Lily's POV:
I began to shake my leg while looking at James drink his pumpkin juice.
It was our lunch break and we finished early. So we were killing time in the common room.
"So..." I cleared my throat to get his attention, "I had a thought-"
"Oh no."
"I swear it's a good one this time!"
He sighed and got up from the floor to sit next to me. "Go on."
I bit inside my lip and planned the right words in my head before saying them. "It's been two weeks since we found out about Nico and Teddy, right?" He nodded. "And... I tried to ask him more about their relationship but he is not telling me anything!"
"And what are you planning to do about that?"
I lowered my voice. "To- to follow them? They are going to Hogsmeade this-"
"You want to spy them?" James' loud voice made me jump.
"I'm his best friend! We tell each other everything! I, for example, told him about us first. But he isn't giving me any information about his date!"
He looked at me for a long time. "Never mind, that sound fun. I'm in."
I smiled and did a high five with him. "Okay, great. I need you to be ready on Saturday exactly at 10 am. We're going to Hogsmeade."

After dinner, I was helping Fred his Potions homework.
"Come on, Freddie." I sighed and grabbed his homework one more time. "Look, I told you I would help you out. But that doesn't mean that I will do everything for you. You have to find a way to learn this on your own."
"I know, I know." He opened a random page from his book and started skimming the paragraphs. "It's just so confusing and boring."
"That's how all the lessons are." I looked over to the sofa and realized James was listening to us. "Muggle studies, math, potions, DADA, herbology, astronomy, transfigurations, charms, history of magic... you want me to go on?"
He stood up and sat across from us.
"Can I help you, James?"
He looked at the open books in front of us and nodded. "Actually." He got up again and walked over to the bookshelf. He got a thick brown book and opened a random page. "I don't understand this."
"Well, you help him, and I will go find Alice to help me study." Fred closed his book and put it to his bag.
"What?" I looked at him. "We weren't even done studying?"
"Yeah, but..." He touched the beck of his neck and sighed. "I kind of also want to go to the kitchen. For a small snack break."
I shook my head left and right and leaned my back on the chair. "Fine. But next time, you're going to take this more seriously."
He smiled and left the common room.
I looked at James and showed him the empty chair next to me. "I'm all yours sir."
He raised his eyebrow at me with a smirk and sat down.
"How can I help you?" I grabbed the book from his hand and read the title of it.
"It's about potions." He quickly answered.
"Okay? What part do you not understand?"
He looked at the page and looked back at me. "I don't understand any of this."
Oh boy...
"That's... fine. We will... figure it out."
I looked at the first sentence and started reading it out loud.
"The right way to take care of a-" I looked closer to the page. "James," I sighed in disappointment.
"What?"
"This is a herbology book for- You don't even learn herbology."
He gave me an annoying smile and closed the book. "I know."
I leaned back on the chair and watched him watch me.
"I heard Emma now has a crush on Nico."
I scoffed and closed my eyes.
"What's so funny?"
"It's just," I opened my eyes and pulled my knees to my chest. "She's dumber than a pile of unscented hand soaps."
I tried to make eye contact with James while he started laughing.
"What I'm serious!"
He looked at my eyes and tilted his head.
I tilted my head the same way and looked at him.
He moved his head to the other side and I did the same. He furrowed his eyebrows and so did I.
He smiled and held up his hand and put it on his head. I did exactly the same and he let out a small laugh.
After following his moves, I was up from my chair, holding half of my hair up with left hand, while my right hand was holding a book and trying to balance it.
His book dropped first so I shrugged my shoulders and let go of my book. We sat on the sofa and put our feet on the table. He took off his robe and made a ball with it before putting it on top of his head.
I sighed and did the same with my robe.
He took of his tie and wrapped it around his head. I took of mine -which most of the girls normally don't wear, but I personally like it. It matches my skirt-, and wrapped it around my ponytail.
He took out his tongue and touched the tip of his nose, my one didn't.
He laughed once again so I had to fake laugh.
He suddenly opened three more buttons of his shirt and I hit his arm.
"Ow!"
"I'm not doing that."
"Oh come on," he was talking with a sarcastic voice and I knew he wasn't serious. "The first two is always undone anyway."
I hit him one more time and his robe dropped from his head.
I was done with playing so I took the robe and tie off of my head.
Younger group of Gryffindors laughing from somewhere behind us distracted me. I looked at them laughing to one of their friends and didn't realize James coming closer to my friends.
"Hi."
I accidentally hit him with my knee while jumping up.
"Oops"
I sat straight and looked at his stomach. "Sorry. But don't come that close to me with out a warning!"
He coughed and leaned back.
I sighed and felt bad for hitting him.
But it's not like I did it on purpose! It was him who-
Now I feel bad. Great.
"Sorry. Are you okay?"
He doesn't look okay.
I mean he always looks fine, more than fine- but that's not what I mean!
"You just kneed me." He coughed again. I opened all the buttons of his shirt with one move and grabbed my wand with my free hand.
"You look fine."
He grinned. "I know."
"If you don't shut it, next hit won't be an accident."
I sat back and put my wand back to my pocket.
Drama queen.
"Can I get a kiss?"
"No, I'm good." I sat up to go back to my room. "It's getting late. Good night."
I put my tie around my neck and let it hang like that, while holding my robe with my free hand.
He appeared behind me and started tapping my shoulders like I was a drum or something.
"Good night, love"
He jumped up while giving a small kiss on my neck, right under my ear, as if he was shorter than me.
"Stop putting whole your bloody weight on me and jumping up and down like a monkey." I had to try extra hard to balance myself while he continued jumping up and down.
I managed to make it to the stairs and turned to look at James.
"Good night."
I kissed right next to his lips and he turned his head to 'correct' the kiss.

James' POV:
I saw Fred watching me climb up the stairs with his shoulder leaned against the wall.
He had a disgusted expression on his face. "Yuck. I think I understand how Albus feels now."
I rolled my eyes and threw my robe at him and he managed to catch it with one hand. "Haha. You're so funny."
"I know I am."
