Liams POV
"I need the ferris wheel over here and the dunk tank over... NO! THAT BOOTH IS SUPPOSED TO BE NEXT TO THE PICTURE WALL! NOT BY THE TICKET STATION!" Harry instructed making me drop what I was doing to go and help my distressed seven month pregnant boyfriend. Today was Darcey's eighth birthday which we are so excited for as this is the first time we've gotten to celebrate her birthday. Ashton, Zayn, and Louis were helping set up the various booths while Luke kept Darcey busy as this was a surprise party. The other kids were with Niall as he just wanted to get out of setting up.
Quickly scooping my arm around Hazza waist I could feel him become less tense in my grip. 'Darling...' I calmly coo into his ear making him relax further into my grip "I know, I know... I need to calm down." he says laying his head on my shoulder as he takes deep breathes to try and calm down. "I just want it to be perfect..." he mumbles into my shoulder causing me to chuckle a little at his new found sleepiness. 'Its going to be but how about we let you take a little nap hmm?' I say getting him to nod into my shoulder. I effortlessly pick him up bridal style and carry him into our room, laying him down gently I tuck him in and in less than a minute he's out like a light.
"Alright now how do you work?" Louis asked himself as he was trying to put together a Ring The Bell game. Winding up with the comically shaped mallet he hit the tigger hard only for the slider to hit weaklings 10. I along with Zayn and Ashton burst out laughing as smoke could be seen coming from his ears he was so angry. "Stupid piece of shits broken!" he muttered crossing his arms over his chest as I decide to give it a go. Winding up I smash the mallet onto the trigger sending the slider all the way up to the bell getting a successful ding. Angrily he storms off to setting up the next booth while we continue to laugh. Soon enough the back yard carnival was put together, now all we need is the birthday girl and her guests.
As it got closer towards the time we told Luke to bring Darcey back guests started to arrive. All of Darcey's friends from school and dance were here, helping themselves to get their tickets from Lou as he's the only one small enough to fit in the booth. Niall begrudgingly was getting into the dunk tank as he got the short end of the stick when he opted to not help us in setting up. Ashton and Zayn were tasked with supervising while I went to go wake up Harry.
He was laying peacefully asleep tucked under the covers, his bump moved around slightly letting me know the quads were active.He stirred awake due to their movement causing him to groggily sit up and rub his eyes. 'Have a nice nap darling?' I ask as I move towards the bed as he nodded sleepily looking absolutely adorable. "Are they here yet?" he asked as he made grabby hands at me as he needs help getting out of bed. 'Not yet darling but they will be soon.' I place a kiss on his forehead as he stands while wrapping my arms securely around his expanding waist. "Well then what are we waiting for? My birthday princess will be here soon!" he says cheerfully as he makes his way towards the hall.
I lead him down the stairs and into the backyard where all the kids have gone to hide as they should be pulling in any moment. Harry placed his hands over his mouth in amazement at how well his carnival came together, as he wanted to make it the best carnival for our little girl and he did just that. He wasn't able to stay in the state of marvel for long as the sound of a car door closing could be heard from the from of the house. Knowing it was Darcey and Luke we go to hide as well, finding our spot behind Louis ticket booth.
"Then he said 'I don't like that color!' and I was said 'Well to bad I do and its my shirt so I can wear it if I want to!' honestly Uncle Luke boyfriends are overrated." I could hear Darcey from inside retelling a story that she didn't tell me... since when did she have a boyfriend?! Louis, Niall, and Zayn also must have been in the dark as they shared my same look of confusion while Harry just tried not to burst out laughing at us. "Exactly darling, now how about we go see if Daddy's outside?" that was Luke making me mentally remind myself to ask her about that conversation later as I could hear her approaching...3...2...1...
