Avneet stayed in her room all morning. Siddharth felt anxious. He was seated patiently on the couch. The TV was on but his attention was elsewhere. He had looked uncountable times over her room expecting the door to open up. But every time he was disappointed. He was really concerned about her. 'Why is she suddenly behaving like this? She is so closed off with me. It makes me feel weird. I want her to talk with me. I can't handle her sadness.' He thought closing his eyes with a sigh and plopping his head back to rest on the couch.
He tried thinking of ways to get her back like before. He wanted her to be happy. He thought of many ways but every time he came of short. After brainstorming lots of ways he finally got a plan. He opened his eyes immediately and smiled at nothing in particular. 'This could actually work.' He thought hopefully.
When it was lunchtime Siddharth was almost nervous about the whole thing he planned. He was continuously looking over his watch and glancing at her door. When he was confirmed about she will not be coming outside he sighed and went over to her door. He stood in front of her door. He took a deep breath and knocked. He could hear some commotions inside her room before the door was opened. There she was looking sleepy and half-closed eyes. She rubbed her eyes and looked up at him confusedly.
"I...uhm... Let's go out?..... For lunch?" He stammered with faint pink cheeks scratching the back of his head awkwardly. She looked at him for a second and quickly looked down with shifting on her legs uncomfortably.
"I-I...can we not? Please?" She asked as politely as possible. His face fell considerably. He bit his lip and nodded slowly. His mind screaming at him to comfort her.
"I-I just want to stay here and rest." She added quickly not wanting to make him sad. Her heart aching to get closer to him. He gulped and looked at her.
"It's fine. We can order food." He said forcing out a smile. She hesitantly nodded her head clutching on the door handle. He turned around and walked away. She immediately closed her door and leaned her back on it. She clutched her chest over her heart to calm it down. 'I'll have to go outside for lunch. I can't ignore him like this totally. He is my bodyguard.' She thought taking in a shaky breath. She went to the washroom and freshened up. She tied her hair up in a messy bun and walked out of her room.
Siddharth was pleasantly surprised when he saw her coming to the living room. He had just received their lunch. He thought she would eat her lunch inside her bedroom but she proved him wrong. Both sat and ate their lunch in complete silence. He would glance towards her often. She was looking down at her plate the whole time. Not once she looked up at him. It made him upset. He didn't utter a word though. He wouldn't dare to make her uncomfortable in his presence.
After the remarkable silent lunch, she went back to her room forcing a smile on her face directed to him in acknowledgement. He too returned the gesture though she wouldn't look into his eyes. He sighed closing his eyes when he heard her door being shut. He sat on the couch disappointed. He knew he needed to work hard on this.' Something is definitely wrong. She seems so different. She was never like this before. She wouldn't even look at me in the eye. I need to get to the root of the problem.' He thought determined. He can't feel helpless. He had a new mission on his hand.
Next day~
Siddharth woke up early today. He felt hopeful today. He had planned a few things. Hopefully, he can lighten up her mood. He freshened up and took a relaxing shower. Yesterday was the same as before. She didn't walk out of her room. They had dinner in silence. And she returned to her room. He sighed sadly remembering her dull eyes. Her face void of any kind of happiness that scared him. He wanted to make her smile. Even if he needs to harm himself in the process, he would do it without any hesitation. He got out of the bathroom wearing fresh and comfortable clothes. He went to the living room and sat on a chair typing on his phone. He took out his special phone and dialled on it. He waited for a moment before it was answer.
"Sir." A voice answered strongly.
"Where is your position?" Siddharth asked without beating around the bush.
"Chhattisgarh. We arrived here two days ago. We have a new company." Siddharth's eyebrows shot up at this. He sat up.
"A new company?" He asked.
"She is Jai sir's childhood friend. Jai sir invited her himself. She is harmless sir. I checked it throughout." He explained. Siddharth thought for a moment. 'Jai is smart. He won't risk their cover so easily. And Vishal won't let her come if had any suspicion.' He thought furrowing his eyebrows.
"What's her name?" Siddharth asked after some time.
"Reem Sameer Sheikh." He replied.
"Okay. Keep me updated. And you have that switch. Press on it in emergencies." Siddharth said in an emotionless tone.
"Yes, sir," Vishal replied. Siddharth cut the call. He leaned back on the chair. 'Why did he invited another person when he is in danger himself?' He thought confused. He sighed and sat straight. He saw the time and his heart started beating fast. 'Okay, let's do this.' He thought confidently before standing up. He walked up to her door. Taking a deep breath he knocked on the door and waited. No response. After a minute he knocked again strongly this time. He heard some shuffling on the other side and he exhaled shakily. After a moment the door opened. A sleepy Avneet still wearing her pyjamas while rubbing her eyes with the back of her hand. A little frown on her forehead with a cute little pout visible on her lips. He snapped out of his trance immediately. 'Stop checking her out you fool and say something!' He shouted at himself mentally.
"Hey, good morning." He said with a warm smile. Her eyes widened and she took a step back. He noticed this and thought to ignore it for now.
"I-um....g-good morning." She mumbled looking away from his warm gaze which melted her insides. Her heart beating loudly in her chest. She was afraid he would be able to hear it.
"We're going out today." He said grinning down at her. She gulped seeing his bright smile. How she loved his smile. Her heart-squeezing painfully inside her chest.
"Wha-what?" She asked dumbfounded borrowing her eyebrows and tilting her head to the side. 'She is so fucking adorable.' He thought smiling at her lovingly without knowing. She looked away from his intent gaze which was piercing her soul. She didn't want to have the wrong idea. Though it hurt like hell.
"We're at Jaipur and you love to explore. We're going to spend our whole day exploring as much as we can. I've even researched about the tourist places around us overnight." He said grinning happily at her. Her heart bursting from love for this man in front of her. 'He did so much for me?' She thought in disbelief staring at him.
"Well, what are you waiting for? Go get ready. We're having breakfast outside today. There is a famous cafe nearby. We're going there." He said ushering her. She awkwardly scratched on her arm and shuffled on her feet.
"Erm....S-Siddharth....I-" he cut her off.
"No, I'm not taking any excuses. You've rested full day yesterday. I refuse to let this day go to waste. We will leave this area soon. So, hurry up and get ready. I'll be waiting for you in the living room." He said and turned on his heels leaving her gaping at his back.
She went back into her room closing the door. She let out a sigh walking to her bed. 'It looks like I don't have any other option. He looked so happy, I can't be the spoilsport. Plus he researched overnight looking for the places. I can't let his work go in vain.' She thought while getting an outfit for today. She didn't want to hurt his feelings. After brushing her teeth she took a quick shower and blow-dried her hair.

She tied up her hair in a messy bun with some loose strings. She applied little mascara and lipgloss. She took her bag and sunglasses. She walked out of her room with a deep breath. 'I can survive this.' She thought confidently. She walked to the living room where Siddharth was waiting leaning on the wall. She took a minute looking at him. Admiring him.

'God! He is so handsome.' She thought drooling inwardly. She didn't get a chance to admire his outfit earlier from the sudden surprise from him. She gulped and walked to him slowly looking down.
Siddharth grinned at her as soon as he saw her walking to him. He was so nervous when he was convincing her before. He was mentally scared of her reaction. Now she walked looking down. 'She looks beautiful.' He thought in a trance. If she looked up into his eyes, she could see all the emotions similar to hers. He got out of his thoughts.
"C'mon, let's go." He said walking ahead and opening the door for her. She followed him and got out. As soon as they got out, he stood beside her and walked by side of hers. He took her to the cafe. She was astonished to see the cafe. It was beautiful. He took the window table. She looked out and saw a beautiful garden. Her eyes widened a bit. 'Wow!' She thought surprised. Siddharth sat in front of her. He saw her face full of awe. Those dull eyes sparkling. His heart soared with love for this woman. He felt proud of himself. He didn't want to disturb her but the waiter came and she broke out of her trance. Both ordered their breakfast. The waiter left leaving them alone.
"So, did you like the cafe?" He asked with a small smile on his face expectantly. She wanted to smile seeing his face full of hope for her approval.
"Yes. It's beautiful." She replied softly looking down at her hands unable to hold the eye contact. She didn't want her heart to have the wrong hope.
"Good. Because we have a lot of places to explore." He said grinning at her widely.
