Backstory: Throughout her whole life, Psalm was never upset by anything that happened to her, however this caused in a disregard for her own safety. See a tall tree? Climb it. No way to climb back down? Jump

This lead to the many, many injuries that she suffered resulting in the scars you can see today. Her arm was lost during an unfortunate incident, but once she woke up in the hospital she shrugged it off stating. "I wouldn't have lost it if i needed it." This doesn't mean she won't wear a prosthetic, but it didn't phase her at all.
The only thing that bothers her is the welfare of other people, which is why she joined the force. But with her injuries she's deemed unfit to serve and was sent to an early retirement. In turn, she started vigilante work and everytime the police to her go out of admiration for her efforts, but not without a fine of course.
All this lead to where she is now, living in a tiny apartment, barely scraping by but as along as she can help people, she doesn't mind.
