Peace

(@GeminiGirl)

World peace-

Is it possible?

Pondering over it,

I sat in front of mirror.

A frown-

That’s what I first saw.

Is it such a dilemma?

I asked myself.

The answer I got was

A raised brow and

A question in return-

What is world peace?

Bill says, to vanish boundaries,

Like a white glove- a whole.

Equality, secularity and serenity

For a day, maybe.

Is it the same for you?

Oh! One more question it is.

Is it same for me?

Equality?

Secularity?

And

Serenity?

Oh!

Yes.

That’s what I think.

But,

For me, things are a bit different.

The serenity of the

Snoring infant-

Lullaby it is.

That’s the peace.

Happiness among children-

Disabled or poverty stricken,

Black or white…

Hand in hand they play

In the garden of equality.

That’s the peace.

“Are you Muslim?”

“Are you Hindu?”

“Are you Christian?”

“Are you Sikh?”

Breaking such questions,

We all wattpaders cherish secularity.

That’s peace.

Asian or American,

European or African,

Australian or from Antarctica

All together…

Not with spurious smiles,

But with the purity of heart.

That’s peace.

No more blood shedding

Of innocence…

No more killing

Of trusts…

No more ignoring

Needy…

That’s peace.

Not just this 31st December,

I desire of peace for forever.

Boundaries or no boundaries…

Together or alone…

Near or faraway…

I desire eloquence of it…

Peace…

The nobility…

The serenity…

And…

The ability.

And then,

The image in the

Mirror smiled.
