the quartet were in the living room crammed into dreams couch watching after. none of them were partially enjoying the movie but it was fun seeing how much of it they could get through before having to turn it off.
"have you never been touched before?" sapnap repeated in a mocking tone, "in what world would this happen?"
sapnap seemed to be getting a lot more second hand embarrassment than the others.
"stop watching if it bothers you that much." george said nonchalantly.
"no way, i'm not giving in first." he crossed his arms.
"i don't know you seen pretty close to breaking." belle remarked.
"i'll break you in a minute." he shot back.
"calm down jamal." she joked.
...
"that was terrible." george complained after the credits started rolling.
"rotten tomatoes says otherwise." dream laughed.
"rotten tomatoes is wrong." george huffed.
"tomatoes." sapnap repeated in a british accent.
"shut up cowboy." he scoffed.
"this movies really put him in a bad mood." belle whispered to sapnap.
"i can still hear you." he sighed.
"good, twat face."

"hey, are you awake?" dream whispered while the two lay in bed late at night.
"yeah why?" she whispered back, "i thought you were sleeping."
"i can't, i'm not tired. wanna go on a walk?" he asked.
"it's like two in the morning." she giggled.
"who cares?"

the pair walked through the streets close to the neighbourhood. the light was illuminated by the bright stars and moon. the lamp posts were dim but enough for the two to see each others faces.
they walked hand in hand without even noticing they were doing it, their arms swinging in unison.
"you never told me what happened with alex." dream said, breaking the silence.
"they text me saying they told her to leave, they weren't mad at me." belle said, relieved. "thanks for calming me down."
"of course." he smiled at her. "you know, you look really pretty right now."
"do i not always?" she teased.
"of course you do, but i don't usually tell you." he said, a little flustered.
"you look beautiful too." she said, her lips turning up into a grin.
"why thank you, m'lady." he joked.
they sat down by a little park, lampposts lighting it up. it was peaceful, only the sound of cars passing every now and then.
"i like spending time just the two of us." belle was the one to break the silence this time.
"me too." he agreed.
"crazy to think we didn't know each other four months ago. i feel like i've known you forever." she thought out loud.
"we became close so quickly." he said softly, "like the universe wanted us to meet each other."
"how poetic." she giggled.
"i try my best." he laughed along with her.
it was obvious belle and dream liked each other. it didn't take a genius to figure it out. you'd be able to tell from just spending a couple minutes with them.
they way their faces lit up when they heard the other one was mentioned, or the way the constantly talked about each other while smiling stupidly.
whenever they were around each other they didn't stop smiling and giggling, the brought out the best in each other. if only one of them wasn't so scared to admit their feelings.
