Bijan walked in first and Saad followed her. Seeing Bijan Asad and Zaid stood up in shock and seeing their reaction everyone stop talking and turn to follow their gaze.
Bijan was in her light cream color Punjabi suit with her head covered with the same color dupatta. She stood in the middle of the room and wished everyone together Asslam Walikum
Everyone in the room wished her back in unison Walikum Asslam. Asad came forward and stood beside her but Bijan's gaze was fixed on both Mahira and Zarin. She too was mesmerized by seeing Zarin's beauty. Asad saw and shook Bijan a little by her shoulder so that she stops staring at her. Asad decided to ask the reason for her sudden surprise arrival so he spoke
Asad: Bijan how come you are here? Why did you not inform us?
Bijan smiled at him and said
Bijan: Saad brought me here and I'm here for a reason.
Asad just nobs his head with a smile knowing what it could be and did not say anything future.
Bijan came near Zarin's bed and stood close there and moved her hand lovingly on Zarin's head and then kissed her forehead. Zarin was happy but scared also to see an elderly woman. Bijan saw her face and understood that she is scared so she holds Zarin's hand in her and said softly
Bijan: Masha Allah Princesses you are so beautiful. Kisi ki nazar na lage tume (nobody's evil eye will be on you) and please don't get scared of me.
Zarin gave a small smile hearing her and nob her head. Bijan then turn towards Mahira and looked at Saad. Saad understood he needs to introduce them to her, so he came forward and introduced her to Mahira. Bijan kissed her forehead lovingly then Saad introduced Bijan to Zoya, Zara, and Yusuf
Once all were introduced they settled down on their seat. Their seating arrangement was, on the sofa it was Zaid, Asad, and Yusuf on the single-seater sofa Zara, and on the handle of it Zoya, Zarin on the bed and Mahira was standing next to her, Bijan on the chair which was near bed and Saad next to Bijan on another chair.
After, all were settled Bijan decide to bring the topic of marriage, but she decides to bring it up in her style the way she and Nagma bhabhi (khan brother's mother) always had dreamed. So Bijan turned towards Zoya and spoke
Bijan: Zoya I need your help.
Zoya was shocked to hear Bijan and quickly stood up and came in front of Bijan and asked
Zoya: how can I help you Bijan?
Bijan: Zoya did you ever played ghar ghar (house house) in your childhood
(Ghar Ghar (House) - (The mandatory game everyone has willingly or forcefully played. Though the game is typically associated with girls, our tired guy friends made up good stories to participate too either as a father, uncle, brother or husband!)
Zoya looks at Bijan in disbelief like what is she asking. All of them were confused why Bijan is asking this question to Zoya. Zoya just nobs her head in yes with confusion and Bijan smiled at her and stood up from the chair and hugged her. Zoya was taken back but when Bijan pulled back she told
Bijan: Zoya I want you to remember that and act with me. So in short let play that game again.
Everyone in that room was shocked would be an understatement. Nobody thought Bijan would say something like this. It's so childish behavior when a woman in her mid-fifty does something like this.
Saad looked to Bijan in shock and asked in a whisper near Bijan's ear so that nobody can listen
Saad: Bijan what are you doing. We have come here for a marriage proposal and you...
Bijan did not allow him to complete and said
Bijan: Trust me Saad you will enjoy this.
There was a glimpse of happiness and excitement in her eyes so Saad let it go as he trusted her. Bijan faced to Zoya and said
Bijan: Zoya beta I will knock on the door and you will open it and then prepare your instant dialogue and go with the flow.
Zoya too was a drama queen like Saad so she was too excited and clapped her hand once in excitement and said
Zoya: Bijan I will try my level best to go with the flow but in case if something goes wrong then you continue or mouth me I will follow you.
Bijan hugged her due to happiness and everyone was excited to see this. As nobody thought that three doctors, two mafia men, a multimillion businessman, an interior designer, and a broken girl will ever see something like this.
Zoya, Zara, Yusuf has played this game in their childhood even Mahira has played with her mother but khan brothers did not as they are boys and Zarin could not because of her stepmother. It was making everyone excited
Bijan stood up from her chair and told Saad to follow her and be with her continuously which Saad accepted with happiness.
Bijan stood near the glass door along with Saad and pulled it little as if gesturing the door is closed and then knock it
Though Bijan had instructed her she still stood there. So Bijan explained her after pulling the door again
Bijan: Zoya I'm knocking on your house door so you open it and welcome me inside. I'm here with my son
Zoya understood and quickly said
Zoya: Bijan sorry but now I understood and I will follow you and will act properly. Ok, Bijan who am I as a character.
Bijan: you are the girls elder sister friend as you are
And Zoya nobs her head happily. Seeing this Zara and Yusuf could not control and ask in unison
Zara and Yusuf: What about us Bijan?
Bijan smiled and said, "don't worry when I will take your name you also enter." On which Zara and Yusuf smiled exciting.
Bijan just nobs her head with the smiled and pulled the glass door again and knocks on it. Zoya came forward and open it and started to act her character
Zoya open the door and stood there and said
Zoya: Asslam Walikum
Bijan: Walikum Asslam
Zoya: ji kahiye (Yes say)
Bijan: kya yeh Mahira ka ghar hai (is this Mahira's house)
Zoya: ji aap kon (Yes but who are you)
Bijan: ji hum ne hi aapko phone kiya tha ki hum aaj ladki dekhne aane wale hai Dr. Yusuf ne kaha hoga is rishte ke bare mai (We had call you to say that today we are coming to see the girl Dr. Yusuf told about this proposal)
Zoya: ha ha, who kal aap the jis ne call kiya tha (O yes so that were you who had to call us yesterday)
Bijan: ha (Yes)
Zoya: I am sorry mai aap ko nahi janti thi is liye. Please aandar aaye (I'm sorry I did not know you. Please come in)
Zoya gave side to Bijan to walk in with her and said
Zoya: aap baithiye mai Mahira ko bulati hu (You sit I will call Mahira)
Bijan: ok lekin beta aap kon ho (Ok but who are you)
Zoya: ji aunty mai dr Zoya hu Mahira ki best friend. Mahira andar hai mai bulati hu. (I'm Dr. Zoya Mahira's best friend. she is inside I will call her)
Zoya went towards Mahira and brought her holding her arm
Zoya: Aunty yeh Mahira hai. (Aunty she is Mahira)
Bijan stood up and hug her and smile and continue the act
Bijan: Bahot pyari ho beta tum. Mai Bijan. Maine hi phone kiya tha Dr. Yusuf mere bade beta ka friend hai to unhone hi aap ki behan ke rishte ko lekar hum ko bataya tha. (Yu are to cute. I'm Bijan I only call you. Dr. Yusuf is a friend of my elder son so he suggested this alliance of your sister)
Zoya looked towards Saad and smiled and asked Bijan
Zoya: Aunty yeh Zaid hai. (Aunty is this Zaid?)
Bijan: Nahi beta yeh Zaid ka chota bhai hai Saad. Zaid aata hi hoga. Saad jara apne bhai ko phone kar ke pucho kaha hai. Habi tak aaya kyu nahi. Beta who CEO hai to kaam mai busy hota hai. (No no, he is Saad Zaid's younger brother, Zaid is the CEO so he is busy. Saad call your brother and ask where is he?)
Mahira: It's ok aunty koi problem nahi we will wait (It's ok aunty there is n problem we will wait)
Bijan smiled at her and Saad removed his cell phone and called Zaid which made everyone look at Saad like he has grown two heads.
Zaid: Why are you calling me in real?
Saad: Come on bhai it is so exciting please don't spoil this mood and answer my call.
Zaid nob his head and picked up with a smile,
Saad: Zaid bhai where are you we have reached their house and everyone is waiting for you.
Zaid thought for few second what to say but then decided to come up with a common excuse as most of the people do.
Zaid: Saad I will be there in two minutes as I'm at the corner of the street.
Saad: Ok bhai. Allah hafiz
Zaid: Allah Hafiz
Zaid smiled at it and was enjoying this. After a minute he came and stood beside Bijan and Bijan hit her forehead with her palm which made Zaid look in confusion and asked
Zaid: What happed Bijan?
Bijan: Go to the door and knock and then come in after they open the door as we are a guest here in their house.
Everyone chuckled at this. It was a hospital private room but Bijan's acting was making everyone feel that this all is a reality that they are at some random girls house for a marriage proposal for their son.
Zaid followed Bijan's instruction and stood near the glass door and knock and Zoya open it
Zoya: Asslam Walikum. Ji aap kon? (she greeted him and asked who are you?)
Zaid: Walikum Asslam. Ji mai Zaid Khan meri family aai hai aap ke yaha par. (he greeted back and said that he is Zaid Khan and his family has come here)
Zoya: You are welcome, please come we all were waiting for you.
Zoya gave a side to Zaid to walk in and Saad stood up and made Zaid sit on his chair and Saad stood behind Bijan.
Bijan looked towards Mahira and said
Bijan: Mahira beta inse milo yeh mera beta Zaid, Zaid Khan. He is CEO in Khan industries. (Mahira meet him he is my son Zaid Khan)
She told it with pride as a lot of the groom's mother does when they go to see a girl.
Mahira: aap ko mil kar aach laga (It was nice to meet you)
Zaid: Muje bhi. (me too)
Mahira: Khan Industries ka bahot bada name hai. Aap to bahot busy rehte ho ge. (Khan Industries name is very big you must have been very busy all the time)
Zaid: yes very true. Mai normally busy hi rehta hu (Yes t it true I remain busy all the time)
Mahira: To kya aap meri sister ko time de payege. (will you be able to give time to my sister)
Everyone was shocked to hear this question which Mahira asked. It took them few seconds to register her meaning behind it and once they understood a huge smile was there on everyone's face.
Mahira was acting as a caring mother who was worried about her daughter's happiness. She never wanted her princess to suffer. She wanted the best for her princess. Though she knew it was Zaid in front of her but if you say about acting then he was some random guy whom she does not know. So she has to be careful about her princess and ask proper questions till she gets satisfied.
Zaid looked at Mahira and said with confidence
Zaid: Mahiraji I won't give false promises but I will try my level best to keep your sister happy and give her maximum time and will be an understanding spouse and will support her to full fill her dreams.
Mahira smiled at him knowing he will be true to his words. Mahira then looked towards Bijan and smiled so Bijan took this as a approval and continue.
Bijan: Mahira beta please call your sister, we want to meet her.
Mahira nobs with a smile and was about to say something, but her words remain in her mouth as Zoya spoke before her in excitement.
Zoya: Ji aunty I'm bringing her. Mahira you stay here.
Mahira nobs her head and Zoya went towards a cupboard where these days Mahira's dresses were kept. She opened it and remove a dupatta and then closing the door she turns towards the counter where her purse was and removed something from it and turns towards Zarin's bed.
She stood in front of Zarin in such a way that Zoya's back was faced to everyone and Zarin's face cannot be seen. Zoya took a wipe and cleaned her face then gave her pink color lip balm to apply so her lips make shine in natural pink color and took the dupatta opening it and set it on her head and from her one-shoulder the end flowing down.
She made her look like normally how the girls come out to see the groom's side members on the first meeting. After Zoya was satisfied she slowly turns around and said
Zoya: yeh liziye Zarin aa gai (see Zarin came)
