✨Michael's POV✨
I wake up to the sun blazing in my face i check my phone but i have no messages I'm not surprised it's been a couple of weeks since i told Rose the truth about Brad and North Yankton she said she needed time to process it all i guess i should be thankful she didn't leave me i pull myself up and go to the bathroom. As i look in the mirror i jump at the sight of myself "I look like shit" i say to reflection "Yeah you smell like shit too" a voice says making me jump i turn around and see Trevor sitting on my toilet i roll my eyes "What the fuck man" i ask him flinging my arms in the air
"What?" Trevor asks me just staring at me "Um a little privacy would be nice" he tells me pointing the door "Yeah whatever" i say as i walk out i go back to my bedroom to get dressed i throw on the first thing i can see i walk out of my closet to be greeted by Trevor again "T have you never heard of knocking?" He shakes his head to say no i sigh "Why are you even here? I thought Lester was putting the final touches together ready to go next week" i tell Trevor checking my phone "Rose isn't home so i thought I'd come to bother you instead" he tells me with a smile i look at him "What do you mean isn't home? Where has gone?" He shrugs his shoulders i know he's lying "Whatever then you want some breakfast?" I ask Trevor since I have hear his belly grumble "Sure i could go for breakfast"
✨Rose's POV✨
"Hey sorry I'm late traffic was a nightmare and since i cant drive its even more annoying" i tell the man sat across from me he shakes his head "No it's fine.. please sit" he points to the chair in front of him "So, have you got any information for me?" The man nods "Yes, do you want know what i found out?" I nod eagerly "Please" he opens his big book "Well your father change his last name to Richards, he owns one of the biggest movie companies here in LS called 'Richards Majestic Productions'" he tells me I'm shocked he's the maker of some of my favourite movies how i could not tell? "Do you want me to carry on?" I nod
"He currently has the on sets of dementia, which means his memory will deteriorate and his memories will be forgotten" i feel a pain in my chest "How bad is it now?" I ask eagerly, the man flips a few pages "Right now about the past 15/20 years are just a blur to him" i sigh feeling mad at myself all these years I've felt nothing but hatred towards the man and he can't even remember what he's done
"So where is he?" I ask he reads a piece of paper "It's known to people that he spends most of his time at him with his son Lazlow, which is your half brother i suspect you already knew that" i nod "It was actually I'm who told me about dad in the first place" i explain "Well if you want to see him again i suggest you do it pretty soon, i have his address written down for you" he hands me the paper with the address on it I'm hesitant but i take it "Thank you so much for all your help it means a lot" i say shaking the mans hand "Reuniting famines it what i do Miss Jones" he explains smiling i hand him an envelope with his payment in there "Its all there, feel free to check" i say he hakes his head "No need, i trust you"
The man walks away not looking back i turn my attention to the piece of paper in my hand i sigh i take my phone out and call yet another cab if I don't do this now i wont ever do it, I don't wait long for my taxi and before i know I'm stood outside the gates of my fathers mansion i press the buzzer on the gate "Hello?" The familiar voice of Lazlow says "Hi, it's Rose" i say he doesn't say anything back maybe he didn't want me here? Just as I'm about to walk away the buzzer sounds and the gate opens i see Lazlow stood the otherside "Where you going? You just got here sis" he says i turn around with a smile i walk through the gates to him
"It's really nice to finally have you here but how did you get the address?" He asks me "I hired a PI, I'm sorry if it upsets you but with dads history i had to make sure you wants lying to me" he nods "No i totally get that i would have done the same" i sigh "So dementia, pretty nasty" i say trying to make conversation so it doesn't feel awkward he sighs "Yeah his memory gets worse but he still remembers us" he informs me we walk through the front door we are greeted by housekeepers who take my coat "Thank you" i say her the little women who smiles at me before we walk into the living room Lazlow stops me "Take a deep breath" he tells me
I do as he says and we carry on walking through the house a picture catches my eyes it's our first and only family photo i stop to admire it "This was a week before he left us" i explain Lazlow rubs my backs to make me feel better "You look so happy" he says i nod "So can i see the man of the hour now?" I ask Lazlow laughs and we carry on walking as we walk close the the room i can hear music the song from my favourite movie playing Lazlow walks in the first i stay behind "Who was at the door son?" I hear his voice i take a deep breath and step into the room my eyes are instantly met with his "Rose?" He asks walking closer to me
"Hi dad" i say tearing up "Oh my baby girl, I've missed you where have you been? How is your mother doing?" He asks i smile since he doesn't know she passed away a few years ago he notices my belly "Is that my grandchild in there?" He points and asks i nod finally letting the tears run down my cheeks "Grandson" i tell him he pulls me into a big hug we both cry to together he doesn't let me go for five minutes I don't care, this my dad and I'm so glad to have him back "Rose whatever I done for you to not see me all these years I'm so sorry i love you" he tells me i feel a weight lift off my shoulders "I forgive you always dad" i tell him crying a little more now
He pulls away from the hug music still playing in the background "Dance with me?" He ask holding his hand out i laugh wiping my eyes "You're lucky my mother taught me how to dance" i tell him taking his hand we dance carefully and slowly Lazlow taking pictures as dad spins me round i laugh and Lazlow catches the perfect father daughter picture any girl could ask for after the song finishes we stop dancing he kisses my hand "Stay for dinner won't you?" He asks me i look at Lazlow who is just smiling at me "Sure" i smile at them both "Is the father of grandchild in your life?" I nod "Yes but I'm mad at him for something" he shakes his head "Nonsense life's to short to be mad at the person you love give him a call i want to meet him"
I nod and smile i get my phone out my pocket "Excuse me" i say walking to the front door i dial Michaels number
Rose, I've been waiting for you to call I'm so sorry fo-
Mike i forgive, if that didn't happen we wouldn't be where are today i love you and I don't want to be without you, we need you in out lives
I love you too Rose i will never lie to you again
I have something to ask you, my father wants you to come for dinner
Your father? I didn't know he was here in LS
He's been here all this time and i have a feeling you'll like him
Text me the address I'll go home and get changed, you want anything bringing?
Can you bring me one of my maxi dresses please

Rose ends the phone call and returns to her father and brother "He's just going home to get changed i asked him to bring me something that's a little cooler then this" i say pointing to my all black outfit
✨Michael's POV✨
I quickly drive home i run upstairs to get a little quick shower in, i shave carefully and get changed into a shirt and some suit pants i have to make a good impression i grab a dress for Rose my eyes trail off my bedside draw i walk over and open it i pull out the engagement ring that hides away in there i sigh thinking if this is ever going to happen then its tonight.
I leave the house locking it after me so Trevor doesn't sneak back in and off i go its a short drive into the hills i pull at this big beautiful gated house my eyes widen "Wow" i say I press the buzzer and the gate opens I'm greeted at the front door by Rose and Lazlow? Fucking great "Mike, this is Lazlow, my half brother" Rose tells me my jaw drops half brother? Oh shit "Is there a problem Mike?" I snap back to reality i look at Lazlow who looks nervous "No I'm all good" Rose smiles she shows me inside i see a photo of a man who i recognise as Solomon Richards the man who has produced some of my favourite movies ever
"Follow me you can help me get changed before you meet my father" Rose tells me i nod following her to one of the bathrooms "Wow this is massive" i say looking around Rose laughs at me i help her get changed after we leave the bathroom we enter the living room where i am met with Solomon Richards himself "Dad this Michael" Rose says introducing me i hold my hand out Solomon shakes my hand "It's a pleasure to meet you Mr Richards" i say politely "Oh please call me Solomon, it's pleasure to meet you too my boy, i trust you are treating my daughter excellently" i let go of his hand "Yes sir, I'm doing my best" he smiles at my response
"No shall we head to the dining room?" He asks looking at everyone i follow Rose she sits at the top of the table opposite her dad Lazlow sits by Solomon and i sit by Rose i put my hand in my pocket feeling if the ring is still there, house keepers bring out plates and plates of food "This sure looks good dad" Rose says smiling i don't think I've ever seen her so wide eyed we start to eat food it's really nice night we laugh, talk and of course Rose cries she blames it on hormones but i know this is what she needed and I'm happy she finally got it "Anyone for dessert?" Solomon asks "Um just before we start i have something to say" i interrupt him he nods i take a deep breath
I pull the ring out my pocket and get down on one knee next to Rose "Rose Martha Jones, the day.i met you you turned my life upside down in the best way possible, I'm so great full for everything you have done and continue to do, i want to thank you for giving me the best possible thing i could ask for a family with you I've dreamt of this day over and over so much, i may not be the most perfect man but i will always try my best and do my best for you, our child and most importantly our family, Rose will you do me the honour of being my wife?" I open to black box revealing the beautiful diamond ring Rose looks at her dad who is nodding his head "Oh Mikey, YES yes I'll be your wife" i slide the ring on to her finger its like a perfect fit Rose carefully gets up and plants a kiss on my lips how i have missed her kiss
"I think this calls for a celebration, don't you?" Solomon says "Champagne!" He shouts Lazlow goes to fetch some he pours 3 glasses and hands me one "Oh none for me I'm driving" i tell him "Nonsense you can stay here the night this is a beautiful occasion, now come one celebrate" i look at Rose and shrug my shoulders smiling she just rolls her eyes and laughs
The rest of the night is perfect I couldn't ask for anything better I'm engaged to the love of my life shes happy and content with her life so am i, i have the biggest job of my life ever coming up life's good" i place my hand on Roses bump rubbing it "I love you" i say "I love you too" she tells me "Oh um i was talking to my son" I tell her she taps my arm "But i do love you soon to be Mrs De Santa"
Rose yawns "It's late, do you want to go to bed?" I ask her she nods we say goodnight to Solomon and Lazlow shows us to our room its a beautiful room Rose borrows pjs from lazlow and i sleep in my underwear i cuddle up to Rose who is already fast asleep "I love you angel" i say as i kiss her forehead.
