"Lumine.... Jean...?"
The two girls looked at shock as blood dripped from the handle on his spear "(Y/N)! Are yo-!" Lumine ran up to him only to be grabbed by Jean "(Y/N)... Are you out of your mind?" He slowly looked at Jean "...You got a problem... With me rescuing people?" He weakly asked as the group of survivors slowly went closer to him to receive the heat of the makeshift flag
"Rescuing people? They're Fatui!" Jean shouted, (Y/N) started to glare at her "Just because they are fatui... Doesn't mean I shouldn't... Help them!" He weakly shouted back before stabbing the makeshift flag on the ground. And slowly started to walk towards the two girls
He leaned down to grab Kurume's sword, who tried to take it back but her weak grip made her lose her hold of the sword, (Y/N) slowly takes up a combat pose "As a flag raiser... My job is to support those who are in need..." He wobbles for a bit, but soon regained his strength "...I don't care if you brand me as a criminal... All I wanted is for people to be safe... And if it requires me to duel you to death..." He takes a deep breath and takes off the sheath of Kurume's sword "...So be it"
"...Very well" Jean replies in a serious tone before spawning her sword "Jean?!?" Lumine panicked as she looks at the two who's blades are drawn to each other, before in a second. Jean quickly rushed in and did a huge swing to the left of (Y/N). He quickly tried to party the attack but his blood loss made him duck instead and resort to kicking Jean down
Jean immediately blocked the kicked and stomp on (Y/N)'s foot, causing him to scream in pain "Jean! Please sto-" Lumine was interrupted by shock at the sight of Jean jumping backwards to avoid an arrow from Ganyu "...So you also sided with him..." Jean says as she watched Ganyu slowly stand (Y/N) up
"...Milord's tasks has not yet been achieved..." Ganyu says as she spawns another arrow in her hand "I would appreciate if you wouldn't harm Milord" she adds as she readies her bow "Even if I am not prepared for close quarters, you'll find yourself impaled in arrows in a few seconds" Jean only stares are her for a second before leaning in to use her ability
"Can you... Really call yourself a knight...?"
She stopped and stared at (Y/N) who was tearing up "A knight's duty... Is to protect people..." He told her as he limps to her "A knight's duty... Is to preserve justice..." Jean continued to be in her stance as (Y/N) limped towards her "is killing them... Count as something heroic...? To kill people who strive to survive... In a dangerous place like this... They defied their country... Went on a harsh way just to get their freedom... And what are you going to do?...kill them...? Take their freedom..?" He says before stopping in front of Jean, her blade is touching his neck "Commiting a war crime is different than staying true to a knight's oath" he says weakly before grabbing her blade
"Do you have what it takes... To kill a person who's trying to help people... In this cruel world"
Jean stopped in a moment before slowly lowering her sword "...I don't" she says as she stared at the ground "Good... Then can I atleast-"
"But why? Why risk your own life?" She interrupted him as she stared at him "You're bleeding, Don't you atleast think of what we think on your actions?" She questions him with a disheartening voice "...I do think, but in the end... I couldn't die if I still had Mana...so I thought you guys wouldn't mind-"
A loud slap echoed through the mountain
(Y/N) finds himself laying on the snow "DIDN'T YOU KNOW WE WERE WORRIED ABOUT YOU?!? EVEN IF YOU CANT DIE, DO YOU KNOW HOW WE FEEL IF WE COULDN'T EVEN PROTECT YOU?!?" Jean shouts at him as tears flew out of her eyes, he slowly rolled over to look at Jean "Why...do you go so far... For a person who's just being used as a pawn...?"
Jean stares at him as he continued to speak "... What's there to protect... When pawns are used as disposable shields to a devilish plan...?" He weakly said before he stared at the sky "...if your going to kill me... At least promise me their safe.....ty..." His words slowly got quieter as he began to close his eyes
"(Y/N)?!? Hey (Y/N)!" Lumine quickly rushed to him and knelt down as he continued to shake him "...If it's come to this" Kurume's voice got the attention of Jean. Kurume slowly crawled her way before stopping a few meters away from Jean "I beg of you, to take my life instead of my family"
"Leader! Are you crazy?!?"
"Don't do this leader!"
"Take my life instead!"
Groups of people complained as they begged for Kurume to stop "Shut it, all of you" Kurume's word immediately made them quiet "If it's to secure the safety of the rest as well as the savior, them I am willing to sacrifice my own life" she said in a tone of seriousness before looking up at Jean "Please, at least save family!" She shouted as she knelt to the ground
Jean stares at the Kurume for a little while before laughing "You people really know how to beg!" She laughs before glowing "although it is sad that I cannot provide the shelter you wish for" She said before the light covering her disappeared, revealing Gaia in her bikini "E-eh?!? G-gaia?" Lumine stuttered as she looked up and down trying to confirm if she wasn't hallucinating, Kurume and her followers stared in shock as the goddess of life slowly moved away from Kurume and to (Y/N)
"He has grown so well... Don't you agree?" She said before touching (Y/N)'s hand, causing it to glow green for a second before returning to normal "He knows that he can abuse the system, He knows he is in a cycle...and he even knows that he's just a pawn in a chess game~" She giggles for a second before sadistically smiling "Fufufu~ this is what Humans like you interesting after all~ to defy the cycle you are all in~! Aaah~ Just thinking of you despairing as you watch people around you disappear is just!" She stops smiling for a second before shaking her head "...I am glad to have taken such Acting classes, they really paid off didn't they?" She said to herself before snapping her finger, causing Lumine, Ganyu, Kurume, and Kurume's Followers to be drowsy and fall asleep
"I'm sorry My dear, But your not allowed to ruin the fun~" she says before laughing once again "...if only you didn't use something stupid like a blood oath then maybe you would had noticed my disguise!" She proudly brags before sighing and began sweating "Now how do I get you all to safety..."

[ Jean's PoV ]
I had a few guards follow me up to the huge tree in Windrise after receiving a message from... Gaia
"Dear Jean,
I Apologise for taking your identity once again, I just checked something out so it wasn't a big deal! But I feel compelled to give you something in return, so please go to Windrise, I left you a bunch of gifts!
This would be my last visit in this world before I disappear, thank you for everything

Ever since he appeared, weird things has been happening through Liyue and Mondstadt...the crime rate on Mondstadt has reduced to the point of crime being non existent, the stares the guards received when they got their new armor from him intensified...
And then there's the case of Fatui agents suddenly giving up and letting themselves get arrested... It's all weird...

The closer I got a look at the crowd, the more it raised suspicion for me, is this her gift? I don't understand... "Jean, could you find them a safe place to stay?" (Y/N) asked as he stabs his flag into the ground (Weird... I could had sworn he had a spear...) While pointing at the group of Fatui he had with him
"...Do you plan on sheltering them? Are you in your right mind, (Y/N)" I asked as I raised an eyebrow as I stared at the Fatui "Well, what else do you think I'm gonna do with em? I'm not a war criminal you know, I'm a tax eva-" he stops speaking for a moment "Evaluator! Yeah! I evaluate taxes of course!" Really now...?
"Didn't you already tell me that you despise tax?"
He begins sweating and looked away from me... (Y/N)....
I sighed and placed my hand on my head as I tried and figure out what he's trying to do. How he got into contact with this much Fatui agents, I don't know, nor will I ever find out...

My focus quickly shifted to a girl next to him (Why is there always girls beside him...?), She slowly looks up to me with a defeated face "I know... Signora's Plan..." My eyes widened as she spoke "they... The gnosis they'll.. urgh.." The girl suddenly knelt to the ground trying to catch her breath, (Y/N) immediately tried to support her up "I read manga alot that I know where this is going, there's some weird kind of curse that's preventing you from speaking right?" Where have I heard the word 'manga' before...?

"...yes" she says before (Y/N) pats her head before lowering her down "Don't Tell then, I'm pretty sure that Jean will find a way to get that info out of your mouth without hurting you, Right?" He looked at me with anticipation, Although he thinks he said something good, he's scaring the Fatui members by literally suggesting torture methods
"B-but sire!"
One of the Fatui members reached out to him "Yeah?" He quickly turned around and faced the guy "You said you'd bring us to safety!" He nods with a smile on his face "Duh! I'm bringing you to safety aren't I?" ...(Y/N) I really think you shouldn't had said what you have said earlier...

I quickly walked to (Y/N) and grabbed his hand that was holding the flag, revealing a huge scar across it "What the hell (Y/N)?!?!" I shout at him as he turned around this time to look at me , how did he get an injury this big?!?! "Oh... Don't worry, it'll be fine as long as I don't make a stupid dialogue regarding about my hand used on a blood oath!" He laughs as I stared at him like he was some crazed lunatic "why would you do such a thing...?" I asked as I gestured the guards to fetch me some medical supplies
"well, I have to use skills you know?" He says as he points at himself with a proud smile "So yeah I did a blood oath!" I... Need to ask more about that...
"Ah... Lumine!" I spot Lumine in the distance dragging a board alongside with Ganyu "Jean!" She instantly waves at me as I treated (Y/N)'s hand
"...You know, I never thought using bandages as a glove would look cool!" That's not what you should be focusing on at the moment...
"What do we have here...?"
A voice suddenly appeared, causing me to summon my sword as I tried to look for the culprit "Kurume... I had thought you were loyal... It seems that I had thought wrong" the voice seemed to be nearer now, I slowly got prepared to ambush the attacker the moment they appear "Lady Signora....I" Kurume spoke a little bit before I swung my sword upward to deflect a stab going for her head "My and you seek safety to the knights? So you really think your safety is guaranteed?"
Without a warning, Armed Fatui members surrounded us, crossbows were pointed at us as well as lances and sword
"Tell me Kurume, Are you their Savior? Or are you the Traitor?"
