Chapter 49 - Getting back at it

It's a week later and Natalie has been discharged from the hospital. Kelly and Casey have come to pick her up
"Get me out of this place before I drop dead!" Natalie shouts grabbing her things
"Let's not do that!" Casey says smiling
They help Natalie out to the car and start to drive home
"Fresh air!" Natalie says as she rolls the window down
"Your acting like you've been I prison for the last 2 weeks" Kelly says laughing
"I'm sorry! It was like prison! God I would have loved to be in prison! The tension between me phoning Voight was through the roof!" Natalie says smiling
"Your one of a kind I'll give you that" Casey says as they arrive at there apartment
Natalie carefully walks up the stairs
"Come on! I've aged about 10 years here!" Casey says
"Have you just had major surgery?" Natalie asks
"No" Casey replies
"Didn't think so! Now shut your pie hole!" Natalie shouts as Kelly smiles
Kelly opens his mouth but Natalie stops him
"Same goes for you Severide!" Natalie shouts holding her hand up
"Severide now?!" Kelly says smiling
"Come on guys! 10 years!!!!" Casey says
When they finally get up the stairs Kelly guides Natalie into her room. When she walks in she can see her room all ready for her with a bottle of wine and chocolates sitting on her bedside table
"Just thought you needed a little pick me up" Kelly says smiling
"Why thank you!" Natalie says giving Kelly a hug
It's a month later and Natalie has been doing everything to get better. They found the person that did this to her and have locked him away. She has finally been cleared to go back to work but hasn't told anyone apart from Boden. It's morning briefing and Natalie is binding in the common room
"Okay truck 81! How do we feel about the new Luitenent?" Boden asks
"He's great! He's so funny!" Gallo says smiling
"And not to mention those abs..." Stella says sitting back in her chair
"And those legs! He's got legs for days!" Gallo says imitating Stella
"But Luitenent Lewis can take her time coming back!" Gallo says smiling
"Oh really? I mean I have legs for days...If I tried!" Natalie says appearing in the common room with her uniform on
"Natalie!" Cruz says smiling
"I'm back bitches!" Natalie says smiling
They all run up and hug her one by one
"It's good to be back!" Natalie says smiling
