Naina's voice over...
9 months.... these 9 months are such a beautiful time for a woman. To have a life inside you growing each passing moment. To feel it start to become so big that it can now kick and respond to your sound. To be able to bear so much pain just for the music of ur kids cry and giggles.
I still remember my first 9 months as if they happened yesterday. The struggles, the cute moments, Sameer and family's care everything about it was cherishable.
Naina's voice over ends....
it's been 2 months since Naina found out she as pregnant. She still remembered her family's reaction to hearing this news. Chachaji and Rakesh were on the moon. Chachiji was so emotional realizing that the Naina that was just a baby in her arms few years ago is now herself going to have a baby. Arjun, Juhi everyone was delighted on this news. The Maheshwari/Somani had became very protective of Naina. Poonam used to tell Naina how Mamiji wouldn't let her do anything when she was pregnant with Raghav. Well the situation was way worse here. Sameer was being very protective of Naina. If it was his decision she wouldn't get up from bedrest still the 9 months ended. Thank god to Vishaka and Mamiji was making him understand that walking around and doing few things helps in pregnancy.
As if now Naina was laying on her bed staring at the dark ceiling. She could hear the slight snores of her husband next to her. She looked at the clock next to her and saw that it was 4:30 in the morning. From the past 1 hour she is trying to sleep but couldn't. Why you may ask. The answer was simple. Cravings. She was having her first ever craving of Mango ice cream.
After one hour of trying to suppress her craving, she gave up and sat on the bed sighing. Feeling the moment, even Sameer got up and looked at her.
Sameer:(Sleepy husky voice)"Ky..kya hua Naina. Sab theek hai na"
Naina:"Kuch theek nahi hai"
Sameer:(Getting alert)"Kya hua. dard ho raha hai..Vomit aa rahi hai?"
Naina:"Nahi..bhook lag rahi hai"(she said like a kid)
Sameer:"Bhook?...me kitchen se kuch leke aata hoon"
Naina:"Nahi..muhje ice cream kahana hai...mango ice cream "
Sameer:"Naina subhe 4 bhaje ice cream kaun khata hai..hum din me ice cream kha lenge abhi me tumhare liye dhood leke aata hoon"
Naina:"No no no...ice cream hi chahiye."
Sameer:"Naina per"
Naina:"Sameer me yahan itni considerate thi aur tumhe 1 ghante se utha nahi rahi thi ki tumhari neend nahi kharab ho aur tum...mere liye ice cream bhi nahi la sakte..kaise pati ho"
Sameer:"I...a...okay fine but sirf ek cup"
Naina:(Changing her expressions from a sulking face to a grinning face)"Really...I love you mera sona mona"(She said pulling his cheek)
Sameer:(Amused)"sona mona?"
Naina:"Haan ab jao jaldi se ice cream Lao...fast fast"
Sameer nodded smiling as he headed down to get her icecream...no no no...mango icecream. Sameer was enjoying this behavior of Naina. Usually in their relationship he was the one who acted like a child or baby and she was always the one who pampered him. He was the one who demanded things, but after her pregnancy Sameer was finally getting a chance of pamper Naina. He was getting a chance to see a side of Naina which was babyish, demanding, cute, and quiet frankly he was enjoy it.
3 months later...
Naina was in her 5th month of pregnancy. Her stomach had started to show a little. Luckily things like morning sickness had lessened but her craving only grew. Her hormones were also all over the place. One second She would be happy about something and the next seconds tears would be falling from her eyes.
Today Naina was sitting in the living room watching a movie with Vivek and Romeer while Vishaka and Preeti were in the kitchen. Naina wanted to help but everyone prohibited her so she settled down on the couch next to Sameer.
Bazigar's ending scene was playing where Srk's character was in kajol's arms dying and his mother comes running in. Sameer sat there watching the scene when he felt wetness on his chest. He looked down to see Naina looking at the screen with tears flowing her eyes.
Sameer:(pulling back and cupping her face)"Naina...kya hua jaan"
Naina:"Woh..sha...s"(She tried to say as tear rolled her eyes)"me nahi roh rahi toh tears aapne aap nikal rahe hai"
Sameer chuckled pulling her into a hug while Rohan and Vivek smiled at them. Vishaka, who came out to keep the snakes on the table saw this and said.
Vishaka:"Tum log kaise movie chalake rakhe ho. Naina pregnant hai jaldi emotional ho jayegi. Ese scenes me rona toh aayega na usse"
Rohan:"Bhabhi aao roye mat hum kuch aur lagate hain"(He said changing the channel to another movie)
2 Months later...
Naina was now in her 7th month of pregnancy. Last month she got the news that Preeti was pregnant as well. Both Naina and Preeti were extremely excited to have babies within few months difference. Everyone in the house was delighted on this news.
Naina's stomach had fully started to show. They had gotten a sonography of the baby as well. Ofcourse the gender wouldn't be revealed until birth. Naina's pregnancy was going healthy.
Currently she was seated in her room writing some drafts for stories to show her boss. Naina was almost finished with a particular story. Sameer and Naina had decided that she would finish this story and then take a leave. Paternity leave for few months.
Paternity leave was a new thing which had came out few months ago. It was a law that allowed men to get 2-3 weeks of around the time of their wife's delivery or adoption to be able to help support their partners and take care of the kid. Though at the time most girls didn't work much, especially after marriage so the rules stated nothing about women. Having a great boss, Naina was able to get this leave for few months before she head back to work.
Sameer:"Naina..."(He said entering the room with toys in his hands)
Naina:"Sameer maine kitni baar bola hai ki yeh sab mat laao. Ek pura Kamara bhar ke toys rakhen hai baby ke liya."
Sameer:"Naina mera pehela baby hai pamper toh karna banta hai na"
Naina:"Haan tum usko pamper kar kar ne bigardo aur me kya karon"
Sameer:"Tum usko sudaro waise bhi Naina devi toh tum hi ho"(He said teasing her)
Naina:"Sameer."(Naina said throwing a cushion at him)
Sameer:"okay meri jaan I am kidding"(He said sitting next to her)"Waise kya kar rahi ho"
Naina:"Ending likh rahi hoon per kuch smaj hi nahi aa raha"
Sameer:"Naina tumhari har story unique hoti hai unki endings bhi unique hoti hai toh uski bhi hogi. Aao me help karon"
Naina:(Giving the paper to Sameer)"Muhje ending me kuch esa chahiye ki woh simple ho but it wraps up the story"
Sameer:"Naina mere hisab se we should rush the ending. Aaj kal ke shows ki story buhut acchi reheti hai. Lekin they rush the ending. Kyuna tum ek pura episode lo ending ke liye. Aur saare main character aur side characters ko unki ending do"
Naina:"Idea toh accha hai. Aur mere demaag me ek ending be hai sabke liye but main character ka kya karon samaj nahi aa raha"
Sameer:"Show a simple day in their life aur ending me kuch esa kardo ki they have a family moment."
Naina:"Ek min ider do(She took the pen and paper from his hand and started writing. After 30 mins she showed him the results)"Kaisa hai"
Sameer:(Smiled as he finished reading)"Accha hai. Best ending hai. Tum final touches kar dena kal tak me tumhare boss ko de aaonga"
Naina:"Okay Thank you"(She said kissing his cheeks)
Sameer:"Madam bus isse kaam nahi chalega"
Naina:"Toh phir"
Sameer cupped her face and look her into a passionate kiss. After few mins of kissing, he broke the kiss and kissed her forehead.
Sameer:"I love you"
Naina:(Smiled)"I love you too .."
Samaina:(Keeping their hand on Naina's stomach)"And we love you three."(They both said looking at their hands before looking at each other)
2 months later....
Naina was in her 9th month of pregnancy. Her delivery date was also close. Sameer had taken leave from his office while Naina was already on leave for the past 2 months. Moving around and doing normal things had become really hard for Naina. She started getting tired easily. Everyone around her was very careful because they knew her due date was near.
Preeti was also in her 3rd month of pregnancy. Pandit and Amrita had just celebrated 1 year of their marriage last month. Munna and Swati were also doing great with their marriage.
Currently Naina and Preeti were sitting on the sofa with Swati and Amrita. The boys were in the kitchen cooking. They decided to let the ladies rest for today. Vishaka and Vivek had gone out to meet a client for dinner at a restaurant. Mamiji and Mamaji had taken raghav outside while poonam and her husband went on a date outside.
Sameer:"aapka khane ki farmish tayar hai Madams"(He said coming outside with food in his hands)
He handed everyone their food along with the rest of the boys before they all settled down next to the girls.
Swati:"Aare wah yeh toh babut accha hai."
Sameer:"Ab kya kare pregnant wifes ki farmish puri karte karte hum bhi chef ban gaye kyun rohan"(He said high fiving Rohan who nodded)
Munna:"Ehh frock wali pandit me pehele hi bol de raha hoon. humse kaam karwa lena, Massage kar walena. per khana na bane wala muhjse"(Swati blushed and hit him on the shoulder while others laughed)
After everyone finished eating, They again settled down in the Hall chatting.
Amrita:"Naina muhje na agle hafte dahi bhale bane hai. Maaji ke dost aa rahe hai dinner pe per yaar muhjse dahi bhale nahi bante. tune last time banaya tha toh kitna accha bana tha. Help kar degi meri"
Naina:"Haan chinta mat kar me aake bata dongi ya phir phone se hi call karke bata dongi"
Amrita:"Thanks"
Naina:"aur waise bhi woh...ahhhhhh.. "(She stopped her sentence in mid and held her stomach)
Preeti:"Naina?"
Naina:"Sa..Sameer "(She said as she stood up slowly holding her stomach and liquid fell from to the floor)
Preeti:"Jijajiii"(Preeti yelled as the boys rushed in. Sameer ran and held Naina)
Sameer:"Naina kya hua..kahin baby"
Naina:(yelling in pain)"Han Sameer baby aa raha hai..doc...doctor"
Sameer:"I..ah...Rohan gardi nikal aur Woh bag"
Preeti:"Don't worry jijaji aap jao me bag leke aati hoon"
Pandit:"Hum bhi aate hai peeche tu ja jaldi"
Sameer:"sabko call bhi kar dena"(he said as picked up Naina in his arms and rushed to the Hospital)
After 20 mins of drive they finally reached the hospital where Naina was taken in to the delivery ward. Sameer was allowed to be with her while others had to wait outside. Rohan filled the documents out and waited for others to reach while inside Naina was screaming in pain and Sameer looked at her helplessly trying to find a way to help her.
