I'm bored Hearthstone unexpectedly signed one day Want to make something?
"I guess so? Sure." Blitzen replied "What do you want to make?"
Cookies The sign for cookies was one hand cutting a circle on the palm of the other like cutting cookie dough (I don't know my but the word cookie looks so weird to me right now)
"Okay then wanna go get some cookie dough at the store then?"
Hearth shook his head and insisted they make them from scratch.
They went into their tiny kitchen.
Go find a recipe online Hearthstone told Blitzen before searching through their fridge for ingredients. He pulled out what he assumed they would need. Anything else?
Blitz consulted the recipe. "We need vanilla extract"
Hearth searched their pantry before giving up and turning back placing a small vile on the counter. We have almond no vanilla.
"Eh we can just use that, should end up pretty much the same."
Hearth nodded and pulled out a bowl to use. First? He prompted.
"In a large bowl whisk together the sugar, salt and butter."
The elf did as he said and all went smoothly until they got to "Whisk in the egg and vanilla, beating until light ribbons fall off the whisk and remain for a short while before falling back into the mixture."
"What does that even mean?" Blitzen muttered reading the instructions again.
Hearth shrugged We can just stir it. It will be fine.
Blitzen took a turn putting the ingredients together until the batter was completed. The two of them placed globs of the dough on a baking sheet and placed it in the oven to bake.
They left the room to wait and turned on a movie to watch. At one point the subtitles were inaccurate which Blitzen made a very big deal out of.
While Blitz ranted Hearth smelled the faint scent of burning. His eyes widened with realization.
Cookies. He signed dashing into the other room. Blitz followed close behind.
They practically ripped the treats out of the oven, luckily they were only slightly burnt.
After they cooled off the two tasted them.
"They taste almond-y" Blitzen pointed out.
Hearth nodded That would be the almond extract.
"Right"
They... aren't terrible.
"Yeah they are."
They are.
The two made eye contact and smiled.
"At least we had fun" Blitz shrugged.
And I'm gonna end this now because I don't know where to end it. Sorry this one is super short and cringy I have no ideas.
