Chapter 27- Telling the firehouse

Natalie is over the moon at her engagement and she can't stop looking at her ring. Although something is on her mind and that is weather Kelly and Casey are going to be happy for her.
"So you gonna tell them?" Gallo asks
But Natalie doesn't respond as she is away in her own little world
"Natalie?" Gallo says raising his voice
"Yeah!" Natalie says snapping out of it
"What's up?" Gallo asks sitting next to her
"What if Casey and Kelly don't want me to get married?" Natalie says
"It's not their life Natalie! It's yours! Who cares what they think?" Gallo says putting his hand on her knee
"I know it's just I live with them Gallo! I'm a part of their team! Being a Luitenent and all! They've always been there for me! There opinion matters so much!" Natalie says
"I know they have! And it's up to you when you tell them!" Gallo says
"I know! I think I'll do it tomorrow on shift!" Natalie says smiling
"Okay!" Gallo says walking away a little annoyed
It's later that night and Gallo is out with Ritter
"Why does she need their input!" Gallo says as he angrily sips his beer
"They clearly mean a lot to her gallo!" Ritter says
"I'm her fiancé! She doesn't need to tell them everything or get their consent! They will ruin this for me!" Gallo says angrily
"Hey! That's your Luitenents your talking about! And may I mention that Natalie is still your Luitenent! You need to show them some respect!" Ritter says raising his voice a little
"I get that!" Gallo shouts
"You can't go in there all guns blazing! Because then you will put Natalie in a position she doesn't wanna be in! There your Luitenents gallo remember that!" Ritter says before walking away
It's the next morning and Natalie is on shift. She has called Kelly and Casey into her quarters
"What's up?" Casey asks
"Yeah your being funny!" Kelly says confused
"Well! You know how a couple of nights ago I went out with gallo?" Natalie asks
"Yeah?" They both say
"Well he asked me to marry him and I said yes!" Natalie says showing them her ring
"Congratulations Natalie! I'm so happy for you!" Casey says giving her a hug
Kelly stands for a minuet not sure how to react. He's not very happy about this news. But yet he doesn't know why. He's happy with Stella but Natalie holds a special place in his heart
"Umm yea! Congrats Natalie!" Kelly says smiling
Kelly then walks out before Natalie can say anything
