The roads were bustling, cars swooshing by could be heard along side with people chattering as the passed the sidewalks. Y/N could be seen walking through the amounts of people, feeling a little nervous and out of place as the walked through the crowds.
She'd rarely travel alone in the Muggle world, Harry or her parents or her friends were always there to accompany her, making her feel less awkward as she tried to fit in. Well, why is she there in the first place?
The bushy-haired girl had asked her to wait at the Underground for their date, Y/N was tempted to just travel by Floo but was reminded that..well, there was no fireplace she could transport to in the Underground nor would she fancy the risk of being seen by a Muggle and risked getting expelled, so with that being said she decided to go old fashioned and find her way there herself.
Lucky for her the Underground station that Hermione appointed wasn't that far off, it was only 3 stops from the station nearest to her home. She'd traveled by the Underground once or twice before in her life so she sort of knew what she had to do but Hermione being Hermione had sent her a long letter guiding her every step of the way.
Y/N wouldn't complain though, even if she hate to admit it, that piece of parchment saved her loads of time and loads of unwanted attention. She seemed proud of herself as she was now patiently seated in the tube, waiting to arrive at Hampstead station.
She observed her surroundings trying to take in as much Muggle technology as she could, she was surprised to see people having some sort of buds stuffed into their ears most of the time, they seemed to enjoy whatever that was but the Ravenclaw didn't seem to understand, what's fun having your ears stuffed with two small white buds?
A ding sounded as the tube came to a stop causing her to snap out of her thoughts, "Hampstead Station." it announced. The Ravenclaw's face lit up as she stood up and walked out of the tube, setting foot into the station as she whipped out her phone from her pocket.

Y/N eyebrows furrowed together as she stared at the text. Slowly lifting her head up, instantly forming a wide grin as she watched the bushy-haired girl in the distance waving at her.
The Ravenclaw wasted no time as she bolted towards the girl and instantly wrapped her arms around her waist, instinctively the bushy-haired girl's wrapped around her neck as her face nuzzled into the slightly taller girl's neck.
"I've missed you." Y/N breathed. She felt the bushy-haired girl smile against the crook of her neck before slowly pulling away, "I've missed you too."
They hadn't seen each other in about a month after the Summer Holidays, although they wish they could've met up sooner, they had been busy with their own families considering most of the time they're at Hogwarts and rarely have chances to visit home.
The Ravenclaw broke their gaze as she leaned in and gave her girlfriend a short peck on the forehead causing a soft chuckle to sound from the bushy-haired girl. She pulled away and intertwined her hand with her girlfriends as she tilted her head slightly, "So where are we headed to?"
The bushy-haired girl only shrugged playfully, "It's a surprise." she told with an innocent smile as the Ravenclaw only eyed her skeptically. Hermione snickered teasingly as she tugged the girl back onto the tube, they took two empty seats on the tube as the Ravenclaw kept interrogating the bushy-haired girl but she seemed to only play dumb at every questioned asked.
After a while, Y/N felt herself getting impatient as she turned to the bushy-haired girl once more, "Mione, Seriously I feel like I'm being kidnapped." she deadpanned as the bushy-haired girl only snickered in response.
"Technically, you agreed to come on a date with me, I doubt that's called kidnapping." she retaliated as the Ravenclaw only huffed and rolled her eyes.
Just then, the tube came to stop, the bushy-haired girl sprung up to her feet as she tugged the Ravenclaw out of the tube.
"Almost there." Hermione beamed as she continued to drag the Ravenclaw out fro the Underground to the streets, the sounds of cheerful chattering and cars passing by emerged once more as they made their way through the streets.
The Ravenclaw only eyed the bushy-haired girl skeptically as she was being dragged along the sidewalk, "Mione where the hell are we goi-"
Instantly, her jaw dropped causing her to shut up, her body froze in shock as her eyes couldn't believe what she was seeing in front of her. The bushy-haired girl chuckled softly as she noticed the girl's stunned reaction, "Ta-da"
The Ravenclaw had never seen anything like it before, there were countless amount of tents in a two lines in front of her, some of the tents sold food, some were filled with games you could play and others were souvenirs.
The people there looked so different too, some of them had funny costumes on where some of them had quite horrific ones. Sounds of kids giggling and laughing could be heard which made Y/N's heart melt, never in her life has she felt so amazed.
What caught her eye most though was the large structure in the far distance, It looked like a bicycle wheel but it had lights emitting from it as it slowly spun, curiously she pointed at it and turned to the bushy-hair girl, "Whats that?"
Hermione glanced over off to the distance and grinned, "That's a ferris wheel, we can ride it later, the views better at night." she stated as a soft 'woah' emitted from the Ravenclaw. Hermione chuckled softly as she intertwined her hand with her girlfriends whose eyes were still glued to the view in front of her.
"You like it? It's a carnival fair, I knew you rarely come out and experience Muggle events so I'd thought it'll be a good idea to bring you here." she beamed as the Ravenclaw let out a breathless laugh in response.
"This is brilliant, Mione. Brilliant." Y/N beamed. She felt a tug on her hand causing her to look back to the bushy-haired girl who tilted her head towards the carnival, "Don't just stand there, let's go!"
Just then, Y/N realized she'd been drag in front of one of the many tents, it had lines of balloons stuck onto the wall and a number of different sized stuffed animals were hung from the top of the tent. "Balloon and Dart?" Y/N read in a questioning tone as she observed the banner hanging from the tent.
"Classic carnival game." Hermione told as they watched the children in front of them play the game. "You see that over there?" the bushy-haired girl asked as she pointed towards the table where three pointy objects were seen, the Ravenclaw nodded in response.
"Those are the darts, you get three. You throw them towards the balloons on the wall there and when they pop they reveal a score, the higher the score, the bigger your prize." the bushy-haired girl told as Y/N hummed understandingly.
"How about this." The Ravenclaw spoke as she turned to Hermione smirking. "Let's have a bet." she continued as the bushy-haired girl playfully rolled her eyes and smirked, "Sure, what's the bet?"
Y/N smirked widened as she shrugged playfully, "Whoever wins gets..." she trailed off as she looked around her surroundings, her eyes landing on a certain booth as she pointed to it, "that, that looks delicious."
Hermione chuckled, "They are delicious, those are caramel apples." she told as she glanced to the Ravenclaw. "So we got ourselves a bet?" Y/N questioned competitively as the girl nodded, "Bet."
Then, they made their way towards the 'Balloons and Darts" booth as the Ravenclaw volunteered to play first. She followed her instinct throughout the three dart causing three balloons to pop as the booth operator cheered, "A total of 120 points!"
The Ravenclaw smirked as she turned to the bushy-haired girl and tilted her head, "Your turn.". The bushy-haired girl scoffed as she stepped forward confidently and grabbed the three darts, three pops sounded as she threw the darts.
The booth operator muttered calculations to himself before he turned and grinned at the bushy-haired girl, "140 points!" he beamed as he grabbed a small stuffed animal from the top of the booth and handed it to the bushy-haired girl.
"You're joking!" Y/N groaned as the bushy-haired girl snickered beside her. "Seriously, you call yourself a prophet?" Hermione mocked playfully as the Ravenclaw rolled her eyes and scoffed.
"Oh shut up, Granger." she grumbled as the bushy-haired girl snickered. They made their way to the Caramel apples booth as Y/N ordered for one and paid with some Muggle money she'd asked from her mum since she had them for grocery shopping.
The man gleefully handed one caramel apples to the Ravenclaw who accepted them with a 'thank you' before motioning back to the bushy-haired girl and handing out one to her, "Here." she murmured lowly.
"Thanks." the bushy-haired girl responded as she accepted the snack with her empty hand. She took a bite and hummed in satisfactory intentionally teasing the Ravenclaw as she let out a huff and crossed her arms together.
"Don't be a baby, Love, you lost the bet that you created." Hermione retaliated as she continued to enjoy her caramel apple. The Ravenclaw only rolled her eyes as the bushy-haired girl snickered and motioned the snack in front of the girl, "Fine, take a bite."
Instantly, Y/N lit up as she took a bite, the taste of sweet caramel and the juiciness of the apple melting into her tastebuds as she fluttered her eyes closed and hummed in satisfaction. "This is delicious."
The bushy-haired girl snickered as she nodded in agreement, "It is isn't it?" she responded as they started walking down a few booths. The Ravenclaw kept looking around as she observed each and every booth, each one fascinating her even more.
"You know, Mum would love to be here, she works for the Muggle department in the Ministry." Y/N mentioned. The bushy haired girl nodded as she took another bite of her caramel apple, "Mhm, so would Mr. Weasley. We should bring them here one day. Perhaps it'll help with their work too."
The Ravenclaw hummed in agreement as she sneakily took a bite of the caramel apple in her girlfriends hold, "Hey!" Hermione barked as she slapped the girl on the shoulder. Y/N only snickered as she continued to chew on the caramel apple as Hermione huffed, "You're unbelievable."
"that's why you love me." Y/N retaliated as she shrugged playfully while Hermione rolled her eyes and groaned. "Here let's take a seat, i'm craving some tea." the Ravenclaw told as she motioned towards a two seater table next to a coffee and tea booth.
The Ravenclaw scanned through the menu written on the chalkboard on the booth and turned to Hermione who just finished her last bite of caramel apple, "What'd you like?" she questioned.
The bushy-haired girl squinted her eyes as she read through the menu written in chalk, "A Cappuccino would do." she responded as the Ravenclaw nodded in response and headed to the front of the booth to order.
After awhile, Y/N returned with two cups of drinks and placed them on the table as she took her seat, the bushy-haired girl sent her a thankful grin, "Thanks love."
The Ravenclaw nodded as she sent the girl a dismissive wave, "It's nothing, I should thank you, this date, it's wonderful." she beamed as she continued to observe everything surrounding her. Hermione grinned as she took a sip of her coffee.
"Muggles always seemed to fascinate me, mum would tell me stories of the Muggle objects she'd find at the Ministry, it's brilliant!" she praised as the bushy-haired girl chuckled in response. "Speaking of your mum, how're they? You know after you saving Sirius and all.."
The Ravenclaw leaned back into her chair and sighed, "They weren't surprised really, they knew Uncle Sirius was always the good guy, apparently dad was good friends with him back in the day, Uncle Sirius was part of the reason he decided to become an Auror." she told as the bushy-haired girl nodded understandingly.
the Ravenclaw then leaned forward as she clasped her hands together, "How about you?, how're your parents?"
The bushy-haired girl shrugged, "Not much, they've been having more appointments than usual but overall, everything's great." she responded nonchalantly as the Ravenclaw nodded.
The Ravenclaw averted her gaze from the bushy-haired girl as she fiddled with her fingers nervously, "You think we'll finally have a normal year at Hogwarts?" she questioned as she took a sip of her tea.
The bushy-haired girl sighed as she leaned back into her seat, "I'd hope so, it'll be nice knowing that you and Harry aren't hunted down for once." she responded as the Ravenclaw snickered, "You don't say."
Just then, the bushy-haired girl stood up and grinned at the Ravenclaw, "C'mon, let me introduce you to more games before we ride the Ferris wheel."

"It's beautiful, isn't it?" the bushy-haired girl praised as she and her girlfriend were now seated side by side in one of the Ferris Wheel carts as it slowly moved upwards.
The Ravenclaw hummed as she observed the beautiful night sky and buildings below them, "Breathtaking." she murmured breathlessly. She glanced over to the bushy-haired girl and smiled as she observed her side profile.
The lights from the Ferris Wheel and the moon shining perfectly onto her skin, Y/N couldn't help but feel her heart flutter at the sight as her eyes trailed from her hair down to her jawline. At that moment, she felt the luckiest, the luckiest person ever to be able to call Hermione Granger hers.
Suddenly, the bushy-haired girl turned to the Ravenclaw, she noticed the girl staring at her as she tilted her head amusingly, "Staring again, are we?"
Y/N felt her cheeks flash a subtle pink but only rolled her eyes and scoffed, "Nobody asked you to be so beautiful." she retorted as the bushy-haired girl playfully nudged the girl's side, "Oh shut up."
"I think I'd prefer this view over anything." Y/N mused as she noticed the bushy-haired girl's cheeks flash a light pink. She rolled her eyes and shook her head playfully, "Okay now that's enough."
The Ravenclaw snickered and sighed as she reached up her hand to cup her girlfriends cheek, her thumb slowly caressing her skin as she continued to admire the girl's face, "How did I get this lucky?" she breathed as the bushy-haired girl shook her head disapprovingly.
"Enough with the compliments." she retorted. Her eyes widened slightly as she noticed the Ravenclaw's face now only inches away from hers.
The Ravenclaw flickered her eyes down to her lips then back up to her brown eyes before tilting her head slightly, "You enjoy them." she mused in a whispered tone. The bushy-haired girl's cheeks darkened in color as she scoffed, "Shut up."
Just then, they felt the ferris wheel coming to a stop as they were now at the very top. Y/N glanced around before returning her gaze back to her girlfriend, a smirk rose to her lips, "Just in time." she murmured lowly.
The bushy-haired girl grew slightly confused as her eyebrows furrowed together, "In time for wha-"
Her eyes went wide as she felt her girlfriends lips collide with hers but soon relaxed herself and fluttered her eyes close as she kissed back, the two girls feeling their heartbeats beat in sync as their lips moved together perfectly.
Both of them melting into each other as the world around them began to disappear. Oh how Y/N missed this, missed the sensation of sparks sending throughout her body from her girlfriend's lips, missed the feeling of her girlfriend's touch, voice, laugh, everything.
In the moment, she felt her heart flutter continuosly as she melted deeper and deeper into the kiss, her surroundings fully disappearing, leaving just the two of them in the moment, just the two of them.
Y/N smiled against the bushy-haired girl's lips as she slowly pulled away, their foreheads leaning against each other as they slowly fluttered their eyes open. Y/N couldn't help but smile as she locked eyes with her girlfriends radiant brown-eyes.
She sighed softly at the sight, "I love you. I really really love you."
