It has been a week after the dinoball match and it was night at pteranodon terrace and everybody was asleep and as usual there were no predators who came to the pteranodon nest not because they were not interested in the pteranodons but rather because buddy was a t rex and he was guarding the pteranodon family who adopted him
Buddy was just enjoying his slumber as he was lying on the ground near the nest
And then he heard a roar in the distance that was enough to wake him up
Buddy opened his eyes and looked around as he got up
He sniffed the area and smelled something peculiar and unnatural cause whatever this scent was it didn't smell like a daspletosaurus which is the only other big carnivore around here
Buddy was cautious about this and decided to wander off to find what that roar came from and he kept sniffing the area but he was trying to keep as quiet as possible as to not wake up his family and terry who was sleeping nearby
Buddy then followed the scent and he walked down into the beach
Buddy didn't see anything at the beach but then he kept looking and then he noticed something on the sand
They were hard to make out but buddy knew that they were footprints and they had three toes
Buddy then sniffed the footprint and now he got a clear scent on where this creature might be at
Buddy kept following the scent until it eventually led him to the nearby cave which he hasn't been to in a long time since his childhood
Buddy sniffed the air again and not only was the scent even more stronger this time but he also heard something
A growl
A very angry sounding growl coming from inside the cave
Buddy wasn't scared by this after all he fought against a pteranodon who killed his parents thats enough for people to say he wasn't easy to scare so buddy walked into the cave
It was quite dark in the cave so buddy turned on his fire powers and he had fire glowing from his mouth and as soon as he lit his fire up
Three hyper hybrid allosaurus were hissing at him
Buddy quickly shot his fire cannon fire balls at one of them and unlike the hyper hybrid t rex this one actually died from it
The other two hyper hybrids rammed buddy in the chest but because he was bigger than the two of them he barely budged and then he pushed them away
Buddy's eyes started glowing yellow and his stripes as well as he was charging his flamethrower
Buddy then shot his flamethrower fire breath at the two hyper hybrids and they were burnt to ash
"seems like the hyper hybrid t rex was more durable than these things" buddy thought
Buddy might have burnt two of them to ash but the first one he killed was intact but has a nasty burn in its chest
Buddy didn't notice it but the sun was rising up and he wanted to show the others what happened so he started to take the corpse of the hyper hybrid but was cautious since he wanted to make sure if it was dead or not
MEANWHILE
The sun rose up as the pteranodon family were waking up along with terry
Mrs. Pteranodon was the first to wake up along with her husband
"good morning" Mrs. Pteranodon said smiling at her husband
Mr. Pteranodon gave her a kiss on the cheek
Don yawned as he got up and tiny and shiny woke up shortly after he did
"ah finally its morning i had quite a good sleep last night" shiny said
Tiny had a grin on her face
"was it because you were dreaming about him?" tiny asked jokingly
"who's him?" shiny asked
"oh you know who im talking about sis cause his name starts with a G" tiny said as she giggled
Shiny rolled her eyes
"how many times do i have to tell people that gilbert is not my boyfriend?" shiny asked
"i bet you wouldn't mind having him as a boyfriend though" tiny said
Shiny blushed and she covered her blushing with her hands
Terry walked over to them
"hey have any of you guys know where buddy went?" terry asked
Mr. Pteranodon's eyes widened as he looked around and saw that his adopted son wasn't where he was usually resting
"maybe he's just fishing" Mrs. Pteranodon said
"but buddy never fishes without us these days" don said
Tiny was very concerned
"maybe there's a chance he went savage again but hopefully thats not the case" tiny said
"sweetheart its okay buddy wont go back to that part of his life im pretty sure he's beyond that now" Mrs. Pteranodon
And then stomping was heard and don turned around and saw buddy as he had the corpse of the hyper hybrid allosaurus in his mouth
Buddy then dropped the corpse
"sorry if i made any of you guys worry" buddy said
Tiny then flew over to him
"where were you? You never wander off at night" tiny said concerned
"well you see this is the exact reason i woke up" buddy said pointing at the hyper hybrid that was burnt
"wait is that a hyper hybrid?" tiny asked
"yes and there were two more but i burned the other ones away but this one is still intact cause i only used my fire cannon on it and not my flamethrower" buddy explained
Terry walked over
"looks like an allosaurus by the looks of it but how did it get here?" terry asked
"who knows how? The problem is we really need to find out where these things really came from in order to put an end to them" buddy said
Tiny spoke up
"i agree with buddy its best that we find out where they really come from so we can get rid of them all" tiny said
The rest of the pteranodon family went over to them
"hey buddy? Did they hurt you?" Mr. Pteranodon asked
Despite him only being his adopted son mr. Pteranodon cares for buddy as much as his other children
"dad the only good hit they got on me was a ram to my chest and even then that didn't do much cause they were smaller than me" buddy said
Terry then was thinking of something
"hey buddy? Remember that island you mentioned where valkyrie apparently was?" terry asked
"yeah why?" buddy asked
"we need to go there cause these things look a bit like valkyrie judging from their skin and maybe they are connected to him somehow we have got to find out if they are connected to him" terry said
"honestly thats a good idea cause we need to learn how these things were made" tiny said
"but first we need to find out where exactly this island is located" terry said
"i know where to find answers cause keenan mentioned that its far off from here maybe he knows where its located" buddy said
"okay go to keenan and see if you can find out anything" terry said
Buddy nodded and ran off to keenan's home
MEANWHILE IN THE FOREST OF PTERANODON TERRACE
Keenan and his mother were eating leafs because despite them looking like carnivores they are actually omnivores because they dont have teeth
And nearby dennis was picking berries from trees and was eating them
Suddenly stomping was heard and dennis being keenan's friend ran to keenan and kendall because he thought a predator was coming
"keenan? You there?" buddy called out
"phew false alarm its just buddy" dennis said
Buddy then walked over to them
"sup buddy? Why are you here?" Keenan asked
"well i wanted to ask you about that island where valkyrie was" buddy said
Keenan was surprised about this because the first time he mentioned that island buddy said not to go there
"why so?" keenan asked
"well you see i fought three hyper hybrid allosaurus earlier in the cave and terry thinks that valkyrie is connected to the hyper hybrids somehow and maybe we can stop them" buddy said
"alright i'll go with you and tell the others" keenan said
"im coming too" dennis said
And then they all walked to the pteranodon nest and even kendall followed them there
LATER
Buddy keenan kendall and dennis arrived at the pteranodon nest and the pteranodon family and terry were waiting
Terry walked over to them
"so where exactly is that island located?" terry asked
"well you see i dont really know cause they said that this island is near another island called hawaii and i dont know where hawaii is" keenan said
Terry then knew where to find that island
"kauai" terry said
Everybody was confused
"im sorry but what now?" don asked
"kauai its an island near hawaii and its the only island out of all those islands that are filled with dinosaurs" terry said
"so we go there then?" shiny asked
"yes" terry responded
"then we need to go now before more hyper hybrids attack the dinos on that island"buddy said
"agreed and you should get your other friends as well and also i forgot to tell you after the dinoball match a day later your friends leroy and lily lambeosaurus asked me to take them to the tree of elements and now both of them have nature powers" terry said
Buddy smiled
"looks like we should bring them along as well that is if dad's okay with their dad larry coming along" buddy said
"dont worry buddy me and larry dont argue anymore" Mr. Pteranodon
"uh huh sure dad i'll have to see for myself later on" buddy said as he went to the lambeosaurus family
MEANWHILE WITH THE LAMBEOSAURUS FAMILY
Leroy and lily were practicing their powers so they can used to them and they were first practicing on healing
Lily was healing a bunch of dead flowers nearby and when she heeled them its like they never died
Meanwhile leroy was healing a dead tree and once he healed it all the leafs grew back
Larry and his wife lorraine watched as their children were testing their powers
"hey guys are you two tired?" larry asked
"oh um no actually we're not dad" leroy said
then stomping was heard and buddy appeared out of the trees and he made leroy jump
"ah! You nearly gave me a heart attack!" leroy shouted
"oops sorry about that" buddy said as leroy calmed down
"oh hi buddy what brings you here?" lorraine asked
"well you see there's an island out there filled with dinosaurs and there are these purple monsters there that are threatening those dinosaurs and i thought since leroy and lily have powers now they should join my team and help us save those dinos" buddy said
Leroy was surprised by this and lily let out a little squeal
"hmm let me think for a sec" larry said
Buddy waited as larry was thinking
"you know what? I think its good to let them join your team since your team is all about helping people i think its good that they join it to protect others" larry said
Lily ran over to buddy excited
"eek! So like what do we do? And how do we do it? And also who's the leader?" lily asked excitedly
"well im the leader and dont worry you'll only need to take orders from me if we are doing a plan or fighting against something" buddy said
"i think its best if we come too just to watch over leroy and lily is that okay with you buddy?" lorraine asked
"well you two are their parents why shouldn't it be okay?" buddy said
"then its settled we're going too!" larry said
LATER
Buddy walked back to the nest with leroy lily lerry and lorraine following him and when he got back to the nest he noticed that kiera and daphne daspletosaueus were there as well
"oh hey kiera and daphne" buddy said
"no need to explain anything cause keenan already explained it for us" kiera said
"so like we are gonna fight these monsters that are terrorizing an island while also trying to find out how they were made?" daphne asked
"yep thats the plan" buddy said
"so since everybody is now here we should go to the station now" terry said as they left for the station
LATER AT THE STATION
The pteranodon family and lambeosaurus family and buddy keenan kendall kiera daphne and terry were waiting at the station for the train to come
As they were waiting larry was talking to Mr. Pteranodon
"so your boy really has grown up a fair bit hasn't he?" larry asked referring to buddy
"yeah but hey he's still buddy and he's still my son even if he's just adopted" Mr. Pteranodon said
Suddenly a whistle was heard and then the dinosaur train appeared out of the tunnel and it was fixed now
The dinosaur train stopped at the station
"all aboard!" mr. Conductor said
"morning sonny" terry said
"terry dont call me that in public" mr. Conductor said
"well it is your real name" terry said
"fair point and also why are there so many of you here?" mr. Conductor asked
"we'll tell you on the way" buddy said as everybody got onto the train and luckily for them there were extra observation cars for large carnivores and buddy terry and daphne got on them
The train then left the station
"okay so mind telling me why are there so many of you today?" mr. Conductor said
"well you see there's this island where the hyper hybrids are at the moment and we want to check it out and see whats going on there and we also want to find out whether or not valkyrie is there and also buddy fought three hyper hybrids earlier" shiny explained
"i see no wonder you need so many dinos since after what you guys have told me about those things you're gonna need more than one dino for something like a hyper hybrid t rex" mr. Conductor said
"and also we may need more dinos so after you drop us off at troodon town can you get tank annie and valerie for us?" buddy asked
"why sure i mean if you're dealing with an island that has multiple hyper hybrids it really does matter how many members you have" mr. Conductor said
LATER
The train then rolled into troodon town and stopped and the team went to the station
"alright and now time to get the others here so we can discuss where to go" mr. Conductor said as the train left to find annie tank and valerie
The team then walked around troodon town a bit as they waited for the train to come back
meanwhile at the house where gilbert lives he was reading a book about how to respect the person you're in love with
"hey? Why are you reading stuff like that?" winter asked
"no particular reason" gilbert said
"gilbert im literally in your head i can read your thoughts if i wanted to and now i just found out that you're reading it so you can prepare for the day that shiny eventually becomes your girlfriend" winter said
Gilbert sighed
"look its not easy being in a relationship with somebody who's not your species and i thought it would have been easier but that doesn't mean im gonna cut my relastionship with shiny cause she's a great girl and a great friend in general" gilbert said
"you know gilbert even if she is not a troodon its not everyday you meet a girl like that especially in your teen years" winter said
Gilbert smiled
"in my personal opinion it doesn't really matter if others judge us cause i only want shiny to be happy and plus i said it myself she didn't need to be a troodon in order for me to like her" gilbert said
And then mrs. Conductor came into gilbert's room
"oh grandma what is it?" gilbert asked
"well your friends are here to see you and they said its something urgent" mrs. Conductor said
"very well then" gilbert said as he got up
"and also how's winter?" mrs. Conductor asked
"tell her im doing great" winter said
"he's doing great" gilbert said
Gilbert then walked towards the front door and opened it and saw his friends outside
"so guys whats up?" gilbert asked
"well you see we are going to an island where a bunch of hyper hybrids are and possibly valkyrie and we just wanted to ask you if you can come along" shiny said
"why sure" gilbert said
Shiny blushed slightly cause even though she and gilbert weren't in an official relationship she blushes sometimes by just gilbert being around her since she still has a large crush on him
"and also mr. Conductor is getting annie tank and valerie and once they are here we can discuss where exactly we are going" buddy said
"alrighty then" gilbert said
LATER
The team were waiting near the station for the train to come back
"so like you two have powers now?" gilbert asked leroy and lily
"well yeah we have nature powers i have gotten a bit used to them even for just a week but lily is still getting used to them" leroy said
"but hey they are pretty awesome!" lily said
And then a whistle was heard as the dinosaur train arrived at the station as annie and tank were in the observation cars and valerie was in the passenger coach
All three of them got out of the train and onto the station
"whats up team?" annie said in a very enthusiastic voice
"wow haven't heard you this enthusiastic" buddy said
"im in a very good mood today" annie said
Tank walked over to buddy
"hey tank so have you been working on your powers lately?" buddy asked
"uh huh im used to them now" tank said
Valerie the walked over
"considering how urgent this is i suggest we start discussing what do to here" valerie said
"alright so we found out that the hyper hybrids are on an island named kauai and possibly because of rumors valkyrie is there too" buddy said
Buddy noticed that terry and mr. Conductor were talking about something but buddy couldn't hear them and continued discussing with his team
"so you want us to go there because valkyrie might be there?" valerie asked
"well if he is there we have to go before other dinosaurs get hurt or worse he could destroy the entire ecosystem there" buddy said
"i agree because if there's anything i hate its valkyrie" annie said
Mr. Conductor walked over to the team along with terry
"hey uh guys i have something to tell you that terry just told me" mr. Conductor said
"and what is that?" buddy asked
Mr. Conductor took a breath and spoke
"apparently the time tunnel isn't really a time tunnel" mr. conductor said
Buddy and the others were shocked because of this
"wait what? What do mean the time tunnel isn't a time tunnel mr. The conductor?" don asked
"well you see guys the tunnels were actually portals made by the elemental guardians for fast travel and another thing" mr. Conductor said
"and what may that other thing be uncle?" gilbert asked
"we're not in the cretaceous in fact the other creatures we have met are not in the triassic or jurassic" mr. Conductor said
Gilbert was shocked by this as he just realized all the time he spent studying time tunnels in the academy was just a waste
"wait if we're not in the cretaceous or jurassic or triassic then where are we?" gilbert asked
"in a year called 2021 where its been 65 million years after the cretaceous" mr. Conductor said
Gilbert's mouth dropped
"65 million years? Its been that long and we never even noticed" gilbert said
"maybe its because you guys never went to the rest of the islands in the world thats why you thought it was still the mesozoic" terry said
"could be" gilbert said
"wait so if we are 65 million years after the cretaceous and the time tunnel is not a time tunnel then what do we call it?" tiny asked
"i vote for the travel tunnel" dennis said raising his right arm
"honestly that name kinda makes sense" buddy said
"so i guess we should re-brand the time tunnels to travel tunnels now then" mr. Conductor said
"well after we go to investigate kauai" buddy said
"of course so when are we leaving?" mr. Conductor asked
"well can we go now? Just asking" buddy said
"well we cant let those monsters kill all those dinos so i guess we really do need to go now but first we need info on where kauai is exactly" mr. Conductor said
Gilbert then spoke up
"we have actually developed a new device recently that will allow us to choose where we will go like for example if a train went into a tunnel it will go where the device is set so all we need is to set the device to wherever kauai is" gilbert said
"where is this device exactly?" shiny asked
"its basically installed in all the trains now" gilbert said
"so should we go now or?" keenan asked
"okay but im just gonna talk to my mother since just in case if we dont come back tomorrow the train will be replaced temporarily by engine 6" mr. Conductor said as he went to mrs. Conductor
LATER
after mr. Conductor went to mrs. Conductor he went back to the station to see that everybody was now on the train
"bless my scales and feathers you guys were ahead of me" mr. Conductor said as he got onto the train
"and also with terry's help we were able to program the device to the location of kauai" gilbert
"well no time to loose now, all aboard!" mr. Conductor said as the train left the station and into a tunnel
But what they didn't notice was a hyper hybrid pteranodon was spying on them the whole time
MEANWHILE
the hyper hybrid pteranodon flew to kauai and landed on a mountain there and another pteranodon approached it
"my lord the team are on their way here and so is that t rex you mentioned" the hyper hybrid said
"good now i'll finally have a rematch between me and that stupid child just you wait buddy its only a matter of time now" the pteranodon said

Author's Notes: okay now the reason why this story is actually set in modern day is because it wouldn't make much sense if this was set in the cretaceous because of the fact they have trains and tech and also the western interior sea doesn't exist anymore but the pteranodon family thought they were on it but in reality they are actually living on an island that is near where the western interior sea used to be and this kauai island is different to the real one cause this kauai has no humans on it and also forget everything i said about there being more episodes about the cenezoic cause those were just me fooling the readers into thinking this was prehistoric times and by the way terry is still 47 even if it's 2021 and let's just say his birthday hasn't come yet and that's why he's not 48
