sighed. He had thought of probably a thousand different scenarios of what could have happened at that moment when Rima left him. Most of them involved him miraculously fighting through the numbness and taking a hold of Rima in his arms tightly and not letting go of her until she changed her mind about leaving.
Sasaki chuckled lightly. If only that was how it really turned out.
He only wished that Rima was somewhere safe for the time being and not in the hands of a ghoul, having to fight for herself...

In a Shop located down a Alley...
A small hooded body made its way into a shop just down a alleyway. Looking around, the person could spot figure like things covered with a white sheet, about four of them, but the one she was looking for wasn't there. Stepping a little farther into the shop, the person put a cupped hand near the side of their mouth.
"Uta-san? Where are you? I need to talk to you."
It was quiet for a second, until the sound of slight rustling could be heard, then a sheet was ripped from one of the mannequins - or what the person thought was a mannequins. Hiding under the sheet, was none other than the person that they was looking for.
Said man was sitting on a stool, his cardigan that he always wore was hanging off his left shoulder and his half shaven head was tilted to the side.
"What do we need to talk about... Touka-chan? Did you need a new mask?"Uta asked.
Touka sighed, pulling down her hood and looking the not much older man in the eyes,"I need some information about someone..."
"And who would you need information about?"
Touka frowned and averted her eyes to the side, her fists clenching slightly,"About Aogiri Tree..."
"Do you not remember what Yomo-kun said... we must not mess with them if not necessary... I'm sure you remember what happened last time when someone decided to fight the Aogiri-"Uta as cut off.
"I-I know! But this time it's different. I'm not going to fight them, I just want information."Touka corrected.
Uta blinked at Touka a few times,"If I know it, then I'll be happy to tell you..."
Touka's face showed one of slight happiness before she quickly composed herself. Taking a deep breath, Touka began talking,"A few days ago... I went out looking for... somebody... that went missing. As I went closer the line that bordered the 20th and 19th wards, I happened to come across two members of Aogiri Tree. They were eating a human and were talking loudly so they weren't able to hear me."
"As I hid behind a concrete pillar, deciding if I should leave or not, one of them started talking. They were complaining about how they couldn't go on this high level retrieval mission to kidnap a girl..."Touka's explaining suddenly faltered,"... not just any girl... they were going to kidnap Hizake Rima..."
Touka barely saw the minuscule movement of Uta's eyes widening. Touka sighed,"... when I heard her name, I was going go ask them what they we're going to do with Rima, but a group of doves ran up out of nowhere. I was able to escape unnoticed, while they killed one who tried to fight back and took the other hostage.."Touka explained, going back go that night. Only if those doves hadn't shown up..
Uta put a finger to his chin in thought,"Hmm... that quiet a good amount of information you have already... why do you need mine?"
Touka huffed lightly,"Because. One, I don't know where they will attack and two, when they will attack. Don't you have an informant inside the Aogiri Tree? Please Uta-san, this is important..."Touka pleaded.
Uta was quiet for a minute before looking at one of his many sheeted mannequins,"From what I know... they were going to start the mission a week from four days ago."Uta stated, starting to play with cardigan sleeves, pulling at loose threads.
Touka nodded,"That only leaves..."Touka's eyes widened,"That only leaves 3 days!"
Uta nodded,"And I'm not quite sure if I heard him correctly... but they were planning on ambushing a member of member of the CCG where... Rima-chan... was being held..."
That information kind of shocked Touka. Rima was with the CCG! But she's ghoul! Touka thought surprised. She had known that Sasaki Haise was a member of the CCG - since she asked him why his friends - Mutsuki, Shirazu, Urie- called him teacher, and he explained he worked for the CCG - she just hadn't known that Rima worked with them too!
Touka swallowed hard,"Do you know which member?"
Uta thought for a moment,"Hmm... He only explained them as someone with white and black hair..." The male ghoul had a knowing look in his eyes.
Touka gasped. The only person she knew that had that kind of hair was, Rima's friend, Sasaki Haise. Touka frowned. Those pieces of dirt were holding Rima against her will in the CCG. Who knows what they did to Rima! She looked so happy all those few times she was at the cafe. Maybe that trash had something over her! Maybe they were using Rima's amnesia against her!?
Well, it didn't matter. After this... Rima will be coming back with her...
Touka bowed,"Thank you Uta-san..."
"No problem Touka-chan... Just don't get into to much trouble!"Touka nodded and turned around, heading towards the door,"Also! Tell Yomo-kun I said hi!"
Touka nodded again,"Good bye Uta-san.."
With Sasaki...
Sasaki plopped down on his office chair, running a hand through his hair. Akira stood quietly, arms crossed, a few feet away. They had just gotten back from a meeting with Arima about the whole attack from Aogiri Tree.
"Only three days left..."Sasaki mumbled. It was also three days left before Rima would be gone forever... maybe. But he wasn't going to voice that thought. Sasaki didn't want another Mado Punch from Akira because he was mopping around.
Sasaki had already gotten 4...
"Don't worry Sasaki. Everything will work out as it was planned..."Akira reassured. Sasaki nodded.
"I know. Arima was the one who designed the plan after all."Sasaki said,"I just thought that we would have found Rima by now, or at least something that told us where she could be."
Akira sat down on the spare chair and smiled lightly,"Hey Sasaki..."
Said man looked over,"Yeah?"
"Do you want to know something about Rima. The Rima from before I should say?"
Sasaki froze. Akira never really mentioned anything about Rima before. Only that they met because of Akira's first partner. But he wasn't going to give up any chance to learn more about Rima. So Sasaki nodded.
Akira chuckled silently,"Suzuya and Rima would always play tag around HQ when neither of them had much to do."Akira explained,"Suzuya was always a fast runner, so by the time Rima realised that she had found Suzuya he would always be yards away...."
Sasaki smiled lightly at the thought of 17 years old Rima playing hide and seek with a 19 years old Suzuya. It was not something you would expect from to grown young adults, especially in a building as strict as the CCG.
"What about Rima?"He asked, noticing that Akira had paused in her story telling.
Akira blinked before starting up again,"But to make up for that loss in speed... Rima was one hell of a hider. Suzuya could never find Rima half the time. She would use her small body to hide in small places until Suzuya passed. She was one smart tag player..."
Sasaki started to imagine all the funny places Rima would hide just to not get tagged by Suzuya. He came up with some pretty funny places, so funny that he unconsciously laughed out loud.
Akira smiled lightly. She was glad to get Sasaki out of one of his moods. Her hand was getting tired of delivering Mado Punch's.
Sasaki wiped the corner of his eyes, looking over to Akira."So what does that story have to do with the plan or any of this really?"He asked.
"It has nothing to do with the plan. It has to do with Rima and assuring you that she is okay."Akira said,"Where ever Rima is, where ever she has gone to... I can assure you that Rima is safe. Rima knows where danger is and though she may not be able to defend herself well, she knows how to hide and escape from danger..."
Sasaki took what Akira said in, and the more he thought about it, the more it gave him hope.
Rima did evade the CCG and Aogiri Tree for two years....
But it worried him too.
Rima did leave to find Aogiri Tree...
Sasaki only hoped that Aogiri Tree were good hiders too...
