Natalie wakes up and nearly everything is destroyed. Luckily the bomb didn't hit her but the other guy was blown to pieces.
"Is everyone okay?" Natalie shouts
"What could you possibly do about it!" A man shouts
"I'm a firefighter! I can help!" Natalie says slowly getting up
"Help! My son! He's trapped!" A woman calls out
Natalie runs over to discover a little boys leg trapped under a piece of wood
"Hey! You! Come here and help me pull this!" Natalie says pointing to that rude man
"And why should I help them?" The man calls out
"He's a kid! He's still got the rest of his life to live and unless you come and help me I'll make sure you don't make it out of here alive! Now stop being such an ass and get over here!" Natalie shouts
The man quickly runs over and helps to lift it
"Where does it hurt honey!" Natalie asks
"My leg!" The boy says
"Okay! I'm Natalie! What's your name?" Natalie asks
"I'm Peter and this is my mum Donna!" Peter says shaking
"Okay well Peter! I need you to be really brave for me okay! See that little girl over there?" Natalie says pointing to a little girl crying
"Yeah?" Peter says looking at the girl
"She needs to see you being brave! So that she knows she gonna be okay! Can you do that for me?" Natalie asks
"Yeah! I think so!" Peter says
"Good!" Natalie says smiling
"And how are you mum?" Natalie whispers to Donna
"I just feel like a horrible mum! He doesn't deserve this!" Donna says looking at Peter
"Look something like this happened to me when I was in my teenage years! I blamed my mum everyday for what happened! I was nearly not able to become a firefighter! I never told my mum that it wasn't her fault! She carried around that guilt for years! She died a few years ago and it kills me everyday that I never got to tell her! So have a conversation with Peter after we get out! I don't want the same thing happening to you two!" Natalie says smiling
"Okay! Thank you Natalie!" Donna says as she sits next to Peter
*At the Firehouse*
"That's weird!" Kelly says
"Huh? What's weird?" Casey replies
"Natalies not back yet! And she would never miss a shift!" Kelly says confused
"I'll call her! Maybe she got bad news?" Casey says as he pulls out his phone
The phone just rings out and goes to Natalies answer machine.
"That's weird! It's not like her not to pick up her phone?" Casey says worried
"Hey Luitenents! Get in here!" Cruz shouts as they run in
"A bomb has gone off at St.Western Hospital today! Reports are that over 10 people are injured. There is known to be a firefighter trapped inside alongside doctors and nurses. The firefighter is known to be a Luitenent for the Chicago Fire Department" The news lady says
"That's Natalie!" Gallo says
"Suit up!" Boden says as they all run out
