you checked your hair and outfit for the last time before you headed into the cinema hall and called Jun Woo of his whereabouts.
"Yeah I'm here at the cinemas, where are you?" you turned around looking for him before someone jumped in front of you startling you, once you collected yourself, you looked at the person in front of you.
"right here" Jun Woo smiled looking right into your eyes and waving his phone letting out a little laugh. his face way too close for comfort making you take a step back.
"you scared me!" you scowled at him and hit his arm without any strength. and he chuckled at how cute you were.
"so what movie are we watching?" you asked him, since he was the one who invited you, he was also the one who chose the movie.
flashing the tickets excitedly, he showed them to you "Friday the 13th. a classic"
"but it's only 10 A.M.?" you looked at your watch confused, a horror movie in the morning? that was an unusual choice but you didn't mind it.
"it doesn't matter once you're inside, the lights go out, time doesn't matter. it's all the same" Jun Woo replied as if it was not a big deal and made complete perfect sense. it did convince you, it would be freezing cold and dark in there anyway no matter the time.
"alright but the food is on me today!" you insisted, heading to the snack bar buying your usual favorites, a tub of popcorn and a coke for each of you.
instead of waiting until the two of you got in and for the movie to start, Jun Woo was already munching on the popcorn. you gently slapped his hand to stop him from taking anymore, "don't cry in the middle of the movie when there is no popcorn left. you always do this"
Jun Woo just pouted in response, being used to his antics and unable to stay mad at him, you fed a popcorn to him saying it was the last one for the time being.
the two of you sat down in your seats and the lights dimmed out, playing the movie.
once it got colder, you could sense your friend huddled up deeper into his seat, noticing that, you took out a shawl out of your bag and wrapped it around the two of you, telling him to get closer.
"Of course. you're always prepared Haru" Jun Woo looked at you impressed.
"I know, I'm the best" you playfully blew at your fingernails and polished them against your shirt.
the two of you laughed and went back to watching the movie. Jun Woo found the scenes where the victims were tortured and killed funny and laughed at them, that made you feel less scared about it. it wasn't like you were scared of horror movies, you didn't really react much to it but then again there was a small lining of fear inside you which was natural and only made you human.
although what made you a little scared today was not the gruesome parts in the movie but the person sitting next to you finding it amusing, if one didn't know what he was watching, they'd assume he was just watching a comedy.
Jun Woo had always been like that, it didn't bother you much except for sometimes during the serious parts, when the tension would be building up he'd scare you as a prank sometimes, making you jump in your seat and almost cursing at him.
as the movie was ending and the credits were rolled, the two of you still sat there, finishing the snacks and drinks.
"he reminds me of you" you said popping a popcorn into your mouth.
Jun Woo looked at you in question.
"Jason" you spoke up, explaining your comment, "He wears an ice hockey mask, you like playing ice hockey. you share the same name too! it's funny. those aren't the only reasons... but somehow there is this vibe. I can't really explain it, it's kind of sad"
you were annoyed that you can't put your thoughts and feelings about the similarities into words.
saying nothing you two got up with the empty tub and cups, throwing them into the disposal as soon as you exited out of the room.
"what do you want to eat for lunch?" you looked up at the taller guy next to you.
"anything is fine. maybe a burger? or pizza seems good too" he answered as the two of you entered the food court.
"let's get both of them then!" you exclaimed and and he looked at you in surprise.
"really? can you finish it? I can eat it, but can you?" he asked bewildered.
"did you really forget about my superpower? I can make food disappear like this!" you snapped your fingers exaggerating.
"oh now can you? come here" Jun Woo tickled you a little bit teasing you. you yelped and laughed until you stopped him saying you were in public. the fun was short lived and died soon when you two placed your orders. each of you waiting for the food in the different outlets.
you two sat down at a table with you placing the tray of burgers down and Jun Woo putting down the pizza. you unwrapped his burger and handed it to him while he opened the pizza carton, placing it in the center of the table.
you both dived into eating and enjoyed the meal, joking around and laughing, gossiping of the things in your workplaces and remembering old memories as well. the two of you just talked random things until you laid back into the chair, both of you full and exhausted of eating.
you spent the rest of the day at an arcade playing games. it was a tie and you bickered on who won at most games and about who was better. you let him win to avoid his whining.
it sure was a great day. you missed these days which are filled with joy that are the most precious to you.
...
you decided to take a bus back home, tired of traveling from the car all the time. and it was also a good reason to digest all the food you ate today.
Jun Woo walked alongside of you. and the two of you waited at the bus stop.
"why don't you come over? my house is nearby too" he suddenly invited you. it took you a while to process it since he never really invited you into his house. sure, you dropped him off a couple times but the two of you didn't really visit each other's houses.
your reason being your family and there never really came a reason to visit him.
"sure" you accepted. "it's not everyday that I get a chance to come over. I'm also curious of how it looks"
"but what's the occasion?" you asked inquisitively.
"why? can't I invite the girl I like to come over?" he answered as if it was the most obvious thing. but that was like a missile had been thrown right down at your head.
"excuse me, what?" you got up and looked at him in disbelief, still not registering his words.
"don't worry. I won't do anything. I'm a gentleman." he said, getting up seeing that the bus had arrived and the doors opened.
"come on. get in" he turned his head to you, telling you to get in the bus as he climbed the vehicle himself.
it took a few more seconds but you followed him into the bus, sitting down next to him.
your face was all red from the sudden confession. was it real or all just a dream?
the day was going too well. it was all too perfect, and that was suspicious.
getting over at the the confession you looked at your friend next to you with skeptical eyes.
"what? why are you looking at me like I kidnapped your cat?" he asked defensively.
"it doesn't feel real. are you really Jun Woo?" you asked pulling his cheeks to check.
he squealed in pain with his hands reaching out to hold yours and pulling them away.
"Of course it's me! who else do you think it is?!" he cried out, "now stay still and don't act like I've grown a second head. if you're going to reject me, do it tomorrow. I'm too tired today"
"I won't" you said and he looked at you in surprise. you smiled at him, "I wasn't planning to anyway"

[A/N: okay, I suck at lovey dovey stuff. that was probably cringe or awkward. also I'm more surprised about the movie I chose, I really pulled up Netflix and chose Friday the 13th by random. I never even watched a movie of the series but then as I was writing, the similarities between Han Seok and Jason just hit me. especially the one scene with him hitting the prosecutor to death with the hockey stick? wow that was just wow.]
