Every kid that hit the age of 16 they could meet their opposite but only 6.9% ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) chance of them meeting them though. The age of 18 where one can travel to the opposite world for about 4 hours in one day.
Dream on the other hand is one of the lucky person to have a opposite, he met a shy and timid boy in his age wearing a big red hoodie like his and a black mask with a red frown (☹️) design.
The colors of the kids hoodie and mask are completely opposite from his, that's where he knows this is his opposite.
He let out a bright smile and offering a handshake.
"My name's Dream, you?"
The other kid seems a bit to hesitate before going to handshake and whisper quietly but loud enough for Dream to hear it.
"N-nightmare"
Dream looks like about to pass out from the innocence that laced into Nightmare's voice. He can't believe that someone like this bean can be his opposite but he's a menace so it should be fair.
They talk and play until their time runs out, it sadden the two boys as they bid their goodbye's to each other before disappearing into nothingness to their originated world.
He noticed that Nightmare hadn't smile even just a twitch, always slouching and trying to be small. He dismissed all of this things and try to make him smile but to no avail.
This would go for about a year and a half now and Dream love his opposite as a little brother/twin, the two bonded after a year and only a year more before they could see each other's world like.
At the second year and the two boys are now 18, Dream first show what his world is like and it's Nightmare's turn...
that's when he knows it's not going to be pretty as his, the world seems like always in war, no peace or whatsoever, even at the smallest mistake they fight for it. He saw the opposite of his Team, the Sleepy bois, and the others, it was pure chaos.
Dream wrapped an arm to his little brother/twin and pull him into an hug, he promise to himself that he will fix it so his twin will be happy and always smiling.
His light hadn't been smiling for so long made his quest to accomplish. He's willing to take all the consequences as long as Nightmare is safe and happy....

That's where all the war broke out, Dream became the tyrant on his own land. Denying the independence of the new country that rose out of nowhere, fighting anyone who opposed him, gaining allies and enemies. The once peaceful land turned into a battlefield and he just smile at this while the other fought for what they think is right underneath his mercy.
He keep this facade for two long years and ceased to stop when he was captured by his former friends and family. All of them argue whether to go and execute him or just lock him up. Arguments rose up as they fight for Dream's fate while he just let out a laugh.
At the crack of dawn they all decide to execute Dream. They all fetched him up from the waiting cell with a stoic faces, telling him what they all decide but his smile didn't waver even when he's inform that he would be dead, they all think that he is crazy, a monster or a demon in a human flesh, but he knew he isn't.
Somewhere out there, his light is smiling. He may not be able to see it but he can feel it and it's enough for him. He kept his unsaid promise and there's nothing he could ask for.
They put him on top of the stage where his execution will happen, the smile on his face never left even when the axe falls down to end his life, him laying there with his pool of blood, thinking of his twin living a happy and safe life now.
That puts him at ease.
As long as his twin is smiling it'll be alright.
Dream never even think that he could love someone like this but he never question it. It was a mysterious or a myth to find the true meaning of love anyways and he unintentionally found a blessing and a curse one.
He put his last strength to do one last thing before going to leave forever
Nightmare joined the server
Dream: Sorry...
After he finished typing that, a familiar voice rang out.
"DREAM!!!!"

Nightmare's world isn't the best thing to lived in, there's a lot of war and fighting, no peace ever happened here.
Happiness is not in his vocabulary. He never knew what it was, no one taught him how to smile or be happy at some point.
Until he met Dream... His opposite.
The ever so cheerful person came into his life, showing the life that he never know. He felt something warm inside his chest but he didn't know what it was so he just shrugged it, he noticed the way Dream lips form into something he doesn't know, trying to replicate it on his own was hard so he gave up.
At the age of 18 where he introduced his world he was pulled into a hug? Yeah that's what they called it, he can't help but melt at this. He wish that it would never stop but time run fast and he knows it must come to an end.
After that introduction, he noticed something change to his world but decided it's nothing important. But after a month he can see that the war lessens and the conflict stop.
The two brothers meet up in their own little world, telling what happened and anything in general, Nightmare is still not smiling but the happiness in his voice was enough for Dream to feel accomplished by what he did.
After their little meeting, Dream inform his brother that he would be away for more that 2 years, it sadden Nightmare but support his brother anyway. They talk and do anything they can until their time runs out...
After that the two went into different path and things were never the same again.
Nightmare noticed that his world became more and more peaceful each months passed by, no one's declares war or fighting seriously over something they don't agree.
Years passed and he learned how to smile and be happy now, he can't wait and show this to his brother. He quickly go to their little world but noticed that no one's there, he search everywhere and he's not there.
'His brother should be here by now, it's been two years and he's still not here'
He gathered his strength and confidence before going to Dream's world...
A message immediately popped out to his face, as he read this his face became paler and horrified each second. He quickly ran to where he felt his last connection of Dream is.
' Nononono... Nononono, this is just a prank right? '
Arriving at his destination that's where he saw his brother's dying body at the top of the stage, bloody sword right next to his body as blood flows out like a river and his heart clenched when he saw a smile gracing on his features when they locked their eyes.
"DREAM!!!!"
His scream rang throughout the place, each one of the people there look to where it came and saw a man in red hoodie and a black mask running through the stage. They didn't even register when the stranger stop and hug the dying body of the tyrant.
"Dream! Wake up please... You gotta wake up don't leave me please!!"
He beg and beg as he clutch tightly to the body, never letting it go, afraid that it might disappear when he let go.
"Hey what are you doing!?"
"Get out of there!!"
"Who even are you!?"
Protests could be heard but it fell deafen to his ears as he focused on his brother's right now.
"N-night?" A weak voice rasped out.
"Dr-dream, don't go please..."
"I'm sorry... I couldn't make you smile"
"I learn how to" he let out a smile on his face as tears run down. "S-see"
"Th-that's good.. means I succeed"
"What do you mean-"
"Shhhh... It's okay, just keep smiling and it'll be alright" Dream weakly reach his hands up to Nightmare's face and wipe the endless tears pouring out his brother's face.
He shows a strained smile to his brother before his breath going shallow. His vision starts to go black.
"Dr-dream?" He called out to the other when he felt the heart beat going slower each second.
"You're smiling so bright just keep smiling my light"
It was the last thing he heard before the green eyes of his brother closed forever, succumbing into the endless sleep of death. His smile still painted on his face even after death.

He felt his world stop as soon as the message pop out. His breath ragged and eyes blurred.
His mind couldn't process what just happened as he let out the loudest scream, full of anger, sadness, grief, and anguish all together in one single scream.
The others on the back covers their ears as his scream reach to them. It last a minutes longer until it subsides into a sobbing mess.
The SMP watch as the new comer cries in anguish, they didn't even know why it hurts them. Until the man scream that will shock them to the core.
"BROTHER COME BACK PLEASE!!!"
He desperately shook Dream's body, trying everything in his mess up mind to wake his brother up in his slumber.
"Don't leave me"
He clung to his blood stained green hoodie as he release a series of cries.
The other just stood there not knowing what to do when the revelation happened, all of them knew that this tyrant never had a siblings but it seems like they are mistaken.
They couldn't think wether to celebrate that the villain in their story died or be guilty.
A ghost of their former friend pop out and a certain memory pass to them.
A villain is just a hero that no one convinced yet

They all are now having a battle with their feelings and thoughts while Ghostbur look at them with such curiosity on why they're frozen on their place.
"Do you guys need some blue?"

It's impossible to think that someone could love others like this that they would do anything, even going to the great length of sacrificing their own happiness and life just to see them smile and safe.....
It really is impossible.
They didn't even know how it would affect the one they promised to be in pain to see them go.

Dream cause all the havoc and war for a reason and that is to make his opposite (Nightmare) lived a happy life, since what happened to his world is the opposite to Nightmare's.
He made a promise to himself that cost him his life but he doesn't regret it.
Nightmare came and saw this, going to angsty part and reveals to the others that they are brothers and now having a second thoughts wether to have a party or be guilty.
Ghostbur came and his quote made it's way to the people brain and it gave them difficulty to know if this is good or bad.
