Sage smirked as she watched her best friend and her boyfriend compete on the rock climbing wall that coach had set up for P.E, she could tell that the teen wolf was slowing down for his girlfriend but when Allison had kicked Scott's foot off causing him to fall, the vampire couldn't help but laugh.

"Alright, next two, Frenchie, Stlinski!" Sage sent the boy a wink who in return had a determined look on his face. He knew he stood no chance against the vampire but that didn't mean he couldn't try.

Like Scott, Sage was waiting for the human to catch up, but once she had neared the top she had realised that the boy was nowhere near her. She looked down only to find his eyes glued to her ass.

"STILINSKI!" The vampire laughed even louder than she did when Scott fell, Coach had yelled at the human who in return fell from the sound of his name being yelled, and just like his best friend, he hung slightly over the mat. Sage quickly got down after ringing the bell, she patted the boy's cheek before making her way over to her two best friends.

"Next—Erica, Greenberg."

Sage didn't pay any attention to Greenberg as he got halfway up the wall, but the strong smell of fear and anxiety wafted the air as she looked at the blonde girl who was currently struggling. The loud whimpering and sniffles coming from the girl got everyone's attention. Coach walked over to her, the vampire frowned as she noticed the telltale signs of what was happening to the girl.

"Coach, she's epileptic- it's not a good idea for her to be up there." The vampire said, her accent coming out strong on the word 'epileptic'. Coach looked over at the girl in shock, apparently, he wasn't aware of this.

Sage sighed as quiet snickers followed Erica as she quickly hurried out of the gym. With her being a vampire and all she never knew what it was like to be sick so she couldn't sympathise with the girl. But a part of her knew that if a certain Alpha got a whiff of this, then Erica wouldn't be epileptic anymore.

"You ruin everything!" Sage heard Jackson yell making her look up from her phone to see Lydia pressed up against the wall with a fearful look in her eyes. Before the jock could take another step closer to Lydia, Sage had already grabbed the boy by his neck and twisted his arm behind his back. She had slammed his head into the locker causing everyone in the hall to watch the vampire in shock.

"Jackson. I'm very aware you think you're untouchable, but you remember the last time you pissed me off?"

"Sage—I'm fine I swear--" Sage barely heard what her best friend was saying to her, the vampire was filled with rage as she continued to twist the boy's arm behind his back, any further and she would rip it off.

"You're hurting me!" Sage didn't care that the boy was groaning in pain, the vampiric side of her wanted to rip Jackson's arm off, the fear that she had felt through the bond fueled her anger even more. Her job was to protect Lydia, and the one anomaly that was constantly hurting her was Jackson Whittmore. So Sage had to get rid of him.

"Sage..." The vampire felt herself calm down a little after feeling the delicate hand of her best friend on her arm, she looked over at the Martin girl who stared at her, worry swimming in her jade coloured eyes.

"I'm okay." Sage stared at her friend who sent her a soft smile, she let go of the jocks shoulder and quickly sent him a glare- the boy gulped as he looked at the girl in fear before he quickly took off down the hall.

The hall had emptied leaving the two best friends, Sage searched the girl to see if she was hurt but Lydia just pulled her into a hug. The blonde returned it causing the girl to melt into her arms.

"Thank you for protecting me." Lydia whispered to her guardian.

"Always."

The following day Sage and Lydia had walked into the cafeteria but the strawberry blonde was unusually quiet, the vampire assumed that it was because of the whole Jackson ordeal but from the whispers going around about the Martin girl Sage couldn't pinpoint what exactly got her best friend so down in the dumps.

The vampire stopped in her tracks as her face scrunched up and her nose wrinkled from the stench of dog, she knew it wasn't because of Scott because she was used to his scent now.

There was a new werewolf.

Soon enough the cafeteria doors had opened and a whole new Erica came into view, the girl wore a very tight outfit which caught everyone's attention.

Sage side-eyed her bestfriend who had a furious look on her face as she stared at the girl, the vampire had followed the girl after she had marched over to Scott and Stiles' table. Both boys were staring at the new werewolf putting the pieces together about her new look.

"What the holy hell is that?!" Lydia demanded as she slammed her hands on their table, as she continued to glare at Erica. She refused to allow another girl to come in and steal all the attention especially when everyone used to gawk at her like that.

"It's Erica," Scott said, knowing that this was Derek's doing, as soon as the girl heard the whisper of her name she threw a smirk over to the boys before strutting out of the cafeteria, making Scott and Stiles bolt after her.

"Who the hell does she think she is?!" Sage frowned at the anger she felt through her bond, she hated seeing Lydia like this, she knew all she cared about was popularity and right now Erica was stealing the last bit that Lydia had.

Stiles gnawed on the inside of his cheek as he stared over at Sage who was currently perched on the ground by her locker, from the looks of it she was doodling again in her notebook. The human made a mental note to ask her about her drawings one day, but right now he had something else on his mind. The last time they spoke was that night they had saved Isaac from the hunter, normally the vampire would sneak through his window and watch him sleep but Stiles knew she never came by that night.

He felt like she was ignoring him.

The one thing that was gnawing on Stiles' mind was the kiss the two shared the night of the formal, that and the fact that the vampire had drunk from him. Stiles knew that both those moments meant something to Sage but he was also a little scared that their relationship might have just taken two steps back because of it.

So he thought the only way to get it right back on track was to ask her out on a date.

He, Scott, Allison and Lydia were all going to the ice rink tonight and he wanted to ask the vampire personally if she would come. After he told Allison and Scott that, the brunettes couldn't help but look at him with a certain twinkle in their eye, they both knew how in love Stiles was with his guardian so they were ecstatic to help him get the girl.

At first, he didn't think he needed any help with her, but after he let it slip to them how they had kissed and hadn't spoken about it he knew he could use all the help he could get. He needed to know if the blonde could love him the way he loved her, he wanted to see her ocean-blue eyes shine with adoration and love as she stared at him, he wanted to hear her soft voice tell him that she loved him, he wanted to feel her hands—

"Stiles?"

He hated that he screamed like a girl from the sudden sound of his name but he couldn't help it, she had scared the living crap out of him.

"Sage! What did I tell you about doing that, you scared the crap out of me!" He breathed, grabbing his chest as he felt his heart practically beating out of his chest.

The blonde giggled, "Well you were staring at me for quite some time, is there a reason for that?" she asked with raised eyebrows, but what Stiles didn't know was that her heart was beating just as fast as his. Especially from what she was told last night.

He could feel his face warm at the fact that she had felt him staring at her and rubbed his neck in a sheepish manner. "Uh well, I was kinda wondering -" He quickly corrected himself. "— Hoping actually if you would come to the ice rink tonight? I mean you don't have to feel pressured into coming or anything", He swallowed nervously. "—It's definitely up to you..."

"Stiles breathe," Sage told the boy as she rested her hand on his arm, the human only gulped but nodded his head, calming down slightly. Sage watched as his honeycomb eyes watched her, his eyes shone with loved and adoration as he looked at her, he knew without a doubt that the vampire could hear how fast his heart was racing, he even knew that she probably could feel the love he had for her through the bond.

But what he didn't know was just how fast her heart was racing, he felt his chest warm as he continued to stare at the girl but he just thought it was because of the love he had for her, he didn't know that it was because he could feel the love she had for him through the bond.

"Okay."

"Okay...?"

"I'll see you tonight." She smiled softly at the human before she placed a gentle kiss on his cheek before she quickly sped down the hall. Stiles watched his guardian with a wide grin on his face, but it was quickly replaced with a frown when he realised she had left her notebook on the ground.

As he went to pick it up he noticed that it was left open on the drawing she had done. Stiles' eyebrows furrowed as he stared at the drawing before looking back to where she had walked off.

She no doubt had talent but the Stlinski boy was confused as to why she would draw this.

Rooted into what looked like soil was a single purple flower, known as wolfsbane.

(She's wearing tights.)

The group all watched as Stiles unlocked the front doors before opening them and turning on the lights, lighting up the entire ice rink, they quickly made way to the bleachers so they could change into their skates.

Lydia sat a row in front of Sage and Stiles, she rubbed her arms feeling a faint chill in the air once she finished tying her laces. "Could it be any colder?" She muttered in annoyance, Sage frowned at Lydia's statement, Stiles not liking the look on the vampire's face dug quickly into his bag before pulling out an orange hoodie.

Lydia stared at the hoodie in disgust, "I'm wearing blue." The strawberry blonde huffed at the boy who stared at her in confusion, "Orange and blue don't go together."

"It's the colour of the Mets." Stiles snapped his head towards the vampire, his jaw fell open in shock. Sage looked at the human with a slight frown on her face, "Am I wrong? Blue and orange- I thought they were your favourite baseball team?" Stiles continued to stare at the girl in awe, he had no idea that she remembered that, he quickly nodded his head causing a sigh of relief to escape the blonde.

"Here." Sage had pulled a black cardigan out of her bag before handing it to her bestfriend, Lydia muttered a quiet thank you to the blonde before she made her way onto the rink.

"Even though they're your favourite team, orange and blue is kind of a weird combination." Her eyes lit up as Stiles handed her an unopened Reese' bar, the human couldn't help but smile at her expression, he had found out that Sage had never had Reese's before so he took it upon himself to get her to try it one day, and ever since then she was like a little kid when she saw the chocolate.

"Okay, um, maybe orange and blue is not the best, right, you know, um, sometimes there's other things you wouldn't think would be a good combination end up turning out to be, like, a perfect combination. —You know, like two people together - who nobody ever thought would be together ever."

Sage stared at the boy, she knew exactly what he was talking about. The blonde rarely got nervous but from the intense stare Stiles was giving her, she couldn't help but look away from him. She knew they had to talk about it soon, but she needed to do something first, she needed to know if what she was told was even remotely possible and she could only do that by talking to one person.

"Uh, we better get out there, I mean we did come here to skate and all." Stiles nodded at the girl before she made her way over to the rink. Stiles blinked his eyes as he watched the girl in wonder, she skated beautifully, her and Lydia twirled together like they were in sync. Sage looked over at the boy who continued to stare at her in awe.

She soon skated over to the boy with a smile on her face as he held out her hand for him. He quickly took it, lacing their fingers together as they skated off to the edge of the rink.

The blonde couldn't help but laugh at the boy as she tried to balance himself, Stiles had told her that he knew how to skate but Sage was starting to wonder if that was a lie.

It in fact wasn't a lie, Stiles knew how to skate, he skated all the time with his mother when she was still alive but right now all the nerves of being so close to the girl he loves were throwing him off balance.

"I thought you could skate Stlinski." Sage teased the boy as she skated backwards.

"Hey, I totally can- I'm just really nervous right now. And at least I'm not as bad as Scott." He pointed out.

She opened her mouth to respond but she suddenly felt the rush of fear through her bond again, her head quickly turned from the sound of a high pitched scream that came from Lydia. The two looked over at the strawberry blonde wide-eyed, "Lydia!?"

The two rushed over to the screaming girl and tried to calm her down. Sage held Lydia who cried in her arms and she couldn't help but wonder why Lydia was screaming like that. But they didn't see what Lydia had seen.

Peter Hale and a single purple flower, known as wolfsbane.
