Applejack and Rainbow Dash were just taking a little walk, Just for fun. They were walking with Applejack's dog; Winona. They talked about random things, Laughed at the most littlest things, They were just being them. Until something unexpectedly happened, Rainbow hand had slipped off Winona's leash due to the pulling Winona was doing. Winona had then went onto the street. Rainbow and Applejack's eyes widened.
Applejack: "Winona!" Applejack shouted.
Rainbow Dash: "I'll go get her, You stay here." Rainbow said, Applejack nodded. Rainbow went onto the street to go and get winona; Which she did. And on time too, She sighed in relief.
Rainbow Dash: "That was a close one." Rainbow whispered to herself.
Applejack: "RAINBOW! WATCH OUT!" Applejack shouted, Rainbow's eyes widened. She looked at Applejack then looked in front of her. It was a truck coming her way. Was she about to get hit? Just in case she got hit, She let Winona go so she wouldn't get hit with her. She closed her eyes tightly knowing what's about to happen next. She heard a crash, She opened her eyes..She wasn't the one who got hit. She then had heard Winona Whimpering. Rainbow was a bit confused until she looked to her left. She found Applejack on the floor motionless. Rainbow gasped in fear then ran to Applejack and knelt down to her.
Rainbow Dash: "Applejack? Applejack! Wake up, Please!"Tears were now in Rainbow's eyes, This couldn't be real. Suddenly, The person driving the truck had got out of the car with her eyes wide.
"Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry I ran over her! I must've went to fast and ending up hitting her. I'm So sorry!"
Rainbow Dash: *sigh* "It's okay but no okay, But she wasn't on the street. I was..." Rainbow said, Her voice almost at a whisper.
"I know, When I seen you I tried to slow down. Then that's when I seen your friend come and push you out of the way. She saved your life. If it weren't for her, You would be the one unconscious right now. But before the car could stop...She already had gotten ran over.." She said, Rainbow covered her mouth to avoid herself from crying. But she couldn't hold it, She started crying uncontrollably. The lady that accidentally ran over Applejack had grabbed her phone and called the Ambulance Immediately.

Twilight: "So Rainbow? Can you tell us what happened?" Twilight asked, Hugging Rainbow Dash who was crying non stop. It had been a day since the accident, Rainbow never told anyone what happened. But today was the day she tells her friends what happened. She eventually stopped crying, She didn't even bother to wipe her tears away because she knew she would cry again any moment.
Rainbow Dash: "S-So...What happened was; Me and Applejack were going for a walk...And..Winona had ran onto the street and-" Rainbow couldn't help but cry, Applejack was her best friend. She was also her crush for about 6 months.
Pinkie Pie: "It's gonna be okay, Dashie. At least you called the ambulance on time, I'm sure she'll be okay." Pinkie said in a calm voice, Rainbow sighed but didn't say anything yet. She tried to calm herself down; Which she did.
Rainbow Dash: "And then...I told her to stay where she was s-so I could go get Winona off the street. Then....I heard her yell 'Watch out' and I looked in front of me..T-There was a truck coming. I couldn't do anything...I-I knew I was gonna get hit. Then I opened my eyes and realized I was pushed out of the street. Then next I know-" Rainbow trailed off, She couldn't say it. She didn't wanna say it. She started crying again at the memory. But luckily, Her friends had empathy in her.
Fluttershy: "Um..R-Rainbow...You don't have to say the rest...I-If you feel uncomfortable saying it." Fluttershy said in a soft voice.
Rainbow Dash: "S-She...She got ran over!" Rainbow said, Her voice broke when she said those last words before she started crying for the 3rd or 4th time today. Her friends knew about Rainbow's crush on Applejack, And the fact that they've been friends for a very long time. They were worried about Applejack also, But they were also worried about Rainbow. Not because she's crying, But because she probably wouldn't feel the same. They didn't wanna lose Applejack and Rainbow Dash.
Rainbow's friends have never seen Rainbow cry like this, Rainbow was a person you would find that was overconfident about herself, And extra cocky. She was brave, She never cried. But if she wanted to cry, She'd cry alone. But in this case, It was hard not to cry alone. She needed to get this stuff off her chest.
Twilight: "Rainbow...Everything is gonna be fine. I'm sure she'll be okay, I can't say I'm right but we gotta think positive. Thinking Negative won't solve anything." Twilight reassured, Trying her best to comfort her friend. Twilight sensed that Rainbow was gonna blame herself for this, Which she didn't want to happen. It wasn't her fault, It wasn't anyone's fault. It was just a accident.
Rarity: "Twilight is right, Darling. Even if she didn't make it, She wouldn't want you to be like this. No one would, So you just gotta keep your head up. We know how you feel, Loosing someone you love is heartbreaking, And I'd probably be in your state right now if she ddin't make it but she'll still be in your heart. She'll always be in our hearts. Remember that."
Pinkie Pie: "And Don't forget to keep smiling, I don't think I would be able to smile if you didn't!" Pinkie jumped in as she hugged Rainbow tightly.
Fluttershy: "And your not alone, You have us." Fluttershy spoke in a gentle voice, Rainbow wiped her tears away and smiled a little.
Rainbow Dash: "Thanks guys, I'm glad I have friends like you." Rainbow spoke after crying for a whole 5 minutes. Her friends smiled back at her.

It's Been A Week since the incident, Rainbow started to doubt what her friends had said to her. How could she think positive? How can she keep her head? How could she keep smiling? True, She still has the others but Applejack is her best friend. There was no her without Applejack. 'Why couldn't she just stayed put like I told her? I should be the one in her condition.' She thought.
She couldn't help it, She didn't wanna think this because her friends didn't want her to think that. But she had no choice but to think; 'It's all my fault..' was the last thing she thought before she thought before going to sleep.
Hours later, Rainbow was still sleeping but was woken up due to her phone going off. She groaned lightly and slowly sat up on her bed and picked up her phone. It was the doctor, Was she finally gonna figure out if Applejack was alive or not? Is she okay? Without hesitating, She answered the call.
Rainbow Dash: "Hi, Is Applejack okay?"
"Well, She needed some help with her breathing. She also broke her leg, But she didn't get a concussion which was unexpected. But other than that, She's alright. You can come visit her if you want."
Rainbow: "Okay, I'll be there in a little bit. Thank you so much!"
"You're Welcome."
Rainbow hung up the call, She was happier then ever to finally see Applejack. But she still thought it was her fault. She could and will never forgive herself for this. Rainbow just threw some clothes on and went out the door. She had took a shower this morning, So that was taken care of already.
When she arrived at the hospital, She got out of her car and sat in the waiting room. Soon, A Doctor had came up to her.
"Applejack right?" The doctor asked, Rainbow nodded.
"Alright, She's in room 304." The doctor replied, Rainbow nodded. She thanked the doctor before going to room '304' . Once she reached the door, She sighed and Opened the door. She seen Applejack sitting up in her bed. Applejack looked at Rainbow and smiled at her. Rainbow ran up to Applejack and hugged her tightly whilst crying. Applejack hugged her back. But then she realized something; Rainbow never cried in front of her. Rainbow had finally broke the hug after 5 minutes.
Rainbow Dash: "Applejack...What were you thinking?!" Rainbow snapped, Applejack was a bit startled by it. But it ain't her first time doing it, So it was expected.
Applejack: "Well I mean...I was only trying to save you. I couldn't let my best friend just get hit by a truck just like that. That was the only way to keep you alive." Applejack answered, Rainbow sighed.
Rainbow Dash: "I should've never asked that, This is all my fault. It's my fault that-"
Applejack: "Rainbow, No it's not," Applejack started whilst having her hand over Rainbow's mouth.
Applejack: "That was my decision, I chose to get hit. So don't go blaming yourself because it ain't your fault. It's no one's fault. Unless the accident was on purpose." Applejack continued with a soft voice.
Applejack: "You don't have to worry anymore, I'm fine. True, My leg is broken but I'm okay. As you can see."
Rainbow Dash: "But...I told you to stay put. Why would you-" Rainbow was cut off by Applejack; Applejack had unexpectedly kissed her on the lips. Rainbow didn't kiss back though, She was too shocked. After Applejack finished kissing her, She smiled.
Applejack: "Because I love you." Applejack said in a gentle voice.
Rainbow Dash: "Really?"
Applejack: "Yes, More than a friend. I've had a crush on you for a while now. And I thought I should tell you, I even showed it. I showed that I loved you as a best friend, And...Ya know..A girlfriend." Applejack exclaimed, Rainbow was still shocked but still had the guts to say something.
Rainbow Dash: "Well...I like you too, More than a friend. And I have for a while..I just...I was just scared to tell you.." Rainbow said while scratching the back of her neck with a nervous smile, Applejack smirked.
Applejack: "Oh, So 'The Rainbow Dash' is scared now?" Applejack said with a chuckle, Rainbow's eyes widened.
Rainbow Dash: "Oh Shut up. But I'll admit...I was scared....of loosing you.." Rainbow said.
Applejack: "You were?"
Rainbow Dash: "Yes, Of course. How couldn't I be scared? You're my best friend for celestia sake. I may not say it often but you are! I wasn't even myself for the whole entire week knowing that you were in the hospital and not knowing that you're okay! And if you ever do this again I swear to celestia I will punch you in your throat!" Rainbow snapped.
Applejack: "Well, Looks like you'll be punching me in the throat a lot. I'd do this again if I had to. I don't care if it kills me the next time I do something like this, If saving you is stupid then I am stupid." Applejack laughed, Rainbow couldn't help it but laugh also.
Rainbow Dash: "Well...Thanks...For saving me."
Applejack: "You're Welcome. And just know I'd do it again if I had to."
