(REWRITTEN)
y/n woke up earlier than she usually did, quickly readying herself for school, she slung her bag over her shoulder before quietly leaving the house. She walked down the sidewalk her shoes scuffing against the coarse concrete.
She turned entering a small convenience store hoping they had what she wanted, she smiled bending down to pluck a few cans from the bottom shelf, she then grabbed a small breakfast rice ball and a drink.
She walked to the counter placing the few items there before digging in her purse and pulling out the money to pay, the cashier gave her a friendly smile and wished her a good rest of her day as she heaped the small plastic bag.
She pushed the shops door open the small bell chiming as she exited before she continued on her way to the school, few students beginning to filter in as it was still a little early for them to be arriving.
Y/n took this opportunity to look for the little orange feline that Yuki claimed lived around the school's grounds, munching on her breakfast as she did, she hummed a tune tilting her head to the side "huh? Maybe it's still sleeping somewhere" she mumbled to herself after her search seemed to be fruitless.
She returned to the front of the school ready to go in when tohru called out catching her attention, "morning!" She sang happy Kyo and Yuki trailing behind her. "Morning Honda" y/n greeted holding the convenience store bag infront of her
"What's with the bag?" Kyo asked an eyebrow raised, y/n gave him a small smile turning in his direction to answer his question. "It's cat food for a little orange cat Yuki said lived around here" she told him placing a finger on her lips "although I don't think he's here at the moment" she trailed off
Kyo grit his teeth feeling flustered as Tohru and Yuki held in their laughs of amusement, "you should name it Kyo" Yuki teased causing y/n to agree quickly which only made kyo visibly bristle
"Why'd you name it after me?!" He yelled turning towards Yuki, y/n shrugged "well it's fur matches your hair color" she said glancing at him with visible mirth.
"Damn rat" kyo grumbled before leaving the group and embarrassingly trudging into the school, Tohru giggled quietly behind her hand, "maybe we should just leave the food out and any cats in the area will eat it"
Y/n nodded "good idea, I bought a few cans" she said as the three of them set them out before retreating inside to begin their classes for the day.
Later Haru entered the school only to be stopped by kyo "ya! Yell your girlfriend to take a hike" he grumbled as haru quirked an eyebrow upwards "she's not my girlfriend yet" he said passively
Tohru waved at him as she placed her shoes in the locker, Yuki snd y/n already retreating to their class. "Well tell whatever she is to quit going on about a cat kyo!" He grumbled crossing his arms over his chest
Haru then turns to tohru a plain look on his face dispite his mischievous eyes, "you should hug kyo during lunch so he can eat the cat food" kyo glared "hell no!" He yelled the same time tohru waved her arms in denial "I couldn't do that" she rejected
"But it will disappoint y/n if she doesn't see the cat" he said before turning a taunting gaze on kyo who rolled his eyes throwing his arms in the air "hey don't brainwash her!" Tohru sighed before steeling her expression "I'll do it!" "Goddamnit!" Kyo grumbled stalking away

Kyo grumbled angrily stalking out of the bushes in his zodiac form a permanent scowl adorning his furry face, "fuck you rat" he hissed quietly as he passed yuki and pretends to be interested in the food before sitting there begrudgingly
Y/n cooed at the car much to everyone's amusement and his displeasure, "Awh what's wrong kyo kyo you don't like this food?" She questioned poking the open can, Haru snickered as she reached out to pat his head, Kyo's ears pinned back as he sulked.
The bell was quick to ruin everyone's fun, y/n stood dusting herself off "bye bye cat" she mused before walking back inside kyo running in an opposite direction where he left his pile of clothing.
Haru stared after her thoughtfully wondering what she would think if she learned that they were all cursed zodiac animals, he released a huff turning to momiji who had been trying to get the distracted hatsuharu's attention.
"We are going to Shi's after school" momiji sang as they all began to go back into school now that kyo had rejoined them. Haru nodded "ah okay" he said simply
The rest of the day seemed to drone on boringly, the end of school seemed to be slow to come and when it did Yuki met up with Y/n. "There is no council or clubs today l/n" he said with a small smile
She tilted her head "oh? I didn't know that thanks" they switched out their shoes in the stream of other students before she grasped her things and left waving cheerfully at the group before a familiar limo pulled along the sidewalk catching the eye of the other students.
The sohoma's stood by idly watching in silently intrigued, the tinted window rolled down and a cocky smile was revealed, "hello doll" Daichi greeted y/n his nose crinkling when he noticed the close proximity of the others.
"And who are these...riff raff" he questioned his voice straining with what seemed to be disgust, they looked between her and daichi causing her to silently grit her teeth, "friends" she mumbled coldly
Her eyes trailing over him as she slipped out of the polished vehicle, daichi made sure to preen himself as he did flexing his wealth as if driving a limo casually wasn't enough, she internally sighed resisting the urge to roll her eyes,
"Erm why?" He responded throwing an arm over her shoulder, she stiffened causing the sohoma's to gaze questioningly, Haru glared at him her eyes squinting.
She gave them all an 'I'm so sorry' look before sighing "because we've grown close, now is there anything you need? I thought we agreed not to meet at school? You also didn't tell me you were coming" she said coolly.
Daichi huffed "well that's rude of you to talk to your fiancé that way, but I came here to pick you up for a study date so chop chop" he clapped his hands sliding back into the limo, the others gave her perplexed stares, "I'll explain" she told them avoiding haru's gaze as she slipped in herself
She felt the vehicle turn pulling out of the school's driveway she glanced back at the dumbfounded expressions on their faces, she then looked towards haru her breath hitching as she noticed his slightly betrayed look
"Why do I care..what he thinks" she mumbled to herself sinking into the seats, daichi turned to her "what?" She shook her head "nothing"
