These past few days has been tiring the hell out of Namae.
Making reports, printing documents, transferring files and checking progress.
'Just a little bit more and I'll literally quit this effing company.' She slumped on her bed.
The heroine was acting weird.
In the original novel, Namae was the one who tried to stick around her.
But now that she started avoiding her ever since Namae knew about the novel, it was Kana who's trying to get close to her now.
'How weird.'
Namae closed her eyes and started sleeping.
*Beep* *Beep* *Beep*
*CRASH*
Namae finally lost it and threw the alarm straight at the floor.
It was broken into pieces since she put enormous strength when she threw it.
"I've been too lenient on you this past week." She muttered as she picked up the broken pieces and put it on the trash can.
She looked at the calendar and saw a red circle on Saturday.
"Urghh.." Namae rubbed her temple.
It was obvious that it's already that day.
The day of the banquet.
The party starts at 6:30 pm and it was required to not be late.
Namae checked her phone and it was still 6 am in the morning.
Her eye bags clearly stated that she's not getting enough sleep.
Thank goodness there was no work whole day since they're just having the party.
Namae slumped on her bed once again her eyes heavily shut as she slept soundly.
...
"Haaaaawh."
Namae yawned loudly.
It was already 4 pm and when she woke up, she felt like heaven surrounded her with angels.
It truly was a good rest.
*Ding!*
A notification popped.
[Manager: Don't forget to wear your best dress women. And for the men, wear your suits properly.]
[Assistant: Noted.]
[Kana: Thank you Manager!]
[Colleague #1: I'm sure Kana-san will look beautiful tonight.]
[Kana: Thank you...]
[Colleague #2: I'm excited to see our visitors! They said three special men are coming.]
[Colleague #1: OMG I gotta dress myself up prettily.]
The gc was full of cheesy talks.
The manager said to wear their best dress.
"Ha. Hahaha." Namae spurted out a chuckle.
'Well f'ck.'
She didn't have a dress to wear.
*Swoosh*
Namae opened her closet and inside it were all casual clothes, pajamas and spare uniforms for work.
She forgot that she didn't have a single dress. Even just one dress.
It was almost 5 pm and she had to rush out and prepare herself right now.
*Ding* *Dong*
Someone rung the bell.
*Clack*
"Yes?" Namae slightly opened the door.
"Is Ms. Sei Namae here?" A person carrying a parcel said.
"Yes it's me."
"Ah, a parcel was delivered for you. No need to pay ma'am." He handed the delivery to her.
"Huh? Whom did it say it's from?"
"Unknown. Thanks for your time ma'am." The delivery man walked away.
Namae walked inside her room and opened the parcel.
She doesn't know it this means bad omen or luck but a dress was delivered to her.
The dress was surprisingly beautiful. It was white and the design is really nice.
There was no time.
She quickly changed her clothes since she already took a bath after waking up.
She wore the dress, combed her hair and done.
Namae looked at the mirror.
That long black silky hair and bright dewy black eyes were something to look at.
If she was to doll herself up, she'd look gorgeous as hell.
But she didn't mind putting make up on since she was tired. She then took her bag and rode a bus towards the company.
After few minutes, she arrived at the place.
"Sei-san!" Someone called out to her.
"Ito-san?"
Kana was running towards her.. beautifully.
'Ah, now this is what you call a female lead halo. No wonder they fell for her desperately.'
"Let's go together." She clinged her arm to yours.
Going together with her would mean that Namae will only make her shine more.
Namae will fade into her background and not get noticed.
That would be a good idea.
And thus the party began.

"Ito-san, you really look beautiful!"
"What lipstick did you use Ito-san? Your lips are so glossy!"
"You're so dazzling Ito-san!"

She was like a puny pebble beside a flower.
'I hope this night finishes quickly.'
