Chapter 27- Back to Luitenent

It's a few days later and Natalie is back on shift. When she walks in she can see Boden standing there with a huge smile on his face
"Chief! It's 7am! Why are you this happy!?" Natalie says
"I'm just in a good mood Luitenent!" Boden says smiling as Natalie realises
"Did you just call me what I think you called me!?" Natalie says enthusiastically
"Congratulations Natalie! Truck is now yours again!" Boden says before walking away
Kelly walks over as he notices that Natalie is really happy
"What's up?" Kelly asks smiling
"I got truck back!" Natalie says enthusiastically jumping into his arms
"That's great!" Kelly says smiling
Kelly holds Natalie in his arms and they look each other in the eyes. Kelly slowly starts to move his face closer as if he is coming in for a kiss and Natalie does the same
"Luitenent?" Cruz asks confused
"Yeah!" They both shout as they pull apart
"Oh right! Not the Truck Luitenent!" Natalie says as she walks away awkwardly
"Umm okay?" Cruz says confused
"What's up Cruz?" Kelly asks with his heart going at 100MPH
"The trucks out of fuel!" Cruz says
"Round up the guys and tell them we're going for a ride!" Kelly says as he breaks out in a sweat
"Are you okay Luitenent? You look like your gonna drop dead?" Cruz asks looking at the sweat dripping from Kelly's forehead
"Totally fine Cruz!" Kelly says wiping his head
"Okay? Just don't drop dead here! The amount of paperwork Boden would have to do!" Cruz says as he walks away
Kelly lets out a breath that he didn't know he was holding and wipes the seat off of his face
"Pull yourself together Kelly!" Kelly whispers to himself
Natalie runs in all frustrated and not quite sure where she's going. She walks about in a state until she finds herself in Caseys quarters
"He...We!" Natalie says in a panic out of breath
"Woah! Slow down! Deep breaths!"Casey says concerned
Natalie takes a deep breath and slowly lets it out
"We almost kissed!" Natalie says
"Who?" Casey asks
"Me and Kelly!" Natalie says slowly controlling her breath
"Where?" Casey asks sitting down next to her
"On the app floor! Cruz saw us! He acted like he didn't see anything!" Natalie says frustrated
"Well did you want it to happen?" Casey asks calmly
"I don't know! I love Kelly I really do but I still love Gallo! I can't chose one Casey!" Natalie says
Just as Casey can respond they hear the bells go off
"Truck 81, Squad 3, ambulance 61, engine 51, Prison fire, Westfield Prison!" The intercom says as they both run out
