chapter 25
austin point of view
2 weeks after the incident
"are you crazy?! why on earth would you do that?" ally screams as i tell her what happened with derek and ethan
"well, i had to protect dez"
"still..." she mumbles
"hey, you never got to meet him yet"
"i know who he is. he's the red headed boy who your always staring at"
i grin at that, cause yeah i stare at him.

"but you've never really communicated with him" i state and she groans
"why? i dont really want to"
"why?"
"i dont know.. i want to make a good impression" she admits and i give her a hug.
"aw, its okay. dez will like you. he has to because your my best friend"
ally then smiles at me and i take out my phone to tell dez to meet us at my apartment.

"hi" dez says sheepishly to ally as we are all sitting on the couch.
"hi" ally says
"dez, say something" i say
"i cant! this position is mortifying!" he screeches and i just shrug.
i may or not have made dez sit on my lap with my arms around him.
"its cute, don't worry about it" ally reassures dez.
they end up in a conversation about a book that i never read. what? i don't like to read like these two dorks.
i make dinner and we all eat, their conversation still going.
after ally leaves, dez and i lay next to each other on my bed.
"you know, i couldn't follow you and ally's conversation at all" i say and dez smirks a bit.
"i wasn't expecting you to"
i gasp, "are you implying that i am stupid?"
"maybe" he giggles
"oh your going to regret that!" i declare and begin to tickle him.
"stop stop!" he pleads.
"fine" i stop tickling him, then add, "in all seriousness, i am really happy that you and ally are friends"
"i'm really happy that we're more than friends" he says
"is that so?"
"yeah" he lays his head on my chest
"me too" i whisper and kiss his forehead
we both fall asleep, but we would be expecting a big surprise the next day.
